"Having no usb ports to charge your phone and devices is very poor in this present day even vline trains have usb ports I’ve stayed in altitude of places and they have always had at least two usb ports after contacting them 4 times 9 hours later gave us a alarm clock with usb port but the usb port was faulty so we just gave up everything else was ok comfy bed and pillows and room was fairly clean"

"Location is king here, right next to Chinatown with several tram lines and shopping centers like Myer. Not to mention all the hot pot and bubble tea shops. The facilities are pretty basic, on par with a budget hotel. Good water pressure and fast Wi-Fi are a plus, but that's about it. The king room was made by pushing two twin beds together, but the bed wasn't flat, so the sleep quality was poor. Soundproofing is non-existent; luckily, it was quiet at night, but from 6 AM, you could hear people moving around outside crystal clear. The air conditioning was a nightmare – it was so loud, I actually dreamt I was still on an airplane. The second night, I just turned it off and slept without it, which was a bit better."

"The hotel's location is excellent; it's very convenient for getting to any place in the CBD, whether for dining or shopping. The room is well-equipped with a mini-fridge, ironing board, iron, hairdryer, and electric kettle. Overall, it's good and worth recommending."

"Rydges is a great hotel and the location is perfect. This is my second time staying here. The first time, I booked a Deluxe King Corner Room with the church view, that room is absolutely gorgeous. This time we stayed in a Twin King Suite. The view isn’t as nice, but having the beds separated from the sitting area is perfect, especially for the kids bedtime. A couple of downsides: the pool isn’t very kid-friendly if your children aren’t strong swimmers, or if you’re shorter and need to supervise them closely. The shallow end is still 1.2 metres deep. The couch in the room is also not very comfortable, honestly, the floor felt like a better option. We also had trouble getting through to reception from the room phone. We tried calling four times with no answer and ended up walking down, which was fine, but a bit inconvenient. Room service picked up quickly though, so I’m not sure if there’s an issue with their reception line. Overall, still a lovely stay, just a few things to be aware of."

"This hotel definitely deserves five stars. The location is excellent, very close to the outlet mall, so you can bring your purchases back to your room right away. And the fact that Coles is open until 11 PM really blew me away! We stayed here on our last night, so it was a brief experience, but overall, it was genuinely great. The front desk staff were super friendly, mostly Chinese, so I'm guessing they offer Chinese language service. The manager was also very nice; when we wanted to see the inside of the secret door in our room, she immediately came to unlock it for us to inspect. Our room was upgraded, probably to a balcony room, so the overall space was quite large. The design is grand and stylish, with black pinstripe frames that look fantastic. The room feels very new, and all the appliances are top-notch. The bed and bedding were clean and comfortable. The bathroom features large marble tiles, which are incredibly expensive – I know from asking about prices when I renovated my own home. They're flawless except for the cost, so it's clear the hotel invested a lot in its decor. The shower water was very comfortable, and the toiletries were also from a good brand. It was quiet at night, which was excellent. I booked it for one night to try after seeing it recommended on Xiao Hong Shu. I booked quite late on the day, so it cost over 200 SGD, which was a bit pricier than usual."

"Good: Great location near china town, trams, and attractions. Very friendly staff that is happy to help you. Easy to get to and from the airport. Breakfast was good with decent variety. Not so good: The shower open design makes it difficult to have a pleasant warm shower. Everything will get wet so make sure to get extra towels."

"Great overnight stay. Was in Melbourne for business. Room was equipped with all that is needed for a sole traveller. Small room but room was sufficient. Service was good. Was a little noisy, may have been elevator near by or aircon, not sure, bit manageable. Would stay again. Had a titanic feel from the decor and loved it."

"I loved the location — it’s set in a comfortable part of the Docklands with a shopping centre nearby. The room and bed were very good, providing a comfortable stay. However, my only disappointment was the cleanliness: many surfaces, including the cups, had fingerprints and grease marks, which suggested a lack of proper cleaning. I ended up cleaning them myself. That said, the staff were excellent — especially at the front desk, where they were professional, welcoming, and very helpful."

"The SkyBus is right downstairs, a direct 30-minute ride to the airport. It's super convenient as Southern Cross Station is also downstairs, making it easy to get anywhere. The CBD is close by, and there are plenty of dining options. It's perfect for business travel."
