Located in the heart of Changsha's city center at the T2 tower of IFS Changsha , Maqo Changsha features many well-designed guestrooms and suites, a restaurant, a bar, a shared workspace and a fitness room. With the brand philosophy of ‘not best, only better’ and the core concept of a ‘surprise fusion with art’ , the hotel provides guests with unique art and cultural experiences, fine wines, popular and trendy music programmed, as well as events and activities centered on the theme of physical and mental well-being, health and wellness, etc. The aim is to energies and inspire guests with services and surprises that exceed expectations, and to create unique and creative experiences for travelers.

"The room was great, and the front desk service was excellent. We arrived in the morning and wanted to store our luggage, but the front desk staff went above and beyond and helped us check in early. However, the 'couples afternoon tea' was a bit awkward. It was advertised as afternoon tea for two, but it only included one coffee/tea and three desserts. Three desserts are fine, but it's pretty strange to only offer one drink for two people. Hard to rate that part. Other services were very good; room service was prompt, and the doorman always helped with luggage. Sometimes the door wasn't opened for us, but that's understandable. Overall, it was a smooth and friendly experience."

"1️⃣ **Room:** First, the room on a high floor offered a fantastic panoramic view, especially stunning at night. Enjoying a glass of red wine or sparkling water while watching the bustling city below felt incredibly peaceful. Second, the room layout was excellent, with a separate bathroom and toilet, both with their own doors, and no unpleasant odors. Third, the bed was very soft, and the duvet was plush, breathable, and not stuffy. Fourth, despite having a large carpet, it was immaculately maintained and clean. Fifth, the soundproofing was effective, and outside noise didn't disturb my sleep 💤. 2️⃣ **Service:** Every staff member I encountered was friendly,主动 greeting guests with a smile. They were also enthusiastic and soft-spoken when answering questions, which was very pleasant. What left the deepest impression were the ladies at the front desk. Whether checking in or checking out, they were patient and professional, even offering well wishes for a pleasant stay. I'd definitely choose to return, haha. The most heartwarming was the young lady from ”IFC” (International Finance Centre). Her attentiveness and kind service attitude, as well as her foresight in considering my needs, significantly enhanced my positive impression of this stay. She deserves high praise 👍. 3️⃣ **Environment:** The hotel smelled lovely from the moment you entered, and the glass was sparkling clean, showing their attention to detail. 4️⃣ **Location:** Getting to all the famous attractions was incredibly convenient. Truly convenient. 5️⃣ **Food:** The vegetables and fruits were fresh, and there was a wide variety for breakfast. The desserts, in particular, were delicious 😋. My family and I stayed in two rooms this time, and we were all very happy and satisfied. We'd also like to thank all the staff who helped and served us. Wishing us all the best, 10-star recommendation! 👍👍👍"

"Service: The service attitude is excellent, they're always responsive to requests. Messages to their WeChat customer service were answered instantly, especially by Wendy and Clara. All staff members were very polite. There were two thoughtful details: a handwritten welcome card from the housekeeping staff, and on the second day, they replenished more drinking water after noticing our high consumption. Also, staff and concierges would avoid sharing an elevator with guests. Ambiance: The lobbies on the first and sixth floors have a nightclub-esque style, with space and astronaut elements everywhere. The outdoor balcony on the sixth floor in the evening was very comfortable; enjoying the sunset with a gentle breeze and a 'Cha Yan Yue Se' drink was incredibly pleasant. Transportation: Although the location isn't ideal for popular attractions (takes a bit longer to get there), transportation is convenient. There's a metro Line 2 station downstairs on Changsha Avenue, and taxis are readily available. It's only two metro stops from Changsha South Station. Facilities: Compared to similarly-rated hotels in Guangdong, the room size is a bit smaller, but the layout is well-designed. Upon entering, there's a wardrobe acting as a buffer, so you don't see the bed directly. The corner by the entrance is perfect for luggage, and the toilet and shower are separated on opposite sides. The soft amenities are also great: Dyson hairdryer, Nespresso coffee machine, and a wide variety of drinks in the fridge, including beer, carbonated drinks, and local Changsha specialties. Cleanliness: The cleanliness was excellent, and there were no odors in the restroom. Breakfast Service Extended until 2 PM: This is a rare service for many hotels. No need to rush to eat breakfast early, definitely a thumbs-up! Plus, they switch to lunch at 12 PM, so even late risers don't have to worry about going to the restaurant at 11 or 12 and finding nothing to eat. Bar: There are different live singers every night, creating a nice atmosphere. Bartender Zhang Yang provided attentive service; I felt my 'Changsha County Chronicles' cocktail was too sweet, so he remixed a new one according to my taste."

