"I booked two rooms with induction cooktops, which was very convenient. I felt like it could even accommodate five or six people at most (just exaggerating, haha!). It's only one or two kilometers from the city center, perfect for a city walk. The lady at the front desk was very beautiful; I wonder if she was Indian. The gym facilities and washing machine are great for families!"

"We enjoyed our stay at Iconic Regency Service Residence. The place is very clean, and the front desk staff were very polite and responded quickly to all our enquiries. The room service cleaners were also polite and well-trained.
The gym and swimming pool on Level 42 have great views, and my kids had a lot of fun at the swimming pool.
The only feedback is that the car park design may not be very convenient, as there are many circular turns and some areas are quite narrow, especially for bigger cars. It really tests the driver’s driving skills.
Overall, everything was good. If there is no traffic jam, it takes less than 30 minutes to drive to George Town."

GGuest UserRegarding the facilities, I need to pay by my own self for the car parking service. They are charging RM 24 per day and I am staying for 4 days 3 nights. Do you think how much I need to pay for the car parking which they never stated that visitors or customers need to paying by ourselves. I hope that in the future, please stated very clearly that we need to paying by ourselves without inform us.

GGuest UserWe were able to check in as soon as we arrived at 12 PM. The location is excellent, with great shopping malls nearby, and it's not far from Shantou Street. The room facilities aren't brand new, but they were clean and tidy. The overall room service was quite good. We stayed for four nights and it seems we even got upgraded to a sea view room, which offered beautiful sunrise and sunset views. Recommended.

GGuest UserThe room was clean and spacious. The bed was also clean and large. The private pool in the room was clean, as was the toilet and the large, clean bathtub. It was a great stay for families. My room didn't have any Charlie ants. The only downside was the breakfast, which had a limited time slot – only an hour – so it felt rushed to get food. I would definitely repeat my stay.

DDaguluxiaoguluSunway Hotel, recommended by Doubao, truly exceeded my expectations. First and foremost, the service was outstanding. Upon check-in, we were given warm cookies, which immediately won over our travel-weary and hungry hearts. Our luggage was not only brought to our room but also placed exactly where we wanted it, which was incredibly thoughtful. The bottled water provided was in beautiful glass bottles, making the water taste even better. The mini-fridge was stocked with complimentary drinks, replenished daily. The hotel has been renovated; while the bath towels were a bit old, they were very well-maintained. The bed and bedding were incredibly comfortable, and the room was quiet, ensuring we had two very restful nights. Although the pool was small, it was clean. For this price, with such service and a pool, it truly offers excellent value for money. Plus, right downstairs is a local night market – not a touristy one – where you can find authentic char kway teow, longan ice, and fried vermicelli from Wu Zhou Tea Room, all highly recommended!

GGuest UserLovely clean room with air conditioning and proper shower. They also provide you with some bottled water and there was a fridge which is very handy for keeping your drinks cold. In the bathroom, Hand gel, shower gel and shampoo all provided as well.
The hotel is very well situated in Georgetown and you can easily walk to all of the key attractions - such as the Clan Jetties and some of the famous mansions here, as well as going around and seeing the street art.
There’s also a lot of cafes and restaurants nearby which are nice - and the art shop and cafe Journal is just down the street, which is a great place to pop into while exploring the town.
I had the breakfast while staying here and it was very nice - each day they have a rice and noodle dish and you can ask for eggs or an omelette. There was also salad and fruit plus steamed buns and corn pudding - so lots of variety.
One issue to note was noise - the rooms are not the most sound proof, so I could occasionally hear people in the corridor or even one person snoring during the nighttime, which did make sleeping a bit harder.

LLester T WongThe hotel's facilities are exceptional. On a clear day, the sea view is absolutely stunning, with a vast ocean panorama right outside the room window. If the weather is good, you can even catch the sunset.
I gave the facilities five stars because there are two swimming pools: one children's pool with a small slide, and a sky pool more suitable for adults. You can order food by the sky pool, and it's quite good.
Additionally, for families with children, there's a kids' playground with various activities. Children aged five and above can be looked after, allowing adults to go to the gym or do other things, which is a very thoughtful service.
I only gave the hotel's location and cleanliness three stars. The location is quiet but there's nothing else nearby. Typically, beachfront hotels are closer to night markets, especially this one which is quite secluded. The hotel does offer a shuttle service, but when I enquired, they didn't mention the need for a reservation, and there was only one scheduled trip. I arrived 15 minutes early only to be told I needed a reservation, and by then, it was full. Luckily, a 10-minute taxi ride still works.
Regarding cleanliness, the room attendant didn't clean properly. Leftover takeout food was still in the room, which was quite disappointing.

AAngelo_007This hotel is an excellent introduction to Penang as it was for me on my first day in town exploring and getting to know the main city area. Close to downtown center the hotel provides an ideal location for explorers who want to be close to all the major sites Penang has to offer. In the immediate area is George Town with venues including the Clan Jetties, UNESCO heritage sites, Armenian Street and a vast array of street art all worth stopping to visit.
The hotel itself is clean and tidy with helpful and friendly staff who went out of their way to help accommodate me upon my early arrival (holding my luggage until check in time). The room was comfortable and for amenities there was an onsite laundry room that helped ensured traveler like me had the opportunity to refresh their baggage for the next adventures ahead.
As a heads up to future travelers: the hotel is located near some stunning mosques that although were great to visit, do have prayer sessions throughout the day and night which all hotel travelers can clearly hear in their rooms. Not recommended for light sleepers or anyone who minds the sound. Overall the hotel was a great place to start my Penang stay and exploration.
