It has all the essentials and is very clean. The mattress was comfortable. Of course, it can't compare to high-end or luxury hotels. Its main advantage is its excellent location; it's very convenient for exploring, and you can easily pop back for a rest when you get tired. **Service:** The staff were very service-oriented. When we arrived, there weren't many guests, and the service was very attentive. **Breakfast:** It's not a buffet; it's a fixed-menu breakfast, like a 'nine-grid' style. It looks very appealing, and the taste is decent enough to fill you up. Overall, it's a good stay. Naturally, for this price point within the ancient city, you shouldn't compare it to hotels of the same price outside. It's incomparable, primarily due to its superb geographical advantage."

"What an amazing stay we had. They even upgraded us to another luxury room because there was a slight problem with the living room light. The place is really well kept and beautiful. Very peaceful and central location . The people at the reception were very helpful and kept us in touch with we chat all the time.they even came for us and took us back to the station. "Our stay was absolutely fantastic! The amenities and the butler service were top-notch, truly exceptional. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Pingyao Ancient City. 1. They provide high-quality toiletries from Le Labo, mouthwash from Appelles, and a Dyson hairdryer – truly premium personal care products. 2. Since it was the off-season, the hotel upgraded our room. And due to an unforeseen issue on the first night, they upgraded our room again, showing their excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Upon check-in, they immediately offered food recommendations and a travel guide. 3. Every afternoon, we received a delightful delivery of fresh fruit, selected snacks, and a heartwarming sweet soup. It was a lovely touch that made us feel very cared for. Plus, breakfast could be delivered to our room to enjoy at our leisure. Overall, this was an absolutely amazing stay!"

"Excellent location with a nice intro buffet dinner for local cuisine and breakfast included. Next to an important Taoist shrine and provision shops. Also within 5-10 min walk from the “New East Gate” which is important if you want to take a taxi for sights outside the walled city. Note outside vehicles are not allowed to get into the walled city. Extremely helpful staff and the high speed rail station to hotel transfer service is much appreciated especially since outside taxi cannot get into the hotel location. We speak mandarin and found the ancient city tour guides well worth the money. Look for the guides with the standardised purple windbreakers in winter. Standardised price but worth every cent. Glad my family took the detour to Ping Yao"

"Dude, I'm gonna strongly recommend Yunjincheng Mansion! It's got an awesome location, right in the heart of Pingyao Ancient City. You can just take a stroll to major attractions like Rishengchang Draft Bank. It's super convenient to get around. The century - old courtyard has that classic and elegant charm, so peaceful and refined. You can totally immerse yourself in the style of the Shanxi merchant compound. The guest rooms are clean, tidy, and comfy. The toiletries are really good, and the stay was great. They even gave us a foot - soaking bucket. How sweet is that! The breakfast has a wide variety. There are freshly - made hand - cut noodles, pure Shanxi aged vinegar brewed on the spot, and freshly - ground coffee that smells amazing and tastes so rich. The staff are friendly and polite, and their service is so detailed. The turn - down service at night really shows they care. I felt so comfortable throughout the stay. I'll definitely choose this place next time I come!"

"A very nice hotel with very friendly staff and nice rooms. We recommend the VIP building. The breakfast was chinese and western. The hotel is placed outside the city wall and can be reached easily with taxi or DiDi, but only a few steps to enter the ancient city area. The only field to improve is some basic English for foreign guests, but at the end we managed to communicate :-). See you again!"

"The quaint courtyard was truly worth the trip. The owner was incredibly thoughtful, contacting us a day in advance to provide parking information and even turning on the air conditioning in our room beforehand – more considerate than I expected. Because we got carried away sightseeing, it was already dark when we arrived in Pingyao. Luckily, the owner had sent someone to wait for us along the parking lot route, otherwise we might have missed our stop. The hotel's location is very convenient, easily accessible from West Street and South Street. The breakfast was also excellent and definitely worth trying. Oh, and the owner even upgraded us to a cave dwelling room and gave us a discount coupon – thank you! I felt that the businesses I encountered in Pingyao were all very friendly and had excellent service. Highly recommended!"
