Find 4-Star Hotels in Geneva

This is a business hotel with clean, tidy, and adequately sized rooms. However, if you're traveling with children and have more than two suitcases, I'd recommend booking at least a 'boutique room' as standard rooms might not have enough space for your luggage. The hotel staff are highly professional; I even encountered an employee (not ethnically Chinese) who spoke fluent Mandarin. Although they weren't speaking to me directly, it felt very welcoming. Indeed, there were quite a few Chinese guests coming and going. The hotel's lobby bar is excellent, offering a wide selection of drinks from 11 AM until late evening. The staff there are very enthusiastic. Crucially, the hotel is incredibly close to the airport. One of the photos I uploaded shows a building at the end of the road, which is part of the airport complex. To its left is P51, the car rental parking lot at Geneva Airport, and T1 terminal is just a short walk to its right. It's only a 7-minute walk from P51 back to the hotel, and 12 minutes from the terminal. This makes it particularly convenient for travelers who rent and return their cars at Geneva Airport. Of course, the hotel also provides a free shuttle bus service to and from the airport. It runs every 20 minutes, takes about 5 minutes, and I believe it starts as early as 4 AM. Turn right just 30 meters from the hotel entrance, and you'll find a bus stop for the No. 10 bus, which goes directly to Lake Geneva (a 5-minute walk from the stop) and Geneva Old Town. Upon check-in, the front desk provides an A4 printout with a free electronic public transport pass. Simply scan the QR code to download the 'hello Geneva' app, enter the 8-digit coupon ID, and you can generate an electronic travel card. You can use it for free for as many days as you're staying at the hotel. Breakfast is served on the basement level, with both indoor and outdoor seating (smoking allowed outdoors). The food selection is decent, including coffee, milk, juices, sausages, eggs (uncommonly, besides the usual cheesy scrambled eggs, they also offered fried egg rolls), salmon, and a good variety of cold cuts like ham and salami. Fruits, toast, bread, and mini croissants are also available. The hotel's charging sockets require an adapter. They support UK-style plugs, but for European round plugs, the recessed holes are quite deep. If you bring an adapter from home, make sure it's a long-tipped one like mine. Some round-headed adapters can only fit into the central socket.

Located conveniently near the airport and at the terminal of 2 bus lines, this hotel is clean, comfortable and spacious. There are grocery stores nearby, and a bar and restaurant at the ground floor. The gym and the laundry room are must-haves for business travelers. The abundance of chairs and sofas on the ground floor are great for hanging out and entertaining visitors.

This one is hard to rate. Before booking, I contacted Ctrip to confirm if the suite could accommodate two children, and they said yes. However, upon check-in, they absolutely refused and insisted I book another room. Even before the new booking was confirmed, they only allowed three people upstairs, forcing the fourth person to wait at the front desk until the confirmation process was complete. Additionally, the room was very small and noisy, aside from being close to the airport. The picture shows a city view.

The hotel's location is truly unbeatable. It's just a 15-minute drive from the airport, directly across from a Coop supermarket, and right next to a light rail station, making getting around incredibly convenient. They even thoughtfully provide a Swiss transport card, which saves a lot on sightseeing around the city. The room was clean and comfortable, and despite facing the main street, the window insulation was excellent, ensuring a great night's sleep. The downsides are that the elevator is a bit narrow, so with large luggage, you can probably only fit two people. Also, to get to the elevators on the first floor from the check-in lobby on the ground floor, you have to go up a few stairs, meaning you have to carry your luggage yourself, which is a peculiar design. Furthermore, with many guests, rooms aren't available until 3 PM, so if you arrive early, you'll have to wait in the lobby. Breakfast is classic European style; there aren't many hot dishes, but the cold cuts selection is abundant, including smoked salmon and air-dried beef. They even offer strawberries and kiwi for fruit, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, it's a good place.

The hotel is right next to the train station, just a 100-200 meter walk away. The front desk kindly allowed me to check in early, which I really appreciated. I booked a single room, and it was actually a bit larger than I expected. The room had air conditioning; even though it was an older model, it worked, which was a lifesaver in the hot European weather. The bed was a little soft, but the bedding was comfortable. Luggage storage is also available.

The hotel boasts an excellent location with spacious and tidy rooms, complete facilities, comfortable bedding, and good soundproofing. The front desk staff are warm and attentive, and the breakfast offers a rich variety. It's great value for money, making it an excellent choice for both business trips and leisure travel. Definitely worth staying again.

Swiss hotels are relatively expensive due to limited space, but this time, because my trip was longer, I booked a slightly larger double room with a view of the Jet d'Eau. From my room, I could see the fountain and the beautiful old buildings in the surrounding square. The room had three windows, which were very bright when open. My room also had a small luggage compartment. The hotel was very clean, and there was bus number 10 nearby that goes directly to and from the airport. However, you need to bring your own basic toiletries as they are not provided. It's a short walk from the city center, but not too far. There's a Burger King nearby, but for something better, you need to go to the train station where there's a Chinese restaurant; the food is decent. The hotel floors are wooden, which felt cleaner than carpet. Considering the high cost of living in Switzerland, this hotel is quite good value and worth recommending.

As a business hotel with the bare minimum, bed and shower, and convenience of being close to the airport, it's ok. The breakfast buffet at CHF32 was very good. Geneva is an expensive city per se. This week, I think there were fairs/events in the city crowding the hotels and bringing the prices up. Things to complain about: the shower doesn't have a door, so the bathroom gets all wet. There are no amenities like courtesy slippers, toothbrushes, and toothpaste (Yeah, save the planet...) And the shower mixer gives you 3 choices: cold, hot, and cold-hot-cold-hot... So, showering is a challenge. Think of these ”chain/brand” hotels as that is what you get to make their EPS go up and please their shareholders. There is nothing to do with hospitality.

I spent two days at this hotel. I liked the location near the lake,the interesting design,and the delicious,varied breakfasts. The only thing that slightly detracted from my experience was the check in process: no one helped me with my luggage,and I am young petite woman. I had to carry my luggage to my room myself,and this was the first time I encountered such a situation in 27 countries. Overall ,everything was excellent,but I would have preferred a more attentive staff. I highly recommend this hotel.

As the name East West suggests, there were a lot of decorations and interiors that seemed to be a mixture of Asian cultures, so it felt a bit familiar. The room was neither big nor small, but it had everything I needed, and it wasn't too great, but I didn't feel particularly uncomfortable using it. It was really close to Lake Leman, so it was a short walk, and I was satisfied with the location. The front desk staff were really kind, greeted me well, and everyone greeted me with a smile, which was nice.
