It sometimes felt like if they were busy, I was left to carry my own luggage. But then to see them standing around chatting instead of assisting? That's quite inexcusable. Room service was also good. The laundry service was particularly thoughtful. ## Dining Breakfast was pretty standard. ## Location Transportation is convenient, and it's easy to hail a taxi or rideshare."

From the first second I stepped into the hotel, her signature warm smile made people feel like spring breeze. When checking in, she not only accurately captured our needs of ”wanting to deeply experience Luoyang culture”, but also took the initiative to upgrade the room facing the lake view and handed over a handwritten recommendation list - from ”the route to visit the Longmen Grottoes to avoid the crowds at 8 o'clock in the morning” to ”the map of beef soup restaurants that only locals know”, every suggestion accurately hit our points of interest. It truly interprets the Marriott spirit of ”customer first”."

"Overall, I was generally satisfied with my two-night stay. The pickup service I booked was a pleasant surprise; the car was quite luxurious, which was a definite plus. The complimentary minibar (first round, as stated in the booking) was a nice touch, and it was replenished the next day, which was unexpected and appreciated. The front desk staff were very welcoming and even upgraded my room after I mentioned I'm a light sleeper and concerned about noise. However, there was a minor hiccup during check-in that caused some dissatisfaction. I arrived at 11 AM and was told my room would be ready after a 40-minute clean. But when I returned after lunch, past 1 PM, it still wasn't ready. I ended up waiting another 20 minutes before checking in. I'm not sure if my room was overlooked or if there was a communication issue with housekeeping. Additionally, there were some minor cleanliness issues: the electric kettle had stains on the outside, and there were also stains on the carpet. I hope management can pay more attention to these details. Finally, the mattress was quite firm, especially for us who are used to softer beds. Both my daughter and I woke up feeling stiff and sore the next day. She even strongly insisted on moving hotels, but we decided it was too much hassle, so we just made do for our second night."

"My stay at Courtyard by Marriott Luoyang was truly remarkable. The hotel's lobby is elegant and inviting. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-appointed with modern amenities. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. The location is also convenient, close to many attractions. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend this hotel to others."

"I LOVE the zen vibes and decor of this hotel. The amenities from the book bar to the mini theatre were excellent and perfect for a relaxing chilled staycation. The hotel went above and beyond to take care of our needs and comfort. The hotel staff were all friendly and professional. We were extremely impressed by their attentiveness, especially by Hon, the chief concierge. He prepared water for us before a sightseeing trip and gave us good advice on which exit to get to, time spent etc. The restaurant at the hotel was also very good!! We love Cantonese food and even more so when it is done WELL. A fancy hotel is easy to come by if one pays for it but a great service that goes beyond your expectations is very hard to come by. Great value overall, comfortable, extremely relaxing and impressionable stay."

"The hotel boasts a lovely environment and the service was incredibly warm and attentive. They were very thoughtful, allowing me to check in early since my high-speed train arrived quite ahead of schedule. Given the hot weather, I wasn't keen on dining out. Fortunately, the hotel has both a Chinese restaurant and a buffet, and the food was excellent. I particularly enjoyed the garlic lobster and scallops, short ribs, beef 'huoshao', black chicken soup, and bullfrog with yellow peppers. The hotel is also conveniently located near a food street, and public transportation is excellent. There are direct bus routes to popular attractions such as Yingtianmen, Longmen Grottoes, White Horse Temple, and the Luoyang Museum. Furthermore, with a large supermarket right next door, it's super easy to pick up necessities or grab a bubble tea."

