"We stayed at Vibe Hotel Melbourne Docklands over the weekend and had a great experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and very spacious, with a lovely view. The bathtub was a real bonus and the range of toiletries provided was excellent.
It was super easy to get into the city with a tram stop right out the front. Credit to the management for maintaining such a high standard throughout the hotel. We would definitely stay here again."

"The location is genuinely great, right in Chinatown. Downstairs, you can find anything you want to eat. It's a perfect spot for Chinese tourists because you can get Chinese food anytime. If you need a convenience store, there's one right next door. You can also head to Chinatown for noodles in the morning. Across the street, there's a theater currently showing a Michael Jackson musical.
You can check in online in advance; they'll send you an email. I checked in at the front desk, and the Indian guy was very friendly. They gave me a high-floor room. The room size isn't big, but it's just right for one or two people. The bed and pillows are comfortable, and it's very clean. However, there's no complimentary bottled water or slippers, which really surprised me. The bathroom also lacks a bath mat, so be careful when showering. Otherwise, everything else is pretty good.
The gym isn't large, but the equipment is sufficient, with plenty of machines for compound training. I didn't opt for breakfast because there are so many food options downstairs, all within walking distance. The lobby bar on the ground floor is lively in the evenings.
Overall, the price-performance ratio is excellent, but many things are minimalist, like the lack of slippers and water. The location is good, and the comfort level is adequate. So, if you prioritize price and location, this place is a solid choice."

"The night receptionists were great, with excellent service. The location is in Zone 2, and you can catch a ride right outside the corner, though for a group, taking an Uber to the city center might be more cost-effective.
The hotel's design meant that none of the bathroom doors had locks. In our first room, the bathroom door was semi-transparent with a large gap on the side, making it uncomfortable and awkward since there were four of us sharing the room. After speaking with the staff, we were moved to another room with a solid wooden bathroom door, which was much better.
However, the new room's lighting was very dim, and some power outlets were loose; even their own lamp would fall out. The small cooking light in the kitchen was also broken. The towel rack in the bathroom was attached to the ceiling, but the ceiling around it was cracked and looked like it was about to fall, which felt quite dangerous. One day, I requested room cleaning and left a note asking them not to make the bed, but the staff didn't even empty the bathroom trash; instead, they left a trash bag for me to change myself....
There were only two tissues left, and they weren't refilled. When I went down to the reception, the staff said they could only make a note to refill them tomorrow, as they didn't have any immediately available. There was no phone in the room, so I had to go to the front desk myself to find staff. Each shift only had one receptionist, so usually, I'd have to wait 10-15 minutes while they dealt with other guests, which was ridiculous. It's not that the staff are bad, but they are severely understaffed! Also, because there was a kitchen but no cooking utensils, when I asked the front desk, the receptionist had to personally bring a set up... they're clearly too busy!"

"Pros: The room was much more spacious than I expected, very clean, modern, and well-maintained. I also loved having a Smart TV in the room. The service was excellent, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay.
Cons: One thing I found disappointing was that there were no women's sanitary products or basic pain relief available, which meant I had to go out early in the morning to purchase them myself. The shower pressure was also quite low, and the water temperature was often colder than expected.
Overall: Despite these minor issues, I really enjoyed my stay and felt it offered great value for money. I would definitely consider staying here again."

"We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights at this hotel. The room and overall stay were okay, but there were a few disappointing points during our visit.
Most of the staff were not very welcoming or smiling, except for one male waiter during breakfast who was friendly and attentive.
We were also disappointed that the spa was not working during our stay, as this was one of the main things we were looking forward to. They offered complimentary drinks as compensation, which we appreciated, but it still did not make up for missing that experience.
Another issue was the coffee machine during breakfast — the coffee was not hot even after we informed the staff.
On a positive note, the reception staff gave my son a teddy bear during check-out, which was a sweet gesture and made him very happy.
Overall, the stay was decent, but the service and facilities could definitely be improved."

"Need to check in on the 2nd floor.
Location: It's on a very narrow street with a small sign, but it's close to Chinatown which is quite convenient. Downstairs, there's a Chinese noodle restaurant that accepts WeChat Pay, and also a cafe.
Cleanliness: Overall, it's quite new. There are no toothbrushes or slippers, and the room isn't big, but it's fine for one person. It's cleaned daily.
The sink, toilet, and shower are all separate. There's a kettle, but no bottled water; you need to go to the 2nd floor to get water.
I stayed on the 24th floor, the elevator is fast, and the night view from the window is nice."

"I recently stayed here for a couple of nights and had a pleasant experience. The location is unbeatable—it's situated right in the heart of the city, making it very easy to access public transport and local attractions.

"I booked this hotel for a business trip by chance, and it completely exceeded my expectations! GGuest UserThis is a very nice resort. The interior is very clean and large. Bed is comfortable and toilet is good with jacuzzi. You will see kangaroos and cockatoos outside the cottage in the morning and evening. My kids enjoy the stay very much. However you need to either cook your own meals or drive out to eat. The drive is about 15 mins.

