"We had a wonderful 2-day stay at this hotel with our family. The location was excellent, and the service provided by the staff was friendly, professional, and attentive throughout our visit. The hotel met our expectations and offered a comfortable and enjoyable experience. The building itself is a little older, and some of the room furnishings are showing their age, which is the main reason I rated a few categories 4 stars instead of 5. However, this did not affect the overall quality of our stay. Overall, we were very pleased with our experience and truly enjoyed our time here. We would definitely choose to stay at this hotel again on our next visit to Montreal. Highly recommended!"

"Great location in downtown Montreal, close to restaurants and attractions. The room was clean, modern, and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Loved the cozy lobby and on-site café. A perfect base for exploring the city—would definitely stay here again on my next visit!"

"Quick visit. Booked soley for rooftop heated year round pool. Even paid extra just for that and it was Closed upon arrival due to flight delay. Rained all next day and wasn’t able to use pool after checkout at 11am due to deacvivated key cards. Overall nice hotel, but not worth money for not being able to use pool."

"Service at concierge was excellent. This lady at the breakfast, her name Mayra, should change her job. No customer care at all. She gave us attitude when we checked in to access the breakfast room. In fact we did not go back for the rest of the 3 days. Also, They missed a day to clean out room and to change our towels due to new year eve rush. Lastly, The 5-10 minutes waiting for an elevator every time it is something they need to resolve. Location is excellent but they should improve in the restorations and modernization of the floors and rooms. Wall paper coming off, in the corridors, paint peeling off in the shower. It looks very sloppy. For CAD$350 per night I would have aspected something better."

"I chose this hotel because of the good reviews I read online, and I can happily say I wasn't disappointed with my choice. Check-in & Parking Our check-in process was completely smooth and hassle-free. We parked our car in the hotel’s free parking lot. It was quite packed—I assume there was a wedding or another big event going on at the time—but despite the crowd, we managed to find a spot for our car. Room & Amenities The room was beautiful, spacious, and very clean. The beds were comfortable, and the floors were spotless. This is a multi-story hotel with a functioning elevator. I learned that it used to belong to a major hotel chain before it changed ownership and name. You can definitely feel that legacy, as it still maintains a certain standard of high quality. The building itself doesn't look worn out at all. Another great perk was the ice machine; we were able to fill up our icebox for the car free of charge, which was super convenient. The room's AC worked perfectly, the TV had plenty of channels, and the Wi-Fi connection was stable and smooth. Location & Value The hotel is located close to the airport, making it an excellent choice for travelers who need easy airport access. While it is a bit far from the city center, it worked perfectly for us since we had a car. If you don't have a vehicle, the distance from downtown might be something to consider, but for our needs, it was just right. Conclusion Overall, I really liked it. The pricing was very reasonable for what it offers. It’s a clean, comfortable, and highly stayable place. I would definitely recommend it!"

"There is an attached restaurant on the first floor of the hotel, which provides a continental breakfast. It costs 11 knives per person (approximately). Then you can choose your own food with milk (cold), morning cereals, bagels, bacon, sausages, yogurt and fruit. You can also order your own breakfast. Good location, 5 minutes walk from Chinatown subway station, 8 minutes walk from Laogang. No extra bed available. There is generation parking service."

"We reserved a more expensive king room a very long time ago, but finally we got a double bed room on our first day without any refund, what we got is only complementary breakfast, for a couple it’s extremely bad experience. We ask for daily cleaning and I do remind the staff at the front desk before I leave the room for journey on a day, but we found that the cleaning lady forget cleaning the room and the lady pass the buck that we put the do not disturb sign at the door handler which is not the FACT! Also we are care about safe at lobby, but we do found tramp coming lobby for a free coffee at self serve coffee machine, hotel need to address this serious problem as soon as possible, I sincerely hope the hotel can read this review seriously and understand my disappointment."

"Room was spacious, comfy and clean. We love their chocolate cookies upon arrival. That was a nice treat and warm welcome, especially for kids. It is located a bit far from the Old Montreal district. At this competitive price and quality, this is not an issue for us. We actually came back to here for another night within the week."

"I chose this hotel for my three-day F1 trip to Montreal, prioritizing convenient transportation and a relatively new property. I booked it in advance, paying over 9000 for three nights. First, the positives: it's close to the subway and surrounded by many restaurants. The room was spacious with complete amenities, even a microwave, which is very convenient for families. However, the room faced the highway, and there was no mention or warning about this in any of the hotel's descriptions or notices. As a result, the noise for all three nights was almost as loud as the F1 race cars I was watching, making it impossible to sleep. I specifically requested a quiet room when booking, but the hotel made no arrangements. Given my pre-existing sleep issues and high blood pressure, this led to severe headaches and insomnia. On the first night, I woke up in the middle of the night to ask if I could change rooms, but they said they were fully booked and I'd have to wait until the next day to see. I also contacted Ctrip to help me communicate, hoping to switch rooms the next day or get a refund for the remaining two nights so I could change hotels. The front desk told me they were fully booked and couldn't offer a refund. I asked if they had earplugs or anything to reduce the noise, and they directly replied that they had no such provisions 😪😪. Another issue: on the first day, I left a tip, and the room was tidied perfectly. On the second day, I forgot to leave a tip before heading out early, and when I returned, there were no towels on the rack 😂. I found them myself under the sink. The hairdryer I used in the morning was left on the vanity, and it was still in the same spot when I returned, untouched. Ctrip was actively communicating with the hotel on my behalf throughout, but unfortunately, the hotel didn't respond at all. Regardless, thank you, Ctrip. The contrast was stark: for the fourth night, I chose a Marriott at the airport to catch an early flight, initially fearing it would be too noisy to sleep. To my surprise, the room had excellent soundproofing, came with four pairs of earplugs, two complimentary bottles of water, and fantastic room facilities. I hope Hilton Garden Inn will accurately describe the surrounding environment in their room type descriptions. This is my first time writing such a long hotel review; it was truly an unbearable experience ☹️."
