"I've always had a good impression of Mercure; it's one of my go-to brands when traveling. This booking, however, left me a little disappointed, though I know it's not the hotel's fault. Still, as a review, I need to be truthful. **Hygiene:** The cleanliness was, as always, excellent. No complaints there. **Facilities:** My main disappointment with this Mercure was the parking. They have a ground-level parking lot, but spaces are very limited, making it almost impossible to find a spot. There's also a multi-story car park, but larger vehicles shouldn't even bother. Our car happened to be a six-seater, so we had to park in an adjacent lot. Fortunately, the hotel was proactive in resolving it and reimbursed our parking fee. It would have been even better if they had proactively informed us about parking options when we called the front desk. For out-of-towners like us, finding parking can be a real headache 😣. **Service:** The front desk staff were also very enthusiastic and helpful. They offered a small gift upon departure and eagerly asked if we needed breakfast. I must highly praise Mercure's breakfast – it was exceptionally good and excellent. Please keep it up! **Environment:** The hotel shares a building with other properties, so there's a wider variety of people coming and going. However, access to floors is restricted by key card, so it's acceptable. The hotel is very close to Kuanzhai Alley, which is a big plus!"

The hotel breakfast was also pretty good, offering knife-cut noodles, lamb offal soup, two types of fruit, some hot dishes, pastries, salad, and milk. The only downside is that they charge for children, whereas some hotels let kids in for free. The location is right by the main road, and there's parking available in the back, along with charging stations, which is great for electric vehicles."

They also provided detailed answers to my questions about local transportation and even kindly helped me arrange a car. Housekeeping was diligent, ensuring my room was spotless daily and amenities were promptly replenished. When I needed something extra, a quick call to the front desk had a staff member delivering it to my room very quickly. The breakfast service was equally impressive, with food constantly refilled. I particularly enjoyed the local shaomai (steamed dumplings) and Mongolian milk tea. The dining staff were proactive in clearing tables and keeping the area tidy. The hotel's laundry and fitness facilities were excellent, and all staff members greeted guests genuinely and warmly, without being superficial. When I requested a late check-out due to my travel schedule, the hotel flexibly accommodated my request, which was greatly appreciated. The entire hotel, from management to frontline staff, demonstrated a strong commitment to service excellence, going beyond standard pleasantries to provide a truly warm experience. It's an ideal choice for both business trips and short getaways. I'll definitely prioritize booking here again on my next visit to Hohhot."

"I had been staying at Hampton Inn throughout this trip, but then I saw this hotel and decided to give it a try. It exceeded my expectations by far! It's a newly opened hotel, but there was no strange smell in the room at all. The facilities are brand new, and the large floor-to-ceiling windows are fantastic 👍. The staff were also very polite. Manager Li, who was on duty that night, was incredibly professional and clearly answered all my questions about charging facilities and other needs. The main highlight, however, was the breakfast, breakfast, breakfast! It was absolutely superb! Usually, when I go to a hotel, I only have soy milk and fried dough sticks, but this time I tried many local breakfast specialties, and they were excellent! Highly, highly recommend!!"

When checking out, they even offered me warm water and escorted me to the elevator, which was a really heartwarming gesture. For the price, it's not expensive, and the service quality is superb!