DDDDoDDDThe bed size in the room didn't match what was advertised. The website stated a 'deluxe king-size bed,' which should typically be 1.8m. However, as shown in the picture, it was actually a queen-size bed, approximately 1.5m. My large suitcase is 80cm, and at 1.77m tall, I was significantly taller than the bed's width. A manager named Nicolas told me that this is considered an Australian standard king-size. However, I study in Sydney and have a king-size bed at home, and all king-size beds sold in Australian furniture stores are 1.8m. I'm not sure which 'Australia' he was referring to. As an airport hotel, the soundproofing of the windows wasn't particularly good; I could still hear cars from downstairs. Despite this being a hotel issue, Trip.com was very patient and responsible in their coordination and communication. The front desk staff, Tarek, had an excellent service attitude and paid great attention to detail.

You can even see the trains passing by from the window. The room was very spacious and had a balcony. However, the bed was too soft for my liking and not very comfortable to sleep on.

That really made our day. There's a fantastic selection of food nearby, the service was excellent, and the hotel facilities were top-notch.

GGuest UserBooked 2 rooms and upgraded to a corner room with views only to spend the whole stay in darkness with no views or natural light as the electric drapes were not working and multiple attempts to fix by maintenance were not succesf. Was told they were coming back to fix but when I went to reception at 7:45pm to ask why they’re not fixed I was told they determined they could not fix until a later date, Requested a room refund from Crown which was declined. Very poor experience and will be taking the request for refund further. With no natural light it was akin to staying in a large dormitory.

EeMGee_Good location. Just in front of the tram stop Russel Street on Bourke. There's a Thai & Japanese Restaurant downstairs as well. Front desk is extremely helpful & jolly. Bed is just right. Room is clean. There's a hair dryer, iron, safe, but no toothbrush, I didn't ask, but maybe it's upon request. The good thing about Citadines on Bourke is they have a full kitchen with plates & silverware. We didn't use it, but having a microwave is definitely a plus. They didn't clean daily, but maybe you can ask. But it wasn't an issue for us. We didn't need it anyway. Overall it was a good place to stay in Melbourne, we feel it's very central and near good places to be at.

GGuest UserIt would have been good except for the large western facing windows left without blinds down and an electrical setup that turns the air conditioning off when no one is in the room. So we arrived to stifling heat, and an air conditioner that doesn't really cool the bedrooms, and no fans or windows in the main bedroom. Most other things were good, but having a comfortable room is fundamental and the apartment just isn't set up for that. We enjoyed the location and the pool. We can't really speak to service levels cos we didn't ask for, expect or get any. It was a bit frustrating that the hotel only had a booking for 4 adults when we made a booking for 2A+3C on trip.com but who knows who was responsible for that.

GGuest UserI spent a long time choosing this hotel on the platform before my trip to Melbourne. The listing mentioned it was a new opening in December 2025, and the location looked fantastic – right next to Queen Victoria Market with tram stops just downstairs, making it super easy to get to all the attractions.
I was in Room 506. However, after checking in, I noticed two lights in the room weren't working, as shown in the picture. Since there's no main ceiling light, my friend and I had to rely on just one corridor light, three small desk lamps, and natural light from the window to get around the room. This made putting on makeup really inconvenient. The bathroom lighting was also quite warm-toned, and it felt a bit cramped with both of us trying to get ready in there.
The bedding was clean, which was good. But, we found leftover paper scraps from the previous guest in the rubbish bin, and there was even some product packaging left in the storage cabinet near the entrance.
The hotel appears to be a renovation, as the air conditioning control panel was yellowed and looked quite old.
It's worth noting this isn't a traditional hotel; it's a serviced apartment. I've previously stayed at serviced apartments from brands like Stey and Habyt on short-term rentals, and based on this experience, I feel lyf still has a lot of room for improvement.

TTina FeThe hotel carpet smells, the building is old and needs a total replacement of carpet. When we entered our room. It smells like bleach everywhere. We have to open the window to make it go away. The room is decent size and the toilet and bath are separated where there are no hand basin to use after using the toilet if someone is using the shower or bath tub. The view from our balcony is magnificent, the Melbourne tall buildings skyline. I also love the location because it is near public transport, free tram and shops, even universities. The kitchen are complete with cooking utensils and pans. They got free coffee, tea and milk. The toiletries were given 1 set of tiny bottles but we are 4 people booked in.

BBec143I’ve stayed at numerous at the Punt Hill apartments over the past decade, though it had been a while since I last stayed in one.
Our one bedroom apartment was spacious, however the hotel is quite run down now.
Walls in the bathroom weren’t very clean, neither were mugs and cutlery (I always make a habit of cleaning things before I use them!).
I ended up staying mostly in the hotel as I was sick with the flu so I noticed the wifi was very glitchy and intermittent too so it made streaming shows quite difficult to watch that I ended up just using my phone.
The beds were comfortable though!
The location is actually fantastic too, right in the heart of China town and easily walkable to places.
