"Just stayed here again for the second time in a month. The staff’s kindness and convenience in location has made us come back and would want to come back again. The lady at the reception (Sorry i didn’t get your name) was so lovely and helpful. We were 10mins early and she had let us checkin and had tried to accommodate our requests. The room was actually way better than what we booked (did not expected the pull out bed but we’re so happy about it) but the bathroom was not cleaned that much. The sink drains so slow like it was a bit clogged and sometimes smelly. It was also dirty when we came in (sink). The circle thingy in the middle was broken too. We asked for our room the next day too and wasn’t cleaned that much. Breakfast is amazing and the staff there is very nice too."

"This hotel is decent, feels more like an upscale domestic chain. We stayed for two nights, and the hotel was fully booked, with a constant flow of guests. I also noticed many airline staff staying here. We booked a twin room. The room wasn't huge, but thankfully there was still enough space for two large suitcases. The best thing about this hotel is its excellent location. We walked to Central and St. Paul's Cathedral. Chinatown nearby offers a wide variety of food and drinks, and there's also a large Coles supermarket close by for supplies. During our stay, the hotel offered a 'no housekeeping, get a restaurant voucher' service. If you don't need daily housekeeping, this is a pretty good deal. Finally, a quick note: they don't accept cash for the deposit; only card payments! I used a pre-authorization from my China Merchants Bank card. The front desk said it might take over ten business days to refund the deposit depending on the card, but surprisingly, I received it the day after checking out, which was quite reasonable."

"The night receptionists were great, with excellent service. The location is in Zone 2, and you can catch a ride right outside the corner, though for a group, taking an Uber to the city center might be more cost-effective. The hotel's design meant that none of the bathroom doors had locks. In our first room, the bathroom door was semi-transparent with a large gap on the side, making it uncomfortable and awkward since there were four of us sharing the room. After speaking with the staff, we were moved to another room with a solid wooden bathroom door, which was much better. However, the new room's lighting was very dim, and some power outlets were loose; even their own lamp would fall out. The small cooking light in the kitchen was also broken. The towel rack in the bathroom was attached to the ceiling, but the ceiling around it was cracked and looked like it was about to fall, which felt quite dangerous. One day, I requested room cleaning and left a note asking them not to make the bed, but the staff didn't even empty the bathroom trash; instead, they left a trash bag for me to change myself.... There were only two tissues left, and they weren't refilled. When I went down to the reception, the staff said they could only make a note to refill them tomorrow, as they didn't have any immediately available. There was no phone in the room, so I had to go to the front desk myself to find staff. Each shift only had one receptionist, so usually, I'd have to wait 10-15 minutes while they dealt with other guests, which was ridiculous. It's not that the staff are bad, but they are severely understaffed! Also, because there was a kitchen but no cooking utensils, when I asked the front desk, the receptionist had to personally bring a set up... they're clearly too busy!"

"I booked this hotel for a business trip by chance, and it completely exceeded my expectations! The location is perfect – quiet yet central, making it easy to meet clients while still being away from the hustle and bustle. The room facilities are new and complete, with a smart toilet, high-speed WiFi, and an HD TV, catering to both work and relaxation. The staff were incredibly attentive; they proactively helped me with my luggage and even upgraded my room for free. The freshly ground coffee and handmade pastries at breakfast were absolutely divine, starting my day off with energy. They even gave me a complimentary gift when I checked out, which really made a lasting impression! I've already recommended it to colleagues, and I'll definitely be staying here again on future visits."

"The location is genuinely great, right in Chinatown. Downstairs, you can find anything you want to eat. It's a perfect spot for Chinese tourists because you can get Chinese food anytime. If you need a convenience store, there's one right next door. You can also head to Chinatown for noodles in the morning. Across the street, there's a theater currently showing a Michael Jackson musical. You can check in online in advance; they'll send you an email. I checked in at the front desk, and the Indian guy was very friendly. They gave me a high-floor room. The room size isn't big, but it's just right for one or two people. The bed and pillows are comfortable, and it's very clean. However, there's no complimentary bottled water or slippers, which really surprised me. The bathroom also lacks a bath mat, so be careful when showering. Otherwise, everything else is pretty good. The gym isn't large, but the equipment is sufficient, with plenty of machines for compound training. I didn't opt for breakfast because there are so many food options downstairs, all within walking distance. The lobby bar on the ground floor is lively in the evenings. Overall, the price-performance ratio is excellent, but many things are minimalist, like the lack of slippers and water. The location is good, and the comfort level is adequate. So, if you prioritize price and location, this place is a solid choice."

"Really liked the location of the hotel - was convenient yet in a location that’s not too noisy, just off King’s street at Flinders Lane. Really convenient many eateries, but will still need to walk about 10 minutes to Little Bourke street to access areas with more shops and eateries. Room was really good, a bit small, but clean and amenities were all there. Liked the fact there was a Nespresso machine as well."

"Location is about 1 min walk away from tram stop. It’s located within free tram zone, and it’s about 20min away from the city centre. Room is cleaned daily. There is a small fully equipped kitchen. In addition washer and dryer are provided too which benefitted us greatly. However the sound proofing can be improved, we could hear sounds from the corridor when our neighbours returned late at night. The bed is also on the softer side."

"The hotel's location is super convenient! It's just a few minutes' walk to the free tram zone and the central train station, making it really easy to get to all the attractions. There are also tons of shops and restaurants nearby, so you'll find everything you need. The hotel breakfast was great too, with plenty of choices. I'd definitely stay here again next time."

"Good location. Just in front of the tram stop Russel Street on Bourke. There's a Thai & Japanese Restaurant downstairs as well. Front desk is extremely helpful & jolly. Bed is just right. Room is clean. There's a hair dryer, iron, safe, but no toothbrush, I didn't ask, but maybe it's upon request. The good thing about Citadines on Bourke is they have a full kitchen with plates & silverware. We didn't use it, but having a microwave is definitely a plus. They didn't clean daily, but maybe you can ask. But it wasn't an issue for us. We didn't need it anyway. Overall it was a good place to stay in Melbourne, we feel it's very central and near good places to be at."