From my room, I could take in Orange Isle and Yuelu Mountain, watch the sunset paint the river gold in the evening, and marvel at the dazzling lights along both banks at night – the night view from Fuyuan Road Bridge was breathtaking! Plus, the hotel has direct access to the Beichenhui shopping mall on the first floor, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient, even on a rainy day. 🛏️Room Comfort: The rooms start at 40 sqm, spacious and bright. The soundproofing in the room is excellent, ensuring a very quiet stay. 🍽️Exceptional Dining: The breakfast at the All-Day Dining restaurant offers a super rich variety. You absolutely must try a bowl of freshly made Changsha rice noodles, complete with chopped chili, pickled long beans, and various toppings – truly authentic local flavor! There's a dedicated person managing the coffee machine, keeping things smooth even during busy periods. The Hunan cuisine at the Xiangxiu Chinese Restaurant on the first floor is also very authentic; you can savor the taste of Changsha without even leaving the hotel. 💁Impeccable Service: From the front desk to room service, every staff member was warm, professional, and always ready to help. The hotel pool water is very clean, and the gym is well-equipped. The hotel opens right onto the riverbank, making a stroll along the river in the morning or evening a wonderfully refreshing experience. In summary, the InterContinental Changsha North Star excels in river views, brand service, and dining quality. Whether for a business trip or a leisure vacation, it's the top choice in Changsha. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"

6500 Chaozong Street Hotel(Wuyi Square)

For this trip to Changsha, I chose two hotels with completely different styles. One was a high-rise with a storm SPA experience and hot stone sauna, and the other was this 6500·Chaozong Street B&B, located in Chaozong Ancient Street. The experience here was simply unbeatable, truly the highlight of my Changsha trip. The excellent experience started even before we arrived. The hotel is about 20 meters inside Chaozong Ancient Street, so cars can't drive in. Our little butler was already waiting at the entrance of the ancient street, helped us with our luggage after we got out of the car, poured iced water, checked us in, and escorted us to our room. There's a special little Rubik's Cube by the bed; my child solved it and exchanged it for a cup of Tea Yan Yue Se. My favorable impression instantly soared. Then my child happily went to do handicrafts, and I joyfully went to take photos. The travel photography service was also superb; the guide was patient throughout, with no extra charges. After the shoot, I received over 200 raw photos and 9 retouched ones. I recall having to spend an extra thousand yuan for travel photography at the Anmo Hotel in Yinchuan. My child made a Song brocade wind chimes and quietly told me they wanted to make something else. The little butler overheard and readily allowed them to make another herbal painting. My child was absolutely thrilled. After they finished, the little butler took care of drying and framing it. An artwork, complete! ✅ After all the activities, we started enjoying afternoon tea. The desserts weren't too sweet, and the coffee was delicious. Afterwards, we could head out to explore. Upon returning, I found that the little butler had thoughtfully arranged a tatami mat and even provided a late-night snack. I ordered congee and soup, which were very comforting, and then had a wonderful night's sleep. Breakfast could be delivered to the room or eaten in the lobby. Everything was freshly made, nutritionally balanced, a blend of Chinese and Western styles, and delicious. There was a minor hiccup when checking out and taking a taxi to the South Station. I muttered that I had originally planned to have lunch at the South Station. The little butler heard me and quickly went to the kitchen to pack some food for me. I was stunned, such thoughtful service! I was so touched. So, who is this beautiful, kind, universally adored, and charming little butler? I must mention her name: it's Miss Meiling! A hundred thumbs up!

The design of both the rooms and the hotel's common areas is excellent, truly living up to its reputation as one of the top 50 boutique guesthouses. The hotel amenities, particularly the Le Labo toiletries, are very comfortable, as is the bedding. But the absolute best part is the pajamas – incredibly comfortable to wear. The staff are all very warm and efficient. We even received a voucher for drinks at the teahouse upon check-in. I'd recommend booking a suite, as the standard rooms are a bit small. The courtyard is also perfect for photos in the evening.

