Absolutely fantastic place. The staff are amazing & so helpful. Food was spectacular, menu is small but that makes choosing so much easier.
Will definitely be back
Breakfast and dinner buffets have a wide choice of dishes, so you won't get tired of eating every day. The room was bigger than I expected. The location was very convenient and nice. It was a cheap hotel to spend.
Free parking, good location. Has indoor pool and gym which we didn't have time to try. 2 soft double beds with 2 pillows per person. Coffee, tea making with fridge
Slightly tired with some maintenance due.
Too many emails (I think 9 in total) re the stay. When on holiday I don't want 9 extra emails!.
Staff great, rooms really good and quiet considering the location.
It would be good to get all the Sky TV channels for the amount charged. I.e it was missing Channel 7,17,21 etc.
Despite being on a busy road the set back location of room meant it was quiet.
The room and amenities were comfortable and clean. Pleasant garden area at the rear of the property.
The Holiday Park is very well located on the access road to Russel. However, you still have to drive 5 minutes to the town. Russel itself is a great little town that also offers beautiful beaches.
The Holiday Park has a pool and several outdoor seating areas which are nice. Some of the cabins also have outdoor seating with a table and a lounge area.
The cabins became unbearably hot throughout the day. It was only in the evening that the air in there was bearable. Ventilation was difficult because there was no draft. The fan didn't help much either.
The other facilities such as the kitchen, indoor common area and bathroom are a bit old and need a little more attention. You shouldn't expect too much there. But the basic equipment is there.
Since the accommodation relies on tank water supply, we had an incident where we had no water for 2-3 hours until we informed the owners.
The internet is limited to 500MB per device per day, which bothered us a bit. The park wants to make additional money here and sells data passes.
This is on the way there. When we arrived we meet friendly staff and a nice clean setting, the room was spacious and a fabulous view of the marina, not to forget the tutukaka Twilight market with great atmosphere and sounds. It was a Hot day so unfortunately when we got back to our room that also was very hot and there was no air conditioning we did have great stacker windows and a fan in the ceiling but it was no match for the warmth we had that day. So going to the premises outdoor swimming pool seems like the logical thing to do upon arriving we found a great pool salt water chlorine and a beautiful Pahutakawa just waiting to burst into flower. Couldn’t put to put much wrong with this place I would guarantee it to friends thanks guys, great stay
Andy is such a great host! He gave us amazing tips for restaurant and attractions, the breakfast was huge and vary and all rooms big and cleant. Thanks a lot for our lovely staying!

Very Good
The staff are friendly and friendly, the environment is quiet and comfortable, and the Intercity bus station is only a two-minute walk away, which is very convenient. Close to the tourist pier and information center
This hotel was amazing and we really enjoyed the location to everything aswell as the customer service right up to the manager as girls who have lived in auckland and experienced hotels there this place has immaculate care for their customers within their space we also enjoyed the body wash that smelt so beautiful we are going to get some of that also we are truly greatful thank you.
From the moment we arrived, we realized we made a great choice. It's very obvious that the owners / hosts invested a bit to keep up very high standards. What a great place for all kinds of getaways, from singles to families. Everything is just perfect, and Norma and her hubby are very hospitable hosts. We'll definitely consider visiting in the future.
We spent 2 nights recently and found everything to be excellent. The room and location was beyond our expectations. We had room service and breakfast in the restaurant. The food was excellent. A truly enjoyable experience.
The hotel is well located with plenty of parking available, which made our stay convenient. It is close to Paihia Wharf, local restaurants, and a supermarket, so getting around on foot was easy. The room was clean and spacious, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. There were a few minor issues during our stay. The shower area was not well enclosed, causing water to splash onto the bathroom floor, and the bathroom fan was quite noisy.
A good place to break one's journey from Paihia via opinoni and waipoura forests back to Auckland. Dargaville is a small town with several Asian restaurants (recommend Suphan Thai in town) and a Woolworth's. This motel is located in the suburbs - a quiet and peaceful area away from traffic. Was surprised that the unit came with a kitchen (stove, fridge microwave oven) even though the room description only mentioned a LCD TV. WiFi was functional but slower than other places. Bedding was good. We couldn't find a hairdryer in the room.
Stayed for 2 nights with wife and 8 year old son. The staff was super kind and welcoming. Our suite had amazing wraparound views of the bay. Parking spot was free and right next to our suite. WiFi was a bit spotty. Comfy bed. Walk to the beach was 10 min. Wonderful cafe in 2-3 min walk. The town was beautiful as well. Short drive north to the hot water beach was fun. I really liked this place. We made sure to clean up and do our dishes as note said extra fee if you left dirty dishes. Would highly recommend.
Situated only a few minutes walk to the centre made this a very good choice to stay in. The room was of a good size and had a small kitchen area with all the essentials needed.
