"I usually don't write reviews, but I just *have* to recommend this hotel! For this trip, I booked an Executive Family Room, and it was excellent value for money. The room was spacious; even with two beds, it didn't feel cramped. The double vanity in the bathroom was perfect for three people sharing, making our morning routines a breeze. They also offer complimentary laundry service daily and a nightly 'goodnight milk' service. I especially want to praise the services on the Executive Floor. On the morning of our check-in, hotel staff called ahead to explain the process, informing us that Executive Floor guests could check in at the Executive Lounge on the 21st floor. Adding their WeChat concierge for 24-hour assistance was super convenient. While checking in, we enjoyed afternoon tea at the Executive Lounge. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the lounge itself had a very elegant atmosphere. It was pouring rain in Luoyang that day, so spending the entire afternoon there, sipping coffee, was wonderfully relaxing. The night before we left, I experienced the Starlight Bar in the Executive Lounge. The rooftop garden, with its gentle evening breeze, was incredibly pleasant. After checking out, the staff even gave us peony-themed brooches and fans, which was such a lovely touch and really enhanced the whole experience! I've already highly recommended this hotel to all my friends. Choosing to stay here was definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Luoyang, and I'm extremely satisfied!"

The rooms are fully equipped and have a comfortable atmosphere. The first floor Sao Paulo Western Restaurant specializes in exotic Brazilian grilled meat; The Chinese restaurant of the second floor HuangChao gourmet restaurant is based on fusion cuisine, complemented by Luoyang specialty dishes to create a high-end dining culture; The top-level Hugo restaurant is themed around French cuisine, allowing guests to find the European medieval atmosphere in French romance. "Staying at the Friendship Hotel in Luoyang was such a great experience! It's steeped in history, with many national leaders having stayed there. The staff were enthusiastic, and the breakfast was abundant. They even gave us complimentary snacks, yogurt, and white fungus soup, and there was plenty of purified water on our floor. The room was clean and spacious – I was very satisfied! Special shout-out to the waitress at the second-floor restaurant who found my forgotten bag and called me to pick it up. My only minor complaints are that the panoramic elevator going up to the second-floor restaurant had a strange odor, and there were quite a few small flying insects when we were dining in private room 212. I hope these can be improved."

"The hotel boasts an excellent location with convenient transport links and its own parking lot. It's flanked by two large shopping malls, one on each side. In front, there's Kaiyuan Lake, perfect for a morning workout, and the subway station is just a 3-5 minute walk behind the hotel. The service at this hotel is exceptionally attentive. The staff at the entrance proactively offered to help with our luggage, and the front desk ladies were friendly and welcoming. They even called us beforehand to ask about our needs and had our room prepared in advance – truly commendable! This excellent service prompted us to extend our stay by two days. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the layout is well-suited for both family travelers and business guests. I'll definitely choose Luoyang Marriott again next time."

"The overall environment is pretty good, and the breakfast at 68 is reasonably priced. The room had water and 4 complimentary drinks. The room itself was quite nice, and the staff were friendly. However, because the hotel is so large, finding the elevators was confusing. The map provided wasn't very clear. There should be more recognizable signs on the walls indicating room numbers and elevator directions. A concerning incident was when I couldn't find an elevator after walking around for a long time, so I decided to take the stairs down. To my surprise, the door on the first floor was locked. I had to go back up to the second floor to find an elevator. For safety, how can the bottom door of a fire escape be locked?"

Michelin level restaurant executive chef, provide authentic Cantonese food, any point any food for you to taste. The hotel is equipped with two conference rooms with different sizes and complete functions, which can meet the needs of different specifications.

"The overall room service was excellent and very thoughtful. Items were delivered quickly, and the turndown service with a note and snack was a really nice touch. **Cleanliness:** I'd suggest that toiletries be replaced with each new guest. When I checked in, there was a short hair on the shower gel bottle, and I also found a previous guest's hair under the bedsheets. **Service:** The front desk and housekeeping staff were great, but the breakfast definitely needs improvement. I went to the restaurant at 9:10 AM, and even though more guests arrived later, the fruit and salad stations were largely empty. The container for the tofu pudding wasn't very big, and when I wanted a bowl, it was all gone. I asked the staff member at the station, and she said it was finished and would take 40 minutes to make more, so I regrettably didn't get any. They started clearing up at 9:40 AM without asking guests if they wanted anything else. All the tableware was melamine, and the beverage glasses didn't look particularly clean. I want to reiterate that the room itself was excellent value for money, but having paid separately for breakfast, I felt it was really not worth the price."

