"A truly remarkable stay. We are both kicking ourselves for not staying longer but we will be back for sure. From the shuttle drivers to the restaurant workers to the golf staff, they are a real credit to the company. Kind, helpful, proactive and lovely human beings. For golf lovers, this resort really has it all. Both courses are exceptional and the experience is second to none. You don’t have to worry about a thing as it’s all sorted out for you. The resort itself is second to none with facilities in abundance. The breakfast is a real showstopper. I would recommend booking dinner in advance as we struggled to get into the restaurants due to them being fully booked. Room service was exceptional though. An all round 5 staff experience and we can’t wait to come back"

"Aside from the price, there's nothing wrong with it.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly team and offered welcome drinks. The host then took us on a tour, explaining the various facilities, the restaurants, and the dress code. We were given complimentary rum punch in our room, and coffee and tea were provided free of charge.
Because our flight wasn't until 11 PM, and it was off-season, we asked the front desk, and they gave us a free late checkout until 6 PM. The service was impeccable. If you were wondering around the hotel, a staff member would come and ask if you needed any assistance.
The only downside was that it was winter, and the wind was strong, so many sea activities were canceled. However, this didn't affect the beautiful scenery at all. In the morning, we were treated to a stunning sunrise."

"The hotel is wonderful from the first second of your stay in it. Beautiful, large rooms, all with a sea view. 5 m to the sea. And what villas. You should definitely stay there if you are not alone. The territory is very green, large for walking. Several restaurants to choose from. Very tasty breakfasts. A large selection of dishes. Of course, the hotel is created for newlyweds and couples. It is boring there alone.
I would return to this hotel, but not alone!!!
The service staff is very customer-oriented. Everyone is very friendly. I especially want to note the employee Amala. He showed everything, told me everything, helped.

"I would recommend this hotel. The staff are incredibly attentive, which is really pleasant. I spent a week in a room with a private pool, and it was absolutely fantastic. The hotel restaurant is very good, and the breakfast is super comprehensive with plenty of choices.
The spa is also very good.
It's a shame the gym isn't more visible, though."

"The Oberoi Mauritius has been by far the best hotel that we have stayed, this comment is made based on traveling across the world and not limited to travels in Mauritius.
The staff paid careful attention to satisfying our every need and personal food requests that were happily accommodated by the hotel’s chef. Having fallen ill while traveling, the hotel doctor was readily available for a consult and prescribed medication within a timely manner.
The visit to the spa was relaxing and all rooms were well-maintained. The therapist was able to provide treatments on our individual needs.
The room was beautifully decorated with a private pool and garden, this meant that we were lucky enough to have our breakfast with a magnificent sea view🌊.
Overall a true five star ⭐️ hotel that delivers an exceptional experience to its guests.

"Amazing stay at Salt of Palmar!!!
Boutique, 16+ Hotel located on the east side of the island, on the first line. Great beach with amazing sunrises. Lots of sea activities are included with your stay.
Quiet, spacious rooms. Great spa.
Curated menu in the restaurant and opportunity to book a special dinner with a chef. Great wine and international cocktail selection.

"Let's talk about it from a few conveniences
Facilities: three restaurants, two swimming pools, one of which is heated. The breakfast in the main restaurant is quite exquisite, and the food I ate for three days has not changed. The floating restaurant for dinner is very interesting and tastes good. It's just a little cold (it was winter when I went there). The spa is good and worth experiencing. I didn't try golf and shooting. It's a pity that there is no snorkeling activity.
Sanitation: Very good, your room can be cleaned twice a day, and you will be asked at 7 o'clock in the evening if you want to tidy up the room and send you more water. Very good.
Environment: This is too cozy to say.
Service: This is very good, much better than the five-star hotels in the island cities in China, probably because of the enthusiasm of Africans.
If you have to say the disadvantages, the hotel is very good, but it is a little old. The creaking sound of the floor in the room is very loud, and I am worried about waking up my companions when I get up at night."

"Compare to Lux Belle Mare and Lux Grand Baie, Lux le morne is a disappointment in terms of service level. The structure of the buildings look nostalgic but it’s well maintained. The level of hygiene seems to be high. I love the beach which has the best on the island. But it is a shame they couldn’t utilise this. If you imagine the other two lux hotels I mentioned above are for Waitrose and harrods sippers then this le morne hotel is for Tesco shoppers.
They made mistakes in billing and quality of drinks is mediocre. I can do better at home."

