The hotel staff were very helpful; they proactively arranged for my two booked rooms to be next to each other. Once, I forgot to get a parking voucher when I went out for breakfast and was overcharged for parking, but they later helped me get a refund. Overall, I'm very satisfied."

"I brought relatives from Northwest China to Qiandao Lake. The journey was filled with rain and mist, a truly enchanting experience. Trusting the Kaiyuan brand, we chose the Kaiyuan Yiju Hotel in the prime central lake area. It's conveniently located with food stalls across the street and a fish market to the north. The hotel contacted us in advance with check-in information and even upgraded us to a lake-view room. While the hotel facilities were a bit old, they were very well maintained. There was even a clothes rack on the balcony. A public bicycle station is right across from the hotel, similar to the system in Hangzhou, offering an extra three hours of free use. We could easily cycle around the lake in the morning."

"We travel frequently and almost always stay at Atour hotels because of their comfortable bedding and friendly service, but this particular one left me speechless. There were four of us: my husband, myself, a nearly 70-year-old senior, and a 6-year-old child. So, I booked two executive king rooms. Since the child and the senior are used to sleeping together, they shared one room. When I booked, I specifically requested rooms far from the elevator and not corner rooms. I also asked for the two rooms to be close to each other so we could easily look after them. After booking, I even called the hotel to reiterate this to the front desk. The hotel's cold response was that they would try to arrange it but couldn't guarantee it, which I understood at the time. However, upon check-in, we found that one room was right off the elevator, and the other was in the very last corner, at least five or six rooms and a corner away. The breakfast was also the worst value for money I've ever had at an Atour. Is it because Zhejiang prices are high? The front desk staff provided standard, polite, but cold service – very robotic. I didn't see a single person offering service with a smile. Maybe you should try staying at other Atour hotels to see the difference?"

"The combination of a swimming pool and hot spring is definitely top-notch among guesthouses. The hot spring on the second floor is open year-round. The rooms are simply furnished but have everything you need, and the price is very reasonable. The guesthouse is located in Yanzhou Ancient City, so you can stroll around and enjoy the night view of the ancient city."

"Traveling to Yanzhou Ancient Town with the kids, the hotel's location was excellent. Right outside the door is the entrance to the ancient town, with snacks and performances readily available. A short walk takes you to the ancient city wall, which offers great views, and from the top, you can overlook the entire ancient town. The room was clean and hygienic, a duplex with a tatami mat. The downside: very poor soundproofing! Service: A lady named Ms. He was incredibly nice. She helped us retrieve our lost sunglasses and even mailed them back to us. Much appreciated!"

"🐶 Zhejiang's 'Good Stays' | A five-hour journey to a private mountain dream at Yunman Songjian in Jiande! To find a place where my 14-year-old dog, Afu, who walks slowly, could run around freely and enjoy warm sunshine, I searched countless 'Jiangsu-Zhejiang pet-friendly B&Bs' online. Ultimately, Yunman Songjian Hot Spring B&B in Jiande successfully caught my eye. With a hint of apprehension (after all, I've seen too many 'photo hoaxes' online), we drove nearly five hours from Shanghai to Jiande. As we finally navigated the winding mountain roads, the scenery before us suddenly opened up, and I knew this trip was worth it! We stayed in a private hot spring courtyard room for four nights. The entire B&B only has 15 rooms, each uniquely designed and breathtakingly beautiful. Beyond the stunning environment, what truly surprised us was the service: the B&B's staff were attentive and enthusiastic, and every detail was meticulously handled, making us feel right at home. Life at Yunman Songjian was simply divine: **Panoramic Views**: One morning, I hiked for half an hour to the highest point. It was the first time I truly saw the endless, vast expanse of surrounding mountains stretching as far as the eye could see. My heart immediately felt expansive. **A Feast for the Palate**: Every day, we enjoyed fresh vegetables picked by the aunties from their garden and delicious homemade cured meats – simple yet incredibly satisfying. **Mind and Body Relaxation**: During the day, Afu and I relaxed in the sun, taking photos that garnered countless likes on social media. In the evenings, we soaked away our fatigue in the warm private hot spring. During a casual chat, one of the B&B's staff shared a secret: in March, the ten-mile cherry blossoms here bloom, and the scenery is incredibly beautiful! This made me eagerly anticipate another visit. This wonderful week not only brought a flood of positive comments to my social media, but my old Afu also happily ate, drank, and sunbathed with me every day, with his happiness index off the charts! On our way back, the B&B thoughtfully gave me a large bag of freshly picked vegetables, along with their homemade red wine and pickles as souvenirs. This was truly an amazing week-long vacation experience. Jiande Yunman Songjian, I look forward to meeting you again!"

"Loved our family room—amazing lake and island views, quiet, with a great balcony. Big towels, clean bedding, and a fridge were nice touches. The lakeside dock, restaurant and picnic areas were perfect for swimming, eating and relaxing. Downsides: The pool (filled with cloudy slimy lake water) and its rundown messy area weren’t appealing. Hallway carpets and elevator had mold, needing deep cleaning. Still, great value for the location. Don’t really need the pool with the lake so close. We’d return but hope they address the maintenance issues."

"This trip to Meicheng Ancient Town in Jiande was a real gem! Yunqi Courtyard is located in the heart of Yanzhou Ancient City, right next to the ancient cobblestone street, making it incredibly convenient for shopping and dining. The guesthouse is converted from an old house (a Qing Dynasty money exchange), preserving the charm of Jiangnan with its courtyard and blue brick walls, while the interior facilities are very modern, featuring smart toilets and five-star hotel-style bedding – a perfect blend of old and new. The service deserves special praise; the butler was warm and attentive, even offering complimentary Hanfu (traditional Han clothing) changing and DIY lacquer fan making. Taking photos in the courtyard in Hanfu felt like stepping back into the Song Dynasty. The biggest surprise was the ”Meicheng Old Dream” script-based role-playing game park – you receive a task pack upon check-in, unlocking the storyline while exploring the ancient town – so much more fun than a simple tour! The rooms have tatami tea rooms, perfect for brewing tea and gazing at Wulong Mountain. Although the old building lacks an elevator, the butler proactively helped with luggage, providing excellent service. For those who love traditional Chinese style and cultural experiences, this is a must-visit! My WeChat Moments are flooded with questions about it!"

"I specifically chose the Brettonwood Resort for my trip to Qiandao Lake this time, and the overall stay exceeded my expectations – it was absolutely fantastic! The resort grounds are serene and elegant, with lush greenery and even a petting zoo. The kids absolutely loved feeding the peacocks, ducks, bunnies, foxes, raccoons, and piglets. It's also very pet-friendly. The breakfast buffet offered a rich variety, especially the noodle and vermicelli station with a wide selection of condiments. They even had homemade chili and ginger, which was a real treat for spice lovers. Parking for self-drivers is convenient, and it's particularly well-suited for family vacations. This will be my top choice for Qiandao Lake; I'll definitely be back!"
