"The hotel is 5 mins walk from Susukino underground station and around 20-30 mins walk from Sapporo station. Breakfast was extensive and definitely the highlight for the stay with options like hotate and tuna sashimi as well as hokkaido crab legs! The room was small which was typical for Japanese hotels but clean and functional. There was also a public bath but was usually crowded. If you are staying at this hotel, definitely go for the breakfast!"

"I specifically booked a stay for one night first, and after feeling good about it, I decided to extend my reservation. However, after breakfast the next day, I rebooked for two more nights through Trip.com. When I was checking in for the extension, the staff wouldn't let me stay in my original room. I had to change rooms, and I immediately had a bad feeling about it. I was moved to a small, dirty room on the 3rd floor, right next to the elevator, which was very noisy. The main issue was that after being moved to a smaller room, the mattress also became terrible; it was severely saggy in the middle. My back hurt from sleeping on it. There was nothing I could do since I couldn't cancel, so I just had to grit my teeth and endure the two nights. I don't understand why, for the same price and the same room type, they wouldn't let me stay in my original room, or at least give me a room of the same standard. The room for these last two nights was clearly much worse than the first night's room. The first picture shows the room from the first night. The second picture is the small room on the 3rd floor that I was moved to."

"I made a mistake in my booking; this hotel is close to Central Park, but it's a few subway stops away from the JR station. Hokkaido really doesn't have many elevators, but luckily, it's close to the subway exit! Plus, there's a JR shuttle service available! There's a timetable at the entrance, and you just need to book in advance – it was a real lifesaver! It's also close to the soup curry restaurant shown in the picture, within walking distance, which was a pleasant stroll."

"The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Sapporo Station, and the Namboku Line subway station is just across the street. From there, you can either walk (about 15 minutes) or take one subway stop to reach the heart of Tanukikoji Shopping Arcade. The hotel's location experiences less foot traffic, making it very peaceful at night. The facilities are brand new, and the room is very spacious, with more than enough room to fully open two large suitcases. Each floor has a water dispenser and coin-operated washing machines, which is very convenient."

"The room was decent, just a bit on the small side. Everything inside was neat and clean. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to help us solve some practical issues, we're very grateful to them. Their breakfast was also great – refined, substantial, and tasty. With a wide variety of options each day, we had plenty to choose from. Since we stayed for four days, the breakfast was a convenient, delicious, and nutritious way to start our mornings, saving us the trouble of buying food at the supermarket outside."

"The rooms were very clean, the hotel felt new, and the service was excellent, though it was quite pricey. Each bed came with both a soft and a firm pillow, which was a nice touch. We were a group of 3 adults and 2 children, and booked two standard rooms. The Ctrip booking process was a bit confusing; it seemed to charge for 3 adults for what appeared to be a 2-adult-1-child setup. At check-in, the front desk confirmed our booking for three adults, but helpfully clarified that children under 5 dine for free. We were also assigned a triple room, which was a nice bonus, although I'm not sure if it was related to the initial pricing discrepancy or a standard hotel amenity. For those unsure about breakfast, a tip would be to book your stay without it and then pay for it directly at the hotel.
The hotel's public bath (onsen) and gym were both quite small. Breakfast quality was decent. During our two-day stay, we found the pastries to be quite exquisite. There was a live cooking station offering asparagus and cheese, as well as a delicate, made-to-order scallop dish. While beautifully presented, the scallop dish didn't particularly stand out in terms of flavor.
The hotel's location is excellent, right next to the JR station. Directly opposite the hotel is an Izakaya called 'Saki no Kura' which is very traditional, welcoming, and delicious, serving sashimi, grilled dishes, and a variety of seasonal specialties – definitely better than the options found in shopping malls. Hokkaido University is also just across the road, which was perfect for letting the kids run around.
Overall, aside from the price, everything else was fantastic."

"The hotel boasts a prime location right by Nakajima-Koen Subway Station, just a minute or two walk to the entrance. The lobby features a complimentary drink bar with a selection of juices, cocoa, and other beverages. While the hotel's front facade is currently undergoing renovations, thankfully, my room was allocated away from the work. My room was a standard, comfortable size and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was truly excellent! I'd previously stayed at a Vessel Garden Hotel a few days before, and the main distinction in their breakfast offerings was that the Vessel Garden provided snow crab legs, while this hotel featured delicious grilled Wagyu beef. The breakfast here is absolutely worth trying."