On arrival the hotel is really beautiful - a small oasis tucked away with gorgeous colonial style. The reception staff were really lovely and made us feel welcome.
The room was really nice - but there were a few things we noticed (which we let slide at the start) - massive dirty lipstick mark on one of our water glasses, filthy lampshades above the bathroom sinks, bed linen that didn’t feel particularly fresh and the robes as well had a slight greyish colour rather than bright white which they were meant to be. These were all minor things at the start which we didn’t even mention to each other but did notice.
We then had our first night at the cocktail bar where our drink was served by the lovely barman (very polite and smily) - as we were drinking we saw a huge rat run across the terrace - we decided it was an island and maybe this is normal (although we really weren’t happy about it). We then were dining within the restaurant and again a huge rat was running towards the table. For us, this is not ok. We asked to move tables as we saw a rat and the waiters barely acknowledged it - didn’t offer any apology and then proceeded to avoid our table for the rest of the night. We informed the manager the next day who assured us he was aware and the rat had been caught, and to “give it a chance”. We weren’t offered so much as a complimentary drink. After dining in the restaurant again the second night and again seeing a rat - for us it was time to check out. Not only is it unpleasant seeing rodents running around while eating but I would say it’s a hygiene issue and makes me question the cleanliness of the kitchen and the safety of the food.
The only concession we were offered was to not pay for the remaining nights that we would not be staying for.
Really disappointing. On hindsight some things we would add about the whole experience:
- Not a 5 star in terms of food, service or cleanliness
- Staff really hit and miss - some very friendly some really rude and unhelpful
- Rooms didn’t feel clean
- Food was average - nothing felt fresh including breakfast
- Quite stingey with water - water not replaced within our room (had to ask for it)
We are now staying at a different hotel and haven’t seen one rat, so don’t think this is “just an island thing” as the manager stated. The service and food are also worlds apart which has really solidified that our review of 20 degres sud as completely justified - not a 5 star experience whatsoever.

The resort is a beach front property with a lot of activities. This property is amazing and you won’t go wrong by choosing it. Yusef , Cintia, Karim, Sharonne, Paul, and many more of the staff ( I’m bad with names) , will attend to all your needs.

GGuest UserThe hotel lobby is absolutely stunning. The hotel offers many complimentary activities like pedal boats, paddleboarding, and snorkeling; for snorkeling and the glass-bottom boat tour, I highly recommend booking early.
Breakfast was average. We had lunch at the Wave restaurant, but the taste was nothing special. If the price difference isn't substantial, I'd recommend sticking to a breakfast-only booking, as the hotel's other dining options are pretty unremarkable.
During this weather, the north side experiences calmer waters, but activities such as helicopter tours to the waterfalls, the zoo, and boat excursions are all concentrated in the south and southwest. If you have ample time, I'd suggest staying at least two different hotels.

111wx11The room facilities are relatively old, the Chopsticks restaurant is absolutely terrible, the service is satisfactory, the swimming pool is not bad, especially the adult swimming pool is very beautiful, the hotel is a good place to watch the sunrise!

MM252981****The room was just so-so, and the bed sheets had stains. The marble floor hadn't been cleaned at all; when I wiped it with toilet paper, it was covered in dirt. The bathroom sink was spotted with something, like small pockmarks. The sofa on the balcony had a layer of yellow mud on it; definitely don't sit on it unless you lay down a towel first. However, the sunset was really beautiful when the weather was good.

The swimming pool in the room faces the sea and the scenery is beautiful. The room is very large with 2 bedrooms, and the 2 of us have never been to one of the houses. The scenery of the hotel is very good, few people are very clean, and the service is very good. Because I am not used to eating, I chose buffet for dinner for a few days, which is not bad. The hotel has an exclusive beach on the opposite side of Kashima, and it is very convenient to have a car and boat transfer. The hotel has a beautiful golf course, and the novice Xiaobai played for a while at the driving range for free, which felt good. Overall very satisfied, recommended
