"The hotel is new, but very small, and the pool was packed like sardines. Overall it was clean, but in the evenings, a lot of termites would fly onto the balcony. Breakfast was very mediocre and always the same. The biggest problem was the poor service. For an island resort, they don't have their own water activities; everything is outsourced. The hotel staff were clueless when asked about anything. Plus, the outsourced activities were very limited; there wasn't even a 'Yabigachi' tour available, which is ridiculous. Also, one evening I asked the front desk for some salt (I bought local pineapple specialties but forgot to buy salt, and my lips were bleeding from eating it). A Chinese-speaking person, possibly *********, very sternly told me that at such a late hour, where would they find salt for me, and that they didn't have any."

Situated southwest of the main island of Okinawa, where the Ryukyu Kingdom once played an integral role in Japan’s maritime history, Miyakojima is renowned for the exceptional longevity rates among its community. Embark on a transformative journey to the allure of “Miyako Blue”, where vibrant coral reefs and sea turtles nesting rituals await. Designed by acclaimed Dutch designer Piet Boon, each of our 55 guest villas including three houses seamlessly incorporate modern Japanese minimalism with natural elements, creating an atmosphere of tranquility and harmony. Immerse in Ryukyu spirit, relish local culinary delights and experience Rosewood Miyakojima’s refined dining spaces, lounges and Asaya wellness concept.

"A year later, I returned to the Rosewood Miyakajima and was once again captivated by its unique scenery. However, compared to my previous wonderful experience, this stay, while still featuring stunning views, was filled with an undeniable sense of disappointment. The room remained clean to a good standard, spotlessly spotless. Against the backdrop of this breathtaking natural environment, minor imperfections were easily overlooked. However, for a hotel costing over 13,000 RMB per night, the welcome amenities felt incredibly cheap and didn't match the quality expected at this price. The room's smart control system was also poorly designed. The curtains/sheers were controlled as a single unit, making independent control extremely inconvenient. In the afternoon, I wanted to take a nap in the room, while my friend wanted to read in the living room. Because the curtains couldn't be adjusted individually, the lighting couldn't meet both our needs, ultimately ruining my sleep and leaving me feeling quite annoyed. Furthermore, the sliding door leading to the outside was noticeably problematic, requiring considerable force to open; the attention to detail was lacking. Upon closer inspection, the outdoor hot tub reveals layers of tiny foreign objects floating on the surface. Both meals during my stay were at the hotel. The food quality was undeniably excellent, with exceptionally fresh ingredients. However, the service was disappointing, falling short of Rosewood's expected standards and even appearing disconnected. Each time we entered the restaurant, no staff member proactively greeted us or guided us to our seats. On the second evening, we waited at our seats for nearly ten minutes without any assistance. Finally, unable to bear it any longer, we had to call out to a staff member for a menu. That evening, I reported this unpleasant experience to the front desk manager, but received no response whatsoever. Even after checking out, I received no feedback or apology from the hotel. Is this management style and service level truly healthy? Is it gradually eroding the trust and goodwill of loyal customers? Based on these two experiences, I must re-evaluate whether the Rosewood Miyakojima should remain on my travel list."

"Miyako Island is divided into north and south. Shiriga is located in the south of the island, facing the South Pacific. It is a suite hotel with a private pool in a resort with 7 or 8 hotels scattered around. Basically, you can only visit the resort nearby. If you want to go to the more prosperous north, you need to rent a car or Didi, which is very expensive. It is so expensive that I think I am crazy to take a taxi. If you want to fully enjoy the resort in a short time, you can download an app called Shiriga Seven Miles Resort. Otherwise, I was a little confused when I first arrived. Anyway, I was confused because there was a resort around and there was no commercial area except for the guests. Travel depends on the hotel's shuttle and golf cart, but you can communicate with the hotel at any time. As long as you go anywhere in the resort, it is convenient and you can play for two days. The local people are simple and friendly to Chinese people. There are curious and cute black-skinned local boy employees, but most of them have poor English and basically cannot communicate. The attitude is good, but I am also very polite. This hotel has a super special place. This is a surprise secret for you to discover. The scenery is absolutely beautiful. The sea is full of water, with a turquoise color. If it rains, swimming on rainy days is also very pleasant. The scenery is especially recommended in coral village. I plan to stay there if I have the chance to come again, but I probably don't have much chance to come. There are hiking routes and beaches by the sea. You can bring sneakers to climb the whole mountain and then change into slippers to step on the sea. Just thinking about it makes me happy. Food recommendation is the teppanyaki in the main building of the resort. It costs about 1,000 yuan per person. The beef is delicious, and the lobster is average. You can choose a suitable set meal. There is also a restaurant called Miyako Soba, which has a pork hot pot, which is absolutely amazing. The seafood and sashimi are average, probably because the seafood sashimi in China is actually quite delicious now. There is also sake all-you-can-eat, which is cheap and delicious. You need to ask the hotel to help make reservations in advance. There are more than 20 restaurants in the resort, and there is a guide. Just ask the hotel to help you decide what you want to eat. Their service was so-so (because in the middle of nowhere, they refused to let me check out an extra hour late), but they were very smart in ordering meals. If you tell them any requirements, they will notify the restaurant, such as you may arrive late, or you may have an allergic reaction to something you ate. They will definitely help you convey it. The suite hotel has its own breakfast, which is very simple, but you can go to the lounge all day. The lounge is different from the domestic one, there is no food, just a few cheeses and dried fruits, but there is champagne. The breakfast coffee is good, but the lounge coffee is terrible. In short, the most worthwhile thing is the spacious room with a swimming pool where you can swim freely and can lie down for 5 people, delicious dinner pork and beef, wine, emerald sea, a relaxed mood on rainy days, a breeze that is not too cold, an empty pier on the beach, a small beach named after me (I made it up myself), and friendly passers-by. The most unhappy thing is that the resort is being renovated and building a building, which is very noisy during the day and the hotel is not embarrassed at all. I learned a skill to deal with complaints, tell the guests, sorry, I can't do anything. The more I think about it, the angrier I get. The room is big and can accommodate five people, but it is a quiet resort with few guests, so five people may not fit into one room. Anyway, the service in Japan is very strict."