"Novotel, part of the Accor group, is a mid-range, practical hotel brand. While the decor isn't high-end and the views are fairly ordinary, the hotel offers convenient amenities like a laundry room, a reading room, and a modest-sized gym. Its location in Luoyang isn't the absolute best, but given that Luoyang city isn't very large, it's still relatively convenient for getting to various tourist attractions. What truly deserves praise is the restaurant. Besides Western breakfast options, it serves incredibly authentic local specialties. We're talking about local favorites like Roujiamo (Chinese meat burger), spicy soup (Hulatang), spring rolls, tofu pudding, and lamb soup. Everything is prepared both hygienically and authentically, so there's no need to venture out to sample local cuisine. Overall, for travelers visiting Luoyang, this hotel is a practical, economical, and convenient choice."

It is not just a place to stay—but a meaningful experience that brings deep physical and mental renewal, turning every day into a memorable holiday chapter.

"Decided to try out one of their unique room types. The room wasn't huge, but it was incredibly well-equipped. The little courtyard was so relaxing, and having a private hot spring tub was a real bonus! My child absolutely loved it. The butler was also fantastic, responding to messages 24/7 almost instantly. The front desk lady was very kind, and they even offered a pick-up and drop-off service. The staff member who drove us was handsome and had a great attitude – my husband even commented that his voice sounded like Wang Yibo's! Overall, a great experience and definitely worth checking out."

Courtyard By Marriott Luoyang is the first international brand hotel which opened by Marriott International in Luoyang. It adjacent to the Sports Arena of Luoyang and Exhibition Center of New District, and also is the central area of Luo Long District, which is the core area of cultural, financial and political integration.

"Good: - gym is very big - hotel area is quiet and clean - breakfast spread was VERY GOOD Bad: - location is very far from everything - only 2 washers and dryers, and there is no service to bring up my laundry for me. i would expect a 5* hotel to be able to provide a service that regular 4* hotels do - corridors and rooms felt very warm - corridor lights for the laundry floor were off at night, making it VERY DARK and a bit creepy to walk around I would consider this a 4 to 4.5 star hotel instead of 5 stars"

"Several friends highly recommended we stay here if we were visiting Longmen Grottoes. I'm glad I listened to their advice, because their taste is excellent! The hotel is located on East Mountain, facing the Longmen Grottoes on West Mountain across the river. You can even see some of the grottoes from the rooftop terrace of Building 5. The hotel is right next to Xiangshan Temple and surrounds Bai Garden, offering beautiful scenery at every turn. The service is also excellent. You can book an electric shuttle at the front desk to take you to the East Gate of the Grottoes, then walk or take another shuttle to the Northwest Gate ticket office. After exploring the Grottoes and Bai Garden, it's just a short walk back to the hotel. The room type we booked even included a free send-off service to the station, which was very convenient. While the decor might be a little dated, the facilities are complete. It's clean and hygienic, with welcome fruit and complimentary snacks and drinks. The breakfast offers a wide variety of dishes, all rich and delicious, though the coffee was really not good, haha. We had lunch in the banquet hall, using a BOGO deal from Ctrip for two people, and the portion sizes were incredibly generous and tasty! Upon check-in, we received a voucher for the tea room on the upper floor's terrace. Enjoying tea and a book there was incredibly pleasant! The lady working at the tea room provided amazing service. Overall, I highly recommend it!"