MMarsha MarshaIt was the first I stayed with the Mitsui hospitality group. I really enjoyed this location, especially since it was the first time I also visited Hokkaido island. The location was excellent since it was close to the train station and near the huge shopping mall. I would stay here again. I was most impressed by the environmental strategies the hotel implemented to reduce waste and carbon footprint. The repurposed teddy bear was the coolest greeter I’ve ever seen in any professional establishment! (Public bath was available, but didn’t have time to use it.)

Location: in the Jozankei Onsen town that’s about an hour + out of Sapporo. Honestly if you’re in a group, just book a cab out, it was about $80++ for 3 of us! Otherwise remember to book the Onsen bus shuttle early in advance 🥹
Area around Onsen is nothing much besides other Onsen houses, a small cafe and other smol tourist picture spots.
Back to the Ryokan: this was my first experience being in one and I’m so glad I chose this place! Mum and sister throughly enjoyed it as well, using our in room Onsen ( there’s 2!) and also the shared common Onsen with an outdoor facing the snow too ❄️☃️♨️
Service:The staff was extremely polite and efficient, seeing the reviews of them being rude was kinda uncalled for. They were nothing but kind and attentive. It is a very quiet and peaceful place , I understand the need for all guests to be maintain the atmosphere too.
Food: amazing, one of the best meals I’ve had in Japan so far ♥️ the pictures below speaks for itself 🥹 private dining room to enjoy the view too🏔️
Loved small touches too like the mikimoto soaps , Dyson hair dryers ( in the public Onsen) And the chopstick souvenirs 🥹

GGuest UserThe hotel's first-floor restaurant offers direct access to Tanuki Koji via a side door. Our room was arranged very comfortably, with plenty of disposable amenities readily available. We also received two bottles of good quality bottled water daily. The smart toilet was highly advanced, and even the hairdryer was a new Refa model, which was a pleasant surprise.
Daily towel changes, trash removal, and bed making were consistently performed – the service was more than sufficient. On the second floor, there's a complimentary pantry next to the public bath, accessible to all guests. This is a great feature, as some Japanese hotels tend to categorize guests or services. The self-service drink machine offered a wide selection, including free coffee, cocoa, and lemonade. It was very refreshing to have a drink after a relaxing bath, and you could also purchase milk and beer at reasonable prices.
The air conditioning was powerful, allowing us to sleep comfortably under the duvet without feeling hot.
Breakfast was decent. While the variety wasn't extensive, there was a good representation of different categories, which was satisfactory. My only comment would be that the sashimi didn't feel as fresh if you went later in the morning; it was perfect right at opening.
The staffing was well-thought-out, with Chinese and English-speaking front desk personnel, which effectively addressed a common concern for most international guests.
The public bath wasn't very large, but since it's not a hot spring hotel, I didn't have high expectations for the facilities. Overall, it was a good experience.

GGuest UserI stayed in Sapporo for a couple nights but I honestly I really loved my room. The check in is on the second floor with a REALLY nice lounge. There's also a rooftop bar. There's no tv in the room but there is a record player with a library of Vinyls on the second floor. All in all I absolutely loved this hotel

NNgDo not select this hotel if the price is above USD100 per night. The selling point is the location, very close to JR station and with a few restaurants nearby in 3-minute walk. There is no complimentary water provided in this room (queen size bed). I think nowadays this is quite mean.

MM252159****This hotel exceeded our expectations! The standard triple room was spacious and spotless, with top-notch hygiene and brand-new, functional facilities. The staff were warm, attentive, and very responsive. The location is super convenient, making it easy to explore and dine around. We had a fantastic experience and will definitely choose this place again on our next trip to Sapporo!

GGuest UserThis is a huge hotel catered mainly for tour groups. Restaurant is huge but hotel guests are many and gets crowded during meal time.
Hotel lobby is classy with a nice souvenir shop for the convenience of guests.
Rooms décor are dated and carpet has seen better days.
However toilet is new and clean.
Onsen is good.
Location is quite a walk to town but our rooms have nice views of the river and autumn colours.
