"The hotel's location is great, situated in the Old Town's accommodation area. The facilities are brand new, and you can even order takeout directly to the hotel. Plus, there's a scooter rental right next door, which is super convenient. The front desk staff was fantastic; a young lady personally escorted me to my room, and her service attitude was excellent. They even gave me a small souvenir when I checked out, which I really appreciate. The only minor drawback is that the soundproofing isn't the best; you can hear conversations in the hallway quite clearly."

The hotel's also near Fangte amusement park and the high-speed rail station, and getting to Datong Ancient City is easy. For places like the Hanging Temple, Yingxian Wooden Pagoda, and Yungang Grottoes, you can arrange a car service directly from the hotel, which is super handy. This hotel is absolutely great value for money! I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Datong. Trust me on this one – I'll definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Datong."

"The environment and design of Wantoo B&B are warm and comfortable, and the coffee shop in the courtyard has a very romantic ambiance. The rooms are clean and cozy, and the breakfast is well-balanced. The owner, who prepares breakfast, mentioned that the breakfast menu changes daily, but unfortunately, we only stayed for two days, and indeed, the breakfasts were different on both days. The front desk lady had an excellent service attitude. Since there aren't many supermarkets in the old town, it's hard to find fruit, but she kindly gave us apples and pears. The B&B offers free bicycles and tricycles, and spending a day cycling freely around the old town was truly delightful. It was a genuinely great experience."

"Meijing Heyang Hotel is conveniently located right next to Datong Ancient City, just a 6-7 minute walk away. The hotel's facilities are comprehensive and clean, and the rooms are quiet, exactly as described. The staff, from the front desk receptionists and restaurant servers to the housekeeping team, are all friendly and provide excellent service. The lady at the front desk even gave us a free room upgrade, and their recommendations for local food were truly outstanding. Meijing Heyang Hotel offers great value for money and is highly recommended!"

"Full score stay experience, I highly recommend friends who come to Datong to choose this one! ✨ The hotel is a new store, the overall environment is brand new and bright, the decoration is simple and high-end, and it is very comfortable as soon as it comes in. The room was clean to impeccable, spotless, the bedding was soft and skin-friendly, and the sleep was particularly stable. There was no smell of the new store at all, and there was a faint fragrance. The location is absolutely perfect, super close to Huayan Temple, walking distance to the core area of the ancient city, super convenient to visit attractions. Breakfast must be praised! The variety is rich, both Chinese and Western, and Datong local characteristics. Freshly cooked noodles, hot dishes, fruits, desserts are all delicious, the taste is online, and the food is super satisfying. "The staff were so so friendly and super nice!!! Told them it was our honeymoon and there was a handwritten note with fruits and snacks waiting for us on the table. They didn't have to, but they did ☺️ when we left, we were rushing for the train and didn't have time to eat breakfast. The staff were so concerned we were skipping breakfast she quickly packed some food for us to go and even ran after us to pass us cutlery because she forgot to pack some. Would recommend staying here 10/10!"

"Newly opened hotel, there are mineral water stations on each floor to spare this is very good 👍. There is a laundry room and a very quiet spa on the second floor. The room is very spacious, the facilities and bathroom equipment are very new, the mattress is very comfortable, there are many foods around (recommended to the east noodles just a few steps away), cycling to the ancient city Wuding Gate is very close, go to the official scenic spot directly to the bus station ~ one kilometer ride for 6 minutes, Datong taxi is super cheap 7 yuan 3 kilometers. The front desk lady is very enthusiastic to recommend local food and travel guidelines, as well as holiday gifts, highly recommended cost-effective 👍"

I'd say it's an international chain hotel with great value for money in Datong. The location is excellent, about a 10-minute drive from the high-speed rail station and 20 minutes by taxi to the ancient city, making transportation very convenient. The hotel offers a dedicated shuttle service, a value-added perk that's hard to find at most hotels. When I arrived, it was a Toyota business van, and for my return trip to the station, it was a Toyota urban SUV – a fantastic experience! The hotel's exterior design is pleasing to the eye. I believe both the architectural style and the choice of interior decorative materials and color scheme are top-notch. It's not extravagant, but its understated elegance can impress guests from all walks of life. The lobby is tall and spacious, with elegant and refined colors, giving it a beautiful and grand feel. The front desk staff were very friendly. My room was arranged on the 12th floor in a prime location. The room layout was simple and bright, and the decor maintained the InterContinental Hotels Group's consistent style of understated luxury. The bedding was just the right firmness, and everything was clean and comfortable. The drinking water supply also met guests' needs. Breakfast was excellent; in addition to the usual Western pastries, it really highlighted local Datong specialties like authentic knife-cut noodles and lamb offal soup, which were highly praised by diners. Overall, I was very satisfied with the dining, accommodation, transportation, and comprehensive service during this trip. I look forward to choosing this hotel again if I have the chance to return."