JJinxisimajiongI stayed here for two days over the weekend with my parents and children in Luoyang. Everything was pretty good, except for the terrible pick-up driver. The pros are outstanding. It's a garden-style hotel with beautiful scenery, right next to the Longmen Grottoes. We booked a terrace room, and it was lovely to relax with a breeze and some tea. The Chinese restaurant's food was delicious; I highly recommend their Yellow River carp. Outside the restaurant is a lake with a flock of adorable white geese. After feeding them once, the kids noticed that the geese recognized them and would swim over from across the lake, honking for food. The children were thrilled and played with them for a long time. The lobby staff were all very enthusiastic, and the coffee at the lobby bar was fragrant. They even extended our check-out to 2 PM. Now, for a serious complaint about the pick-up driver: his attitude was extremely poor and impatient, which was infuriating. We had agreed on a pick-up location beforehand. After exiting the station, he said it was too congested for him to turn in and instructed us to walk along the road to find the car. We were carrying luggage with elderly parents and children and walked almost to the end of the road without finding him. When I asked him to send his location, he claimed he didn't have WeChat. Eventually, the driver angrily drove over to find us and then complained that we hadn't waved him down. I was speechless – it was pitch black, and we were unfamiliar with the area; how was I supposed to know which car to wave at? I was also quite angry and told him directly not to bother, that we would just take a taxi. Right after I hung up, he drove over. I'm not sure if it was because I lost my temper, but after we got into the car, the driver's attitude did soften considerably. However, it didn't make up for the previous issues. While providing airport/station transfers is a nice service, it's frustrating to start your trip feeling so annoyed. The drop-off service, though, was completely normal.

YYueguangmeiyingThis hotel is excellent, truly deserving its place on this year's Black Pearl Guide. It's perfectly located right outside the main entrance of the Longmen Grottoes, just a few minutes' walk to the scenic area, and very convenient for reaching the high-speed train station or the city center. The surrounding area features Longmen Ancient Street, offering plenty of dining and shopping options. The hotel itself has a fantastic design, making it very photogenic. What's even better is the attractive price – the value for money is outstanding; I doubt you'll find a better deal on the entire Black Pearl list.

SShuijiaohuanghouI booked this hotel for my parents, and they were absolutely delighted. It's conveniently located near all the major attractions, and getting around by taxi or subway is super easy. The service was top-notch, truly. I chose Christine after reading so many glowing reviews, and it definitely paid off! My parents couldn't stop praising the staff, saying every single employee they encountered was warm, friendly, and incredibly polite: from the lobby manager, concierge, and front desk, to the housekeeping staff, restaurant crew, and even the driver who took them to the station – every single one was just wonderful. Such a hotel culture and management level is truly impressive! On top of that, the breakfast and afternoon tea were incredibly rich and delicious. Next time we're in Luoyang, we're definitely staying here again!

CchvipI originally wanted to book a big bed room with a balcony. I had no choice but to have two rooms in the whole hotel. We needed 5 rooms. When we checked in, we expressed this regret with the front desk. The reception did not prompt the hotel to have a twin room with a balcony. After dinner, I went back to the hotel and found out that there were many rooms with balconies in the hotel. Next, a surprise happened. At the front desk, a lady who didn't smile and wore an employee uniform, but had a sense of manager power and told me that after checking in, I needed to make up for a day's room rate. I proposed that I could do my best to discuss with her superiors, and she resolutely replied to me no. I want to say that this hotel is surnamed Jia, not Wu, and it is not time for anything to come to you. Is your so-called regulations publicized? Is the price record of the relevant department? At this time, my savior appeared. A waiter with the surname Fu helped me solve the problem. He proposed to take me to see the room first, and then discuss it if you are satisfied. She did her best to help me complete the work of changing rooms in the whole process. Thank you very much. On the third day of breakfast, I encountered a warmer scene. When a guest in the fruit stall took a clip to pick up the meal, I waited on the side. An employee in a black overalls walked past me and looked at me. Then I went to the side and took a clean clip and smiled and handed it to me. I, I didn't say a word during the whole process, she didn't say a word, but the service that should be done was in place, too perfect. The above experience really echoed an old saying, a rat shit broke a pot of porridge.

