As the car enters through the entrance flanked by rows of bamboo, a sense of understated luxury becomes apparent, and I feel I've made the right choice. The most striking feature of the lobby is the large glass wall that reveals the natural greenery outside, full of Zen, making the check-in experience here, with the air filled with the scent of bergamot and lazy chansons playing in the background, absolutely chill & chic. The hotel also has its own small garden, where sitting with a hot cup of tea, leaning against the green bamboo, lounging on a deck chair, and looking up at the skyscrapers and sky is simply comfortable. The hotel rooms are quite spacious, with a modern Chinese style, and the view outside the window is the bustling traffic on Yan'an Elevated Road. I took a glance at the swimming pool and gym, and the facilities are very good, with no one using them. Breakfast is served on the second floor at PHENIX, a Black Pearl French restaurant, which is not crowded. Breakfast is semi-buffet style, with a menu available for individual orders, or you can help yourself in a comfortable environment. There aren't many items on display, but the quality is good. The absolute best thing is their homemade yogurt, served in small glass jars on ice. I took one and drizzled it with honey, and it was amazing! The rich milky aroma and the creamy, smooth texture were almost identical to the honey yogurt I had in Greece.
