Baron YeungZen Garden is located in Dinghu District, Zhaoqing, about a 35-minute drive from Seven Star Crags. Gaode Maps navigation will accurately guide you to the destination. There is indoor parking available next to the Zen Garden.
The entire Zen Garden is converted from an old school building, covering a large area, and the grounds are neat and clean.
I booked a four-person room, which had four large mattresses and a unique feel, making me feel like I was in a mountain hut in Tibet. These were the two most restful and comfortable nights I've slept in recently.
The room was fully equipped, and the toiletries were of very high quality.
The vegetarian restaurant inside the Zen Garden has a beautiful ambiance, and the vegetarian breakfast was very plentiful. The porridge and fried noodles were delicious, and the whole-grain sweet potatoes and corn left me feeling very energized! The soup noodles on the dinner menu were also very tasty, with a delicious broth!
It's worth mentioning that Zen Garden has two friendly dogs and several cats, all benevolent ambassadors, and the children loved interacting with them.
The staff's warm smiles, gentle demeanor, and timely assistance made the experience truly delightful.
If you enjoy meditation, tranquility, vegetarian food, or a rejuvenating family retreat, this is a Zen retreat well worth experiencing.

Charles1011This is the best hotel I have stayed in. I cannot speak Chinese, however this was not an issue at all, thanks to the amazing staff at this hotel. The hotel is exceptionally clean and modern, the bed was very comfortable, all the furnishings were brand new and the shower was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Huaiji.

Guest UserPros: The hotel boasts an excellent location, right across the street from Paifang Square. A short walk to the left after crossing the road will take you to Xiti Street, perfect for exploring the night market. If you're heading to Seven Star Crags, you can take a cruise to the South Gate, and the hotel front desk offers exclusive discounts. Other attractions like Qilou Street and the city wall are about a 25-minute walk away. Transportation is also very convenient; it's a maximum 15-minute taxi ride from Zhaoqing Intercity Railway Station. For high-speed rail, you can transfer from Dinghu East to Zhaoqing East. The rooms are new, and the front desk staff are warm, polite, and proactively greet guests.
Areas for improvement: There's only one elevator, so there can be a bit of a wait during peak hours. Breakfast is quite basic, just enough to get by (there are plenty of dining options directly opposite and near the hotel if you want more).

Guest UserThe hotel reception is on the 4th floor. The breakfast offers a wide variety of choices. The room has a beautiful view of Xinghu Lake, and there's also a swimming pool on the east side, though I didn't get a chance to use it this time – I'll definitely come back to stay again. They also offer luggage storage after check-out, which is a great service. Recommended local specialties: Salted Duck, Special Lou Fen (mixed noodles), and Tofu Pudding.

ShenyangrenzaishenzhenAs a seasoned traveler, I felt compelled to write a review for this hotel. My thoughts are a bit subjective, but here they are:
1. The front desk lady on the night shift offered truly genuine service, not that fake overly-enthusiastic kind. It was a more refined level of service, definitely five-star and easily one of the best I've encountered.
2. The hotel is located in the suburbs, less than a 30-minute drive from the Seven Star Crags Scenic Area. The neighboring residential buildings aren't fully occupied, but there are some ground-floor convenience stores and breakfast spots. The surroundings are beautiful, with scenic mountains and clear waters. It felt very much like a motel, but much more upscale. However, it wouldn't be convenient to get here without a car.
3. The hotel facilities are very new, and the price is excellent. While the breakfast selection wasn't huge, the food was tasty, and there were no major complaints.
Perhaps it was the beautiful weather on the day of my stay, or maybe I was just in a great mood. Either way, it left a fantastic impression. I'm hoping to bring my family here for a few days this winter.

Guest UserThis isn't my first time staying here. I was in Zhaoqing for a few days, and spent the first two nights at another hotel with another family. From the outside, this hotel looks quite ordinary, but inside, it definitely lives up to its established reputation. It might not 'wow' you, but it feels welcoming and steady, imbued with the culture of Guangben (Guangzhou Honda), which I found very comforting. The breakfast isn't extensive, but the quality is good. As a local Cantonese, I highly recommend the fish and clam Shahe noodles, the Zhaoqing Zongzi, and the steamed rice rolls.

QianguarenshengDrove to the hotel, and my hopes for a smooth experience were fully met! It's a 10-minute drive to the Seven Star Crags parking lot. I went there around 9:30 PM one evening and was told by the security guard that the East, South, and West gates offer free access to certain areas at night. After doing some research, I still chose the North gate the next day. Just a short walk to the left after entering is the popular glass boat, but I opted for the right side, which is very close to the pier for the in-depth tour. I did all the activities, entering at 10 AM and leaving at 3 PM due to rain, totaling five hours – absolutely fantastic! The scenic area is very friendly to seniors and children, with not much walking involved!
