"This hotel is perfectly located on a block away from the main *****. You can hear the music carry over from nearby bars but that didn’t bother me, it’s expected in a location like this. Upon checking in they give you a tv remote and tell you not to move the thermostat. The AC was fixed to run all night and did not have an automatic feature, so it made for extremely cold nights. The reason I lowered the rating is the customer service. You are given only two towels and there was no hand towels at all. I tried calling the front desk but nobody answered the 6 times I called. I had to go down and grab one myself where I was asked to sign one out. No big deal. However, the following day housekeeping took this towel and never replaced it. I hope I don’t get charged for a small hand towel"

"Actually the price/performance ratio is average, but the hotel staff are so caring! ! The Mexican staff, who didn't speak English well, saw our couple stay in, and helped us arrange the room the next day during our outing. The flowers on the bed were picked fresh! ! Carefully help us occupy the parking space every day! Very simple! ! Super considerate of guests!"

"Very good hotel and location. All staff we dealt with were pleasant and friendly. The hotel is clean and well maintained, rooms were very nice. Be aware that the low priced rooms (at least mine) had a view of a wall. The rooftop pool was great, lots of places to sit and courteous staff. Close to 5th Ave and a short walk to the beaches. I'd stay again for sure."

"The hotel is very clean and in a convenient location. A shopping mall on the pedestrian street is just next to the hotel. I took an ADO bus to the Carmen Seaside from the Cancun Airport and walked to the hotel in about 10 minutes. It's 10 minutes' walk from the Walmart Supermarket."

"Property was developed in 2017 - but similar to other constructions in Mexico it was developed hastily and with poor materials. The wear and tear on the property, and lack of maintenance is noticeable. As for the plumbing situation, the stench of sewage came from the bathroom every night. When the neighbours showered, you could hear the water system very loudly. In general, it was more of a 3.5- 4 star hotel - definitely not 5."

"Location is good. It is close to 5th avenue and beach. I loved the resort and nature. It was lovely and cozy. But there were ants in bathroom and straw fell down because of palapa. There's no refrigerator in the room. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner. All of staffs are kind and friendly. Espacially Rogelio was really kind and pleasant. "

The customer service was truly amazing — we were even upgraded to a beautiful suite with an oceanfront view, which made a huge difference. The buffet was great with lots of options, and the staff throughout the hotel was consistently friendly and welcoming. However, a few things to note: there are very pushy salespeople around the property who are constantly trying to upsell timeshares and spa packages. It’s understandable, but it did get a little tiring at times. The hotel is directly on the beach, but the beachfront isn’t ideal for swimming since it’s very rocky and shallow. You need to walk about five minutes down to find a spot where you can comfortably swim. The overall vibe of the hotel is a bit outdated and cheesy — definitely a mixed crowd of younger people looking to party and older guests, giving it a bit of a “cruise ship” atmosphere. My husband and I had never done an all-inclusive before, and although we got an amazing deal, it’s probably not something we would repeat at this property. As for dining: • The buffet was solid — lots of choices, decent quality — I’d rate it a 7/10. • The two à la carte restaurants (that required reservations) were subpar, so we honestly preferred the buffet experience. • The sushi swim-up bar was a bit of a letdown; the sushi wasn’t great (but understandable given the location). Our only real disappointment was the hot tub — it was very tiny, difficult to find, far away from everything, and when we finally reached it on our last night, it was lukewarm and not fully functioning. Final thoughts: If you’re looking for a budget-friendly all-inclusive with great staff, decent food, and a nice view — this is a good choice. Just know it’s not super luxurious, and swimming directly in front of the hotel isn’t ideal. It’s located right in the heart of Playa where there are lots of partying going on, if you want that sort of scene. We’re glad we tried it, but we’ll probably explore other options and quieter locations next time."

"Very friendly staff. Great a la carte breakfast, lunch and dinner. The rooms are “Amazing”, very large and are cleaned several times a day, top service from maintenance staff. Simply an absolute must! Car required."

"I visited the El Dorado Maroma with my friend for a week in January 2023. Believe me, this is the best resort ever! I have stayed at many all-inclusive resorts in the Cancun/Riviera Maya area, and this resort outranks all others! The service is simply amazing, from the second you arrive until you have to leave. We absolutely loved Manuel at the beach, who greeted us each morning and walked out with us to help us find the perfect spot for the day. He didn’t just hand us our towels - he laid them out for us on the loungers or the bali bed chosen, then adjusted the umbrella so we could be in the shade, as we preferred. He then continued checking on us throughout the day and adjusting our umbrella as the sun moved. Talk about being pampered! He was wonderful! We also loved Little D (Diego) at the beach, who brought us drinks and made us smile - he seems so happy to be there! I can’t forget to mention the beach - it is the best beach of any resort I have stayed at! Clean, white sand, and so few people. That’s another great thing about this resort - no crowds!! It is small, quiet and relaxing. So peaceful! If you want a party resort, this is not it. It was perfect for us! Overall, you will not be sorry if you choose this resort!!! We loved it and will return again, hopefully soon, and hopefully with my hubby next time! I can’t wait to hear those wonderful friends tell me “Welcome Home”! "
