"The room was a bit dated. I'm not sure if the hotel was fully booked, but we were assigned a pool villa with a sea view that was somewhat obstructed compared to other room types. Our room was in the upper-level area, so the walk to the beach and back was quite long. It was so tiring that we didn't even want to leave the room for a second round! Overall, the experience was a bit disappointing. Fortunately, the room itself was comfortable and clean. My kids had a great time playing in the pool and on the beach. However, the hotel's cliffside restaurant was also a letdown. While the scenery was superb for photos, the food quality was truly mediocre. In particular, the signature lobster was a real miss – it was bland and the shrimp meat was overcooked. The taste was very disappointing, and the price was a bit high, making it not worth recommending. On the positive side, the hotel breakfast was decent, and the in-room dining experience was also very good. How should I put it? These 'influencer-hyped' hotels aren't for long stays; it's fine to experience them once, as long as you manage your expectations for any potential letdowns!"

"Pleasant. We arrived late at night..there was no front desk at 12+ midnight..we didn't call up earlier to advise our late arrival too.. a room key a flash light and a simple note placed on front desk is surprisingly more than enough to make us felt welcomed and thought for. thumbs up.. The place is beautiful and calming...Simple breakfast was served and all is good..Would definitely return.."

"We stayed 5 nights at Akira Lipe Resort and 3 nights at Mali Sunrise Beach Resort. Although Mali Resort was more expensive, overall Akira Resort was much better in almost every aspect. In terms of cleanliness, swimming pool condition, facilities, and staff friendliness, I honestly don’t understand why Mali charges a higher price. Sunrise Beach itself was beautiful, and we appreciated the complimentary kayak rental. Breakfast was also very good. However, there were some serious issues. The bedding was not properly maintained — while the outer cover looked clean, the inner duvet was yellowed and visibly stained underneath. Most concerning was the swimming pool. The pool water was visibly dirty even to the naked eye. After spending a long time swimming, both my husband and my child developed skin rashes and suffered from severe stomach problems. They had been swimming, diving, and accidentally swallowing some pool water. I did not swim at all, and I was completely fine, while both of them experienced the same symptoms. This strongly suggests that the pool hygiene needs urgent improvement. I visited in early February during peak season. Pattaya Beach, where Akira Resort is located, was calm, wave-free, and much more enjoyable for swimming and relaxing. Sunrise Beach, although beautiful, had very strong waves, making it less suitable for playing in the water. That said, kayaking to the small island directly in front of the resort for snorkeling was an amazing experience. This is definitely one of Mali Resort’s biggest advantages. Some of the restaurant staff were warm and kind, but most of the staff, including those at reception, appeared tired and expressionless. Overall, I personally do not think this resort offers good value for the price and would not recommend it. For the same budget, I would strongly suggest staying at Akira instead."

"This hotel is just 200 meters from Pattaya Beach Pier, a bit quieter than The Ananya. Walking Street is also very close if you walk along the beach. The breakfast was decent, and the Thai milk tea was delicious. The service was good too; they helped us with our luggage and took us to the boat, which seems to be standard for island hotels – something Koh Lipe does better than Koh Samet. We went during the low season, so the prices were cheaper, and there were fewer people. The pool was practically empty. You have to pay to use the hotel's kayaks, whereas the one at The Plantation was free for two days, though the kayaks there weren't as good as Akira's. The room was large and quiet, and the 2-meter bed was very comfortable. I recommend this place."

"This is a very famous sunset hotel with beautiful sea views. I was pleasantly surprised to find the bathtub downstairs, which I didn't discover until the second day. Soaking in the tub while enjoying the sea view was absolutely delightful! The hotel's food is quite tasty, especially dinner, where you can also watch the sunset – it's stunning. The staff speak a little Chinese, are enthusiastic, and have a great attitude. The beach is private to the hotel; the sand is a bit coarse, but it doesn't detract from enjoying the sea views or kayaking. It was excellent, and I'll definitely come back again!"

"I had an amazing stay . The atmosphere was peaceful, clean, and comfortable.. The hosts were incredibly friendly and provided excellent hospitality. The location was strategic, with easy access to nearby attractions. The facilities were complete, the rooms were spacious, and everything was well-maintained. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a cozy and authentic stay in Satun!"

"I really enjoyed our stay jt was low season so nice and quiet but still a good atmosphere. Rooms were comfortable, we booked two but could have managed with one room with a 9 and 12 year old. Everything worked , the internet was decent. Gardens and greenery lovely spot. Breakfast was fairly standard for this type of accommodation. Nice fresh fruit eggs, bacon, pancakes , waffles and Asian options, eaten with a nice view of the sea. Location at end of beach but close to walking street. We tended to walk to North point and get a taxi scooter back for 50b. Food on island was good. Coffee from tugboat needs a mention. Island overall is beautiful and has a really nice vibe at present hopefully it doesn't get over developed. North point is a lovely area which still has it's natural beauty."

"Loved it! 🥰🥰🥰 This stay completely exceeded my expectations. Each room is a small, standalone bungalow, and the hotel's beach is absolutely beautiful. The staff provides shuttle service to and from the pier. 🥰🥰 The rooms are very clean, and it's a short walk along the beach to both the pier and the walking street. For places further out, the staff will help you call a tuk-tuk. There are almost no downsides. I honestly didn't have high hopes before arriving, so I was completely surprised that a 500-yuan hotel could be this good! The only issue is that the service attitude isn't great, and the front desk staff seemed to judge people. "

Pros: The staff are the loveliest people on Planet Earth No loud music at any time, very quiet Sensational food and service, very smiley staff ready to help with anything Private beach is a real bonus The setting is fabulous. Among the rainforest and with the sound of the sea rocking you to sleep Epic sunsets Great breakfasts Cons (being really picky): The air con unit in our room was a bit loud The pool in our room (honeymoon villa) was a little bit smaller than I expected The decor could be updated We’ll be coming back here time and time again for sure. "Was a bit far from the main area, and the hotel provided only one shuttle per day. We actually booked a room with a different design and got a completely different room. When we asked to see the other rooms, they showed us rooms with the same design as the first, instead of just saying they renovated the room. We didn’t get any compensation for this inconvenience. Some of the buildings needed renovations. The whole floor around our room was super dirty and disgusting. A lot of stairs in the hotel if you want to go down to the beach and restaurant area. Also was pretty expensive and was not worth the price in my opinion. Pros - very nice breakfast. Gorgeous beach area. Nice staff. Clean room."