ZZJwjp1965I stayed at the Huayang International Hotel in April 2017 when I came to Luoyang to see the peonies, and I was very impressed: excellent service, and the food on the second floor was fantastic (especially the braised carp, it was so delicious)... So when I returned to Luoyang, I chose the Huayang International Hotel again. Time has passed, and I can understand that the door frames in the room show some wear and tear. The receptionist at the front desk was very friendly and asked me to select 21 kinds of fruit (complimentary from the hotel), saying they would be delivered to my room in 40 minutes. I carefully made my selections, but to my surprise, a plate of fruit arrived less than 5 minutes after I got to my room. After unwrapping it and counting carefully, if you count each small tomato as one type, there were only about 12 varieties – nowhere near 21. I hadn't even checked 'pear,' so it seemed like this fruit was already prepared beforehand. I mentioned it to the front desk when I went out, and when I returned to my room before dinner, another plate was delivered, making it 21 varieties. However, aside from the bananas and small tomatoes, which were acceptable, the apples and nectarines tasted terrible – sour and astringent. I took one bite and had to throw them away, which was a waste and a shame. I suggest the hotel avoids playing number games and instead focuses on providing a few genuinely good-tasting fruits. Is that so hard? The room's cleanliness was excellent. For dinner, I wanted to order the braised Yellow River carp on the second floor, but I was told it needed to be reserved in advance and that all the carp were 4-5 jin (2-2.5 kg). There were only two of us; could we possibly finish a 4-5 jin fish? The next evening, I had a braised Yellow River carp, about 2 jin, at a small restaurant near Yingtiangate. Around 4 PM on my second day, a lovely staff member delivered a hand-drawn map of Luoyang's attractions. It showed the hotel's thoughtfulness, but wasn't it a bit late to deliver? The breakfast was quite abundant; the scallion pancakes were fragrant and tasty, but the beef pancakes were just average. The complimentary shuttle service to the high-speed train station was a thoughtful touch.

CCece12I LOVE the zen vibes and decor of this hotel. The amenities from the book bar to the mini theatre were excellent and perfect for a relaxing chilled staycation. The hotel went above and beyond to take care of our needs and comfort. The hotel staff were all friendly and professional. We were extremely impressed by their attentiveness, especially by Hon, the chief concierge. He prepared water for us before a sightseeing trip and gave us good advice on which exit to get to, time spent etc. The restaurant at the hotel was also very good!! We love Cantonese food and even more so when it is done WELL. A fancy hotel is easy to come by if one pays for it but a great service that goes beyond your expectations is very hard to come by. Great value overall, comfortable, extremely relaxing and impressionable stay.

SslashoneFew reviews... 1. No children's slippers or toiletries. 2. The phone was unreachable. I had to walk downstairs twice because I couldn't stand it anymore. I finally found out I had to dial 6666. There were no signs or notices in the room. 3. No low pillows or thin blankets. The room was hot. The front desk told me to sleep with the window open, but I had no choice. I asked for a few bath towels to make do for the night, and they only brought them after I asked twice. 4. There was no refrigeration in the room. I ended up putting the items that needed refrigeration back in the car. Overall, the price and quality didn't match. It's around 700-800 yuan, after all. The quality isn't as good as most high-end hotels, let alone luxury ones. Judging from the banners and resource allocation, it's easy to tell what kind of hotel it is and what kind of business it does. It's not suitable for individuals or families. It might be worth considering for conferences or relaxation. By the way, the kids also had to pay an extra 48 yuan for breakfast, which is quite unusual. I didn't even bother arguing with them.

GGuest UserOverall, my experience at this hotel was excellent. The location is superb, the decor is elegant and serene, and the comfort level of the stay was very high. I'd like to give a special shout-out to staff members 1036 and 1039; their service was warm, attentive, and thoughtful, making the entire experience truly wonderful. The only minor downside was the rather ordinary breakfast selection, which definitely has room for improvement. Other than that, everything else was very satisfactory, and I would still highly recommend staying here!

MManuelvvWhere should I begin. The hotel is fantastic. When you arrive you are greeted by friendly staff and a cup of tea while finishing check-in. The room was amazing overlooking the lake. The room was huge and had a great shower and bath with great views. The stay included breakfast that had a huge variety of food and drinks. With your stay you can use the next door fitness and 50 meters swimming pool and the sauna, hot bath and showers. I would recommend staying at this hotel when staying in Luoyang!

