We really enjoyed our stay. The staff met us right at the train platform and walked us to the hotel, which was very convenient and thoughtful after a long journey. The hotel is clean, cozy, and comfortable, and you can truly feel the care for guests. After visiting Machu Picchu, even after check-out, we still had plenty of time before our train. The staff kindly allowed us to wait in the lobby, charge our phones, and use the Wi-Fi, which was extremely helpful. We highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel is literally at the train station! Very convenient for taking train to Machu Picchu. However this is an eco lodge - 100 years old & it feels like that. There are no amenities to speak of, the onsite restaurant is very limited especially for vegetarian options.  The rooms are  bare with floors & bed that creaks!! (Did I say it’s a century old?) The bathroom is very basic and more like a 2* hotel. Level of furnishings is again basic.  I paid $425 for 1 night & felt badly conned. Definitely not worth that amount.  Service- receptionist & all staff are very warm n friendly so that was really nice.  Cleanliness- very clean hotel.

My room was clean and organized. The bathroom is very small but reasonable for myself. The quality of the shampoo and other soaps were poor, so bring your own. If you need a clean and cheap place to stay, this place is good.

The hotel is a few minutes walking distance from the Machu Picchu train station and right on the side of the rails. The best thing is that it is also only 2-minutes away from the bus stop that takes visitors to the entrance of Machu Picchu so it is ideal for any early morning excursions. During the day and up until around 9pm there will be trains passing by every once in a while and can get loud, but otherwise there is not too much source of noise. Since Aguas Calientes is a tiny town, most of the restaurants, marketplaces, and cafes are within a 10 to 15-minute walking distance. The hotel is clean and well-maintained, with a great balcony view of the surrounding mountains. Receptionist Mary was extremely helpful through WhatsApp communications, even coming to the train station to pick up guests, and gave a lot of information about visiting Machu Picchu. Breakfast allowed for an early start to accommodate those having early morning entrance tickets, and it was a decent buffet of varied food and made-to-order eggs. They were also very generous to allow guests to stay and rest in the reception area after check-out time and keep bags in storage before taking a late afternoon train. All in all a great choice if you are planning to visit Machu Picchu

Thank you for choosing a hotel. This hotel will surely surprise you! The location is excellent, three to five minutes walk from the train station and bus station. The surrounding area is full of restaurants and canteens. As soon as you enter the hotel room, you will smell a warm fragrance, which is very hygienic, convenient, and comfortable. The service is superb. Peruvians are kind, simple, and helpful. Those who gave such bad reviews are very curious to me. In fact, you should also pay attention to being kind and open-minded when you are away. When you are at peace, you will feel comfortable with everyone. Definitely recommend this hotel!

A Very Reliable and Well-Located Base for Machu Picchu My stay at Hotel Pakarina was a very positive experience. It served as an excellent and comfortable base for visiting Machu Picchu. Here’s a detailed breakdown of my stay: · Excellent Location: The hotel is perfectly located. You are within easy walking distance of the bus station to Machu Picchu, the train station, and the central market. Most importantly, there are ample food options and restaurants available right near the hotel, making it incredibly convenient for meals. Taxi charges 35 USD Time: 1.5hrs ollantaytambo train station to Machu Picchu/ aguas calientes train station: 135 USD return tickets, per person. Time: 1.45hrs Aguas calientes train station to hotel is on walk of 500 meters. Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu Bus available: 24 USD return ticket. Time 20min · Helpful and Friendly Owner: A major highlight was the owner. He was exceptionally helpful, offering great advice and guiding us on our tour plans. This local insight was invaluable and made our trip much smoother. · Good Daily Breakfast: The included breakfast was tasty and satisfying, providing a great start to the day. It's also the time when tea and coffee are served, so you can get your caffeine fix before heading out. · Clean and Tidy: Daily cleaning service is provided, and our room was always kept spotless. The hotel feels very well-maintained. · Convenient Currency: As noted, USD is widely accepted in the area at the market rate, which includes settling your bill at the hotel. This makes things very easy for international travelers. Things to Note: · No In-Room Tea/Coffee: Be aware that there are no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. You'll need to wait for the breakfast service or pop out to one of the many nearby cafes if you want a drink outside of those hours.

Great value, great room view and restaurant view. Free breakfast. Room was clean, but no air-conditioned, I guess all hotels here have none. Unfortunately the room I got is right in front above where their exhaust fan releases smoke so if I leave the room opened, the room will smell food. A lot of restaurants nearby, hotel is facing the railway, so you can get a railway view or mountain / lake view.

We had a nice short stay in NaturaLodge and will remembering this place by its enormous and comfortable bed! It compensated the music that was on 24/7 at some neighbor-hotel. Sometimes it was hard to find somebody who could help us at the desk, or there was only a kid behind the desk. But overall our stay was good and a nice location, close to the busses leaving to Machu Picchu.