"We booked this hotel for 2 nights because it is new and next to the Luoshenfu performance next door. Excellent hotel. So beautiful and spacious rooms with separate bathroom and toilet. Way beyond our expectations. Nice bath tub, shower room, projector TV, coffee machine with complimentary cookies and fruits and complimentary drinks in mini-bar. Robot delivering bottled water when requested. Absolutely love the hotel and wish we stayed longer. We will book this hotel again if we visit Luoyang. Chinese Restaurant had tremendous value. Delicious 9 course dinner including steam fish and lobster, taste really good. We had dinner at the Chinese restaurant on both nights. The first night we were thoroughly impressed with the private dining room with ensuite toilet. Breakfast with good international selection of Chinese and Western options. Definitely the best hotel of our 2 weeks stay in China. Now we have a great impression of Luoyang because of the hotel. Only feedback is that it will be good if the toilet and bathroom lights can be separate so that at night when sleeping, guests can just switch on the toilet light and leave the rest of the room dark. Current dim light switch leaves bathroom still quite bright and glaring when sleeping. Other than this minor point, this hotel really wonderful and definitely a great hotel to stay in Luoyang!"

"I saw a video claiming that the Henan Christine Hotel was comparable to Pang Dong Lai, so I specifically planned a trip to Luoyang to experience it. Thankfully, I wasn't disappointed. They offer free pick-up service from the station. Upon check-in, I found it was a round bed, and since I was traveling with a child, I had noted in my reservation not to have one. I called the front desk, and because there were no king-sized rooms left, they immediately upgraded my room. The complimentary late-night snacks, treats, fruits, and various other amenities were quite comprehensive. The buffet breakfast is served in the top-floor restaurant, and both the ambiance and the food were good. Finally, I have to highlight the service: everyone from the front desk to housekeeping and the restaurant staff had an excellent attitude. I will definitely choose Christine again next time I visit Henan."

"Beautiful hotel with a fantastic breakfast. We were a little frustrated at check in as we had paid for a more expensive room that wasn't ready on time so they tried to give us a lower end room under the false claim that it was an upgrade when it was in fact a downgrade. Additionally the pool was a public one located off site from the hotel. It was a nice facility but it would have been good to know as I almost went in my bathrobe which would have been an awkward walk around the block. With this minor issues we still had a nice and enjoyable stay."

"I'd heard so much about Hualian, the legendary 'Haidilao of the hotel industry,' and was really looking forward to staying there. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a room on the 3rd, so I ended up at the nearby Orange Hotel instead. The website said check-in was at 3 PM, but on the morning of the 4th, I called to see if I could check in around noon, and the front desk happily agreed. Driving into the hotel, I immediately noticed a common issue with older hotels: cars parked haphazardly in front of the lobby, making parking extremely tight. Once inside, the staff seemed very enthusiastic, offering a small gift and escorting me to my room. They also thoroughly explained the hotel's facilities and services. The room decor was clearly outdated and worn. To compensate for the lack of bedside outlets, the hotel had added a vertical power strip. The most unbearable part was having to step into an old-fashioned bathtub to shower. Although the hotel provided plastic non-slip slippers, there was still a significant risk of falling. It reminded me of The Luxe Manor in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong, which was even older than Hualian. They had a half-screen covering the bathtub and a grab bar on one side, which made it feel much safer. And the shower head in the room was truly subpar; I wish they would replace it with a new one that had stronger water pressure. The snacks and fruit I ordered from the front desk arrived, and I couldn't help but laugh when I saw them. One orange was rotten. And there were only three Shine Muscat grapes… The breakfast was quite varied, but it was so crowded during meal times that it was hard to find an empty table. The toppings for the beef and chicken noodles were all empty and weren't replenished promptly. For lunch on the second floor, I tried to order several dishes, but they were all unavailable. The waiter explained that there was a wedding banquet, so many dishes couldn't be served. Overall, the hotel's service was decent; almost everyone I encountered greeted me. Also, I really appreciated the turndown service. They placed a floor mat in front of the bed, which reminded me of staying in hotels when I was younger – that used to be standard service, but it's rare to see it now. I've attached photos from my stay at The Luxe Manor in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong, a few days ago, which is even older than yours. I hope Hualian Hotel takes this into consideration and renovates actively to improve!"