My husband and I came to Changsha for a vacation. The first two days we stayed near Wuyi Square, which was incredibly noisy. The following two days at Xiangjiang Hotel were a completely different and wonderful experience, let me tell you all about it. First, the room layout. At a spacious 40 square meters, it was incredibly comfortable. There was lush greenery outside the window, and the room even had a bathtub. The little details were what really charmed me. The slippers had a delicate floral pattern, very elegant. The fridge had snacks and drinks, and the bathroom provided disposable toilet seat covers, mouthwash, and makeup remover wipes – so thoughtful! I didn't have high expectations for breakfast at first, but it ended up being a pleasant surprise. They offer four set meals, along with a self-service selection of fruits. There was even stinky tofu and perilla peach, local specialties that allowed us to try new flavors without feeling overwhelmed. We tried the beef brisket noodles, steak, and chicken burger, all of which were delicious. Oh, and the small dishes were very refined, which reminded me of what I learned at the Hunan Provincial Museum: ancient Changsha people had a custom of sharing food, and the breakfast experience here felt similar. The main reason for this excellent experience was the staff. Even before check-in, our butler Duoduo contacted us in advance to help reserve afternoon tea. Every front desk staff member, both ladies and gentlemen, was polite and friendly. They helped us with food deliveries and confirming Didi (ride-hailing) locations. There was one particular lady whose name I don't know; when we went out to watch a movie at night, she reminded us that it had just rained and gave us black umbrellas, which indeed saved us from getting wet when we returned late. Oh, and I must also praise the young man at the breakfast buffet. Although he looked very young, he was incredibly reliable. He remembered all the breakfast preferences I mentioned to him, and in the morning, he even asked how our stay was, which gave us a very warm feeling. We also booked a travel photoshoot, and the photographer, Shuye, was excellent. I usually feel a bit awkward when taking photos, but he guided me to pose and smile naturally, resulting in beautiful pictures! Overall, our stay at Xiangjiang Hotel provided a wonderful conclusion to our Changsha trip. I was initially worried about potential inconvenience with transportation, but there was none at all. Dining was also very convenient, with many Hunan cuisine options, so everyone can rest assured.

My recent two-night stay at The Jewel Hidden Valley was nothing short of wonderful. Nestled away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this serene and culturally rich retreat provided the perfect escape. From the moment we arrived, the warm hospitality of the staff made us feel right at home. A special mention goes to ”Julie” and ”Zhang Kai Yi” (if I remember correctly), who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. Despite the rain, they selflessly helped us with our luggage all the way to our villa—a gesture that truly touched us. Zhang even took the time to personally walk us to the Tong Guan Kiln, which was about 8 minutes away, sharing interesting insights along the way. Their kindness and attentiveness were truly impressive. The hotel’s design and layout are stunning, blending seamlessly with the natural surroundings while maintaining a luxurious feel. Our villa was spacious, well-appointed, and immaculately clean, with high-quality amenities and toiletries that added to the comfort. Breakfast was another highlight—the spread was extensive, offering a variety of delicious options that catered to different tastes. Every dish was fresh and flavorful, making it a great start to our days. Overall, The Jewel Hidden Valley exceeded my expectations in every way. The peaceful ambiance, outstanding service, and attention to detail make it a hidden gem worth revisiting. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a quiet, culturally immersive getaway!

We stopped in Changsha for a night with our child on the way to Zhangjiajie, and chose the Wanda Vista. It was a very satisfying stay! Stellar, our butler at Wanda Vista Changsha, was incredibly attentive and responsive, proactively reaching out to us early to inquire about our check-in preferences. Check-in at the front desk was quick, and the concierge and room service staff were warm and helpful, responding promptly to any requests. The room was clean and tidy, and the hotel's overall ambiance was elegant and grand, making for a comfortable stay. Located near the Xiang River, we took an evening stroll to see Orange Isle, then walked back to the lobby where we were offered delicious snacks and a small bowl of sweet soup before heading back to our room to relax. It made our trip and sightseeing so convenient and easy.

First time visiting Changsha! Didn't expect all the attractions to be so crowded... so I ended up spending most of my time at the hotel. The room and room service were both absolutely fantastic! When we checked in, the front desk attendant upgraded our room, and after we checked out, Manager Kiki was very attentive to our stay experience. My impression of Changsha is that the attractions are too crowded... I don't want to go... so I'll just opt for a better hotel experience instead! Planning to come back soon, just to enjoy the food and drinks in Changsha ❤️
