"Loved my stay here! The lake-view room offered stunning views of Yayee Park and a distant glimpse of Foshan TV Tower. The room was spacious and bright, with smart controls that were easy to use. The hotel is very thoughtful; on the 13th floor, next to the laundry room, there's a scenic corridor where you can relax and enjoy the view while waiting for your clothes. Breakfast was also high-quality, a great blend of Western and Chinese options. They even had local Foshan specialties like Chen Cun noodles and Lun Jiao cakes, alongside toast and salad. I didn't have time to try the gym or the infinity pool this time, but I'll definitely make sure to next visit. The front desk staff and the manager in black were incredibly genuine and attentive, patiently answering my questions with a smile. They even recommended Qixiangji, a local chicken restaurant, which turned out to be fantastic!"

We booked a two-night, three-day twin room, and when the hotel learned we were traveling with a child, they thoughtfully upgraded us to a business room free of charge. The room was spacious enough for our child to play happily, and they even provided kid's amenities. We were also touched that the hotel provided a capsule coffee machine, making it convenient to enjoy coffee in the room! For the past few years, whenever I have the chance, I love staying at this hotel right on my doorstep. "I often eat at this hotel's buffet lunch, and it's delicious. So, this time, when traveling with friends and kids, we chose to stay here. Since it was a vacation, we mostly stayed at the hotel, so after an overall assessment, we picked this place. First, the hotel's environment is genuinely good. It's right next to Lingnan Tiandi, and the Ancestral Temple is right in front of you. The location is truly excellent, and the subway is also nearby. Second, the hotel facilities are decent and not old. We spent an hour in the gym, and there were quite a few pieces of equipment. Third, the hotel breakfast is very rich, though it gets crowded, so you have to look for a table. Otherwise, it's good. Also, the hotel rooms are fairly clean, but there's no separate shower; you have to stand in the bathtub, which is a bit inconvenient. Everything else was fine. The fan was quite noisy at night and affected my sleep. Finally, what I'm most unhappy about is the service. I arrived at the hotel at 2:30 PM. There were only a few people, and three desks were handling check-ins. I waited for a full half-hour, only to be told my room wasn't ready. Are you kidding me? Check-in is at 2 PM. My friend arrived at 2 PM and had already checked in, and she told them we were together. I also informed Ctrip in advance that we were together and requested rooms as close as possible. Then, an hour later, they told me the room hadn't been cleaned yet and asked me to wait. I was very unhappy and asked the front desk attendant to call her manager. The attendant went in and came out, then said they could arrange a room for me, but it wouldn't be on the same floor. This made me even angrier, so I insisted on speaking to the manager. The manager finally arrived late and told me that because it was the weekend, they were busy, and that's why the room wasn't ready. Hearing this made me even more annoyed. What's the point of telling me that? I want a solution. Then, after seeing Ctrip call me, she said she had arranged a room on the same floor, just a bit further away. I then asked if it was an upgrade because when I booked, it said upgrades were possible if rooms were available. My friend, who had the same room type, was upgraded to a king-size bed, while I had twin beds. The manager said there were no upgrade options for twin rooms and that to upgrade, I'd have to switch to a king bed. If there's no upgrade for twin rooms, then why do you state that upgrades are possible? But I really didn't have the energy to argue with her. I'm here to enjoy myself, not to get angry, so I just let it go. I had almost forgotten about all of this until just now, after checking out and sitting in the car home. My friend messaged me saying the hotel felt very apologetic for not upgrading me and had given her a small gift for me. I suddenly found it quite funny. You didn't give it to me when I checked out, but after I left, you gave it to my friend to pass on? What's the meaning of that? My friend and I rarely see each other once a year; do we have to meet up again specially for this? If you're truly apologetic, why didn't you bring it to me directly when I stayed for so long? I'm genuinely speechless with your hotel's service and arrangements. I'm not after your small gift; I'm just speechless at how you handled it. You did the work, you showed your intent, but you failed to make the guest feel it."

"I chose the newly opened Baxi Hotel for my business trip to Shunde this year. As a long-time Ctrip user, my stay at Baxi far exceeded my expectations, so I decided to write a review for everyone's reference. On the day of arrival, the front desk staff helped me retrieve my luggage from the car right at the entrance. Check-in was very quick, and they proactively informed me about the dedicated elevator, breakfast times, and parking location. My first impression upon entering the room was how clean and comfortable it was. There was also a faint, pleasant scent in the room. The bedding was fluffy and soft, and the mattress was just right in terms of firmness (I specifically checked, and it was a branded deep-sleep mattress), so even those with back issues would sleep well. After a busy day, lying down felt completely relaxing. The room's soundproofing was excellent; I noticed they had added soundproofing strips, so I could barely hear any noise from the corridor or adjacent rooms, ensuring a very peaceful night's rest. I especially want to commend the water pressure at this hotel. The hot water flow was strong and consistent in temperature. The rain showerhead felt like a massage on my body while showering, and the Laifen hairdryer was so comfortable to use that it's now on my wishlist! The river view room offered expansive views from the window, high up, overlooking the Desheng River. The next morning, I enjoyed breakfast. The variety was extensive, with hot dishes, pastries, coffee, and fruit all well-stocked, and the taste was definitely on point. Midway through, I requested an extra set of toiletries, and the butler delivered them very quickly after I called the front desk – very responsive. I must mention the unique features of this hotel that set it apart from others. Besides a hidden gem Zen cultural hall, there's also a tea culture hall. The highly-rated Dejingxuan restaurant, a 'must-eat' spot, is on the fourth floor, offering river views and delicious food, all just an elevator ride away for relaxation. To the left of the hotel entrance is the popular Fisherman's Wharf. This saved me time on planning and travel, which was perfect for someone with a tight schedule like me. Overall, the service, hardware, amenities, and cleanliness perfectly matched the price. It's my top choice for business travel, and I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in the area. Highly recommend it to all my friends!"