GGuest UserBack in May, when I was in Wenchang, Hainan, I passed by the Hilton Greentree and thought about staying a few nights. Its unique selling point is its proximity to the rocket launch base. Due to a tight schedule, I couldn't stay then, but the idea of finding a distinctive Hilton hotel to experience had already taken root. Upon returning to Zhumadian, the Hilton Garden Inn Luoyang popped up on my social media feeds. I saw it daily, learning about the brand's tier and style within the Hilton family. There are only a few such hotels nationwide, and the Luoyang one was newly opened. So, I booked it on Ctrip and came to Luoyang to check it out. As soon as I stepped out of the taxi, the doorman practically sprinted over, readily taking both my suitcases and backpack. This warm welcome immediately made me feel at home. Inside the lobby, the Hilton front desk team was incredibly enthusiastic and attentive, completing my check-in in just 30 seconds. Now, let's break down the hotel's design style: **Figure 1: The Wall Art** This wall was created by Guo Aihe, a nationally renowned artist from Luoyang. He transformed traditional Tang Sancai (Tang Dynasty tri-color glazed pottery) techniques into a modern art installation. Each small square of glazed painting is hand-fired, with colors primarily in the classic Tang Sancai yellow, green, and blue. When assembled, they form a flowing image resembling the 'Nine-Bend Yellow River,' echoing Luoyang's deep connection to the Yellow River culture. The wall features a curved design, with ceiling lights and marble flooring creating a harmonious interplay, allowing light to refract into rich shadows and light effects from various angles. As your perspective changes, the glaze's colors and luster reveal a fluid texture, retaining the warmth of Sancai while imparting a strong modern feel to the space. As an embodiment of the Hilton Curio Collection's emphasis on 'localization,' this wall integrates Luoyang's ancient capital heritage, Tang Sancai's intangible cultural heritage, and Yellow River culture. **Figures 2-5: Public Area Atrium and Corridor** The winding light strips in the public atrium outline the macroscopic 'zigzag' shape of the Yellow River's course, serving as the hotel's central visual theme. The wall sconces in the corridors use staggered light poles to depict the dynamic ripples of the Yellow River, a secondary interpretation of the theme. Upon entering, the metallic screen, with its 'flowing curves,' replaces traditional solid walls or glass, maintaining spatial transparency while perfectly aligning with the hotel's thematic narrative, ensuring design is never sacrificed for functionality. The headboard wall in the bedrooms features staggered luminous lines within a grid, simulating the river systems/contour lines of the Yellow River as it flows through the Central Plains, bringing the 'sense of flow' directly into the guest rooms. From the lobby to the guest rooms, every detail serves the 'Yellow River' theme, creating a complete narrative loop. **Figure 6: Elevators** There are four Schindler elevators, an international top-tier brand I favor. The wait time is minimal, and they are both fast and stable. **Figure 7: Gym Equipment** The gym features Precor commercial ellipticals, another international top brand I appreciate. My room also had several familiar high-end brands: **Figure 8:** German Hafele door locks and hidden hinges, especially the black hinges, which belong to Hafele's high-end line. **Figure 9:** The wardrobe uses soft-close hinges from the professional brand Blum. **Figure 10:** The entire bathroom system is from the high-end British brand Utopia. **Figure 11:** The balcony's full-length aluminum alloy windows and door handles are from the industry benchmark, German Hoppe. **Figures 12 and 13:** These show the Wagyu beef set meal I had in the afternoon, featuring Australian M5 Wagyu paired with De Bortoli Willowglen red wine from a century-old Australian winery. The flavors were fully unleashed. **Video 1:** I must commend the Hilton team for their professional turndown service. My room was meticulously cleaned, free of hair, dust, or any overlooked spots. The hotel features Hilton's exclusive custom-designed KingKoil mattresses, signature high-thread-count sateen bedding, 90% down duvets, and four 90% down pillows. I found myself wanting to linger in bed even after it was time to get up. The shower stall has grab bars everywhere, and the bathtub even includes a headrest, demonstrating the hotel's commitment to prioritizing guest safety. The renowned British 'red label' Vision towels also caught my eye, often used by many international five-star hotels. From hand towels to bath towels, bath sheets, and bathrobes, they are all high-thread-count, high-density, and high-GSM, making them incredibly comfortable to use. Despite my heavier build, both the bath towel and bathrobe provided ample coverage. This stay was exceptionally good, and I even learned and grew from the experience at the hotel. I unreservedly give it a 5.0-star rating. My only regret this time was only booking one night on Ctrip. Zhumadian is close to Luoyang, so next time I'll bring my family and book 3-5 nights on Ctrip to fully enjoy a 'micro-vacation' and slow pace at the Hilton Curio Collection Luoyang.