"Stayed in the superior room on the sunset side with 2 adults and 1 small person. The interior of the simple beach taste of white, blue and natural wood taste is a good impression. The room is also very clean and easy to use. The pool has a beach and garden, but the Splendid Pool is the most beautiful and the fewest people are comfortable. Breakfast can be selected from 3, so it changes daily. Personally, I recommend Chinese Amber Tower Seafood Porridge. Overall, I would like to use it when I come to Miyakojima again."

"Because I come to Japan for a holiday every year, I can feel the service and thoughtfulness of Japan's top hotels. Therefore, I booked the best and most expensive hotel in Okinawa and the most expensive set - St. Geely. (Valued at around 1 million yen, discounted RMB including tax of nearly 60,000 per night) Ten days before staying at the hotel, the hotel will contact me via email and Ctrip customer service to arrange various service introductions, including exclusive The private butler pick-up and pick-up machine will take you on a tour of Miyako Island and the surrounding islands, taking you on a smooth day at the finest beaches in Japan to enjoy the sun, blue sky and calm sea level windsurfing. Breakfast meals during the stay can be enjoyed in the room. Japanese or Western style is served. Champagne is served by the pool for breakfast. Japanese-style beef rice is selected for Chinese food, and the Japanese rice is delicious with Miyako beef. The dinner restaurant offers seven special restaurants, including Japanese creation, Japanese Teppanyaki, Cantonese cuisine, Little Sheep hot pot, Italian cuisine. Sushi and Japanese izakaya are available. Because I only stayed on the island for two nights, depending on the taste and choice of Japanese creation and Japanese teppanyaki, exquisite cooking and providing a quiet and exclusive dining environment, the intimate service makes you feel distinguished and luxurious. There are three separate master bedrooms on the upper and lower floors. There are two downstairs master bedrooms, one downstairs and two upstairs, which can accommodate three families. However, I am more extravagant. Although the number is not enough, each room sleeps for one night. To make up for the vacancy of the room. The master bedroom has a separate toilet and bath tub, shower and the main bedroom has an open-air bath. The outdoor swimming pool, sauna steaming, open-air bed, subtropical plants and the sea in front of you can truly feel the exclusivity and indulgence. The weather is fine at night, full of stars, bathing in the open-air bath and looking up at the stars, listening to the waves of the waves, very comfortable. There is also a 90-minute Japanese-style spa every night, so you can relax and be relaxed. A variety of snacks and cold drinks are available in the room, just take a bag. The three-day and two-night trip to Miyako Island made me feel very deep. Some friends said that it is too extravagant to live in this hotel, but I think money and time are not wasted on good things and feelings. Because the hotel feels so beautiful, so for the first time left a footprint on Ctrip, the text is rough and please advise. Finally, it is recommended to recommend this room type to the rich and leisurely local friends [smile] (Note: all consumption in the hotel is included in the room rate)"

"I think choosing this hotel on Miyakojima for my honeymoon was the best choice :) The facilities, programs, and view were all perfect, and I was happy every time I opened my eyes. The room cleaning service and other programs held daily by the hotel itself, such as yoga, bath salt making, and sunset delight (champagne and cocktails provided), are attractive points that make you not bored if you have to stay at the hotel in bad weather! The breakfast was so delicious and the view was so great that I definitely plan to visit again if I go to Miyako again. However, since it is located on Irabu Island, if you plan on moving around Miyakojima a lot or prefer the city, I recommend splitting your stay into several periods!"
