"Lovely stay at this hotel. The room was very big and comfortable, although the walls are a little thin so can clearly hear people talking. For pet owners: note that the Laomendong pedestrian street is not pet friendly (even though there was no sign at the street that we walked through) but the area behind the hotel was lovely and quiet and great to walk the dog. We could also walk past the old city walls which was beautiful. Parking is nearby and quite convenient."

Service: The service was very thoughtful. I basically didn't have to ask for anything, which was great.
Environment: The hotel facilities all seemed quite new. There's a street in front that reminds me a lot of Pingjiang Road, but with fewer people. Both the hotel itself and the entrance are great for photos.
Hygiene: We were recommended by friends who mentioned the hygiene was good, and it really was excellent.

The tatami-style bed is lowered in height and matched with low-saturation gray wall cloth, like a cocoon wrapped in tenderness. I lie on the bed and instruct Xiao Ai to turn on and off the air conditioner and lights. The room becomes warm in a short while. "The inn's location is fantastic, directly across from the Lion Grove Garden, and very close to the Humble Administrator's Garden and Suzhou Museum, making sightseeing incredibly convenient! I had originally booked the smallest room in the inn. When I arrived, I asked the owner if a free upgrade was possible, as many guests had mentioned being upgraded. Without a second thought, the owner immediately upgraded me to the largest room—the service was truly exceptional! The room decor was beautiful, especially the large bed, which perfectly embodies classical Chinese aesthetics. There was also a tatami tea table and a small arhat bed. The front desk even provides a sewing kit for mending clothes, all of which speaks volumes about the owner's excellent service. I'm definitely planning to stay here again on my next trip to Suzhou."

"Self-driving with parents to travel. The hotel's own underground parking lot is very spacious and convenient. The location of the hotel is relatively close to various scenic spots. "This hotel was such a pleasant surprise during my trip to Yangzhou! The room design was very tasteful; the semi-sheer curtains filtered the natural light softly, and sitting on the lounge chair by the window, gazing at the scenery outside, I felt completely relaxed. The bedding was so soft and comfortable, and the warm lighting by the bedside created a wonderful ambiance. The bathroom was clean and tidy, and the smart toilet and neatly arranged towels were a big plus. There's also a small courtyard on the first floor where you can relax and eat—very cozy! The location is very close to Heyuan Garden and Dongguan Street; after shopping, staying here offered a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Yangzhou—it's amazing!!!"

"This 'inn' left a fantastic impression! It’s a peaceful oasis tucked away in a bustling area. As soon as you step inside, it's like a new picturesque scene unfolds with every turn—small, exquisite, and charming. Walk out the main gate for just a minute, and you're on Pingjiang Road, surrounded by lively streets and endless local snacks. It's also very close to the Humble Administrator's Garden, Suzhou Museum, and Lion Grove Garden, all within walking distance. Yet, once you enter the inn, it feels like a different world—quiet, serene, with not a single sound of commotion. The owner and staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. They gave detailed explanations when we asked about tourist attractions, and it was so heartwarming that they greeted us every time we came in. Although the room facilities aren't brand new, they were clean and tidy, and there was even a special tea-drinking area. We felt very comfortable and relaxed during our two-day stay. "The hotel is located near Pozi Street, which is a commercial area. Unfortunately, there was construction going on in front of the hotel when I arrived, so it was a bit noisy during the day. However, my room was on the other side, so I couldn't hear it. The room itself exceeded my expectations – it was incredibly spacious, very clean and tidy, with a well-thought-out layout, and even had a smart assistant. Breakfast, on the other hand, was quite average, mostly consisting of frozen steamed buns with limited variety. Also, transportation isn't very convenient. It's a bit of a distance from Taizhou Old Street, Taoyuan, and Liuyuan. Since Taizhou doesn't have a subway, you need to walk a bit to get to the nearest bus stop. Despite that, it offers good value for money. The front desk staff were also very friendly and helpful."

GGuest UserI booked Hanyuan because it is within walking distance to my folks home. And my grandma used to work at Nanjing Agricultural University, which the hotel is affiliated with. I read others’ reviews and knew it is an old facility. I did not have unrealistic expectations.
We arrived late at night. Taxi driver dropped us off at the side entrance that has numerous stairs to the door. We had lots of luggage. As we got out of the cab, we saw some staff member in the lobby looking out. Instead of coming out to help us, he walked away. My husband, myself and our seven year old all carried/dragged multiple items up the stairs to get into the hotel lobby.
We checked in and decided that we would need to add a bed for the kid. House keeping came quickly to set up the bed but was reluctant to provide pillows for the additional bed. I had to repeatedly ask before they agreed to bring an extra pillow. Don’t understand why there is such resistance to equip the additional bed with pillow- after all, we did pay for the additional bed.
Everything else was pretty good during our first three-day-stay. We then went away to visit families elsewhere for a week before coming back to this hotel.
This time, our car drove onto the ramp at the front entrance. As soon as we entered the building, lobby manager came to offer us help. He helped us deliver luggage to our room. We are very appreciative of his assistance.
We ran into some issues at the front desk this time. They asked for our passports again and took our pictures for a second time. When I mentioned that we were just here a week ago and all information was taken already, we were told that all information has been erased as we checked out. When we checked in/out the first time, we informed front desk that we were making the hotel our base camp and will be coming in and out a few times. It’s strange that they would delete our information and redo everything all over again.
Again we need to add a bed. House keeping brought a roller bed which has a stained mattress pad. I asked them to bring a clean one, they said they could not. They said they didn’t have any clean pads. They said the only option is to remove the pad and put the sheets directly on the mattress. They further suggested that since the sheet is clean, dirty pad doesn’t matter and that every mattress pad under bed sheets has urine stains. His words made my stomach turn but I was too tired to fight so they went ahead put sheets on top of the mattress pad that has a big yellow stain. Again I asked for pillows for the additional bed, they refused at first, upon my insistence, they agreed to bring pillows. They also took out a blanket from the cabinets under television and put it on the bed.
When the seven year old was ready for bed, I opened the blanket and realized it’s cover is dirty. It’s dusty and has multiple stings of hair on it. I called house keeping, a lady quickly bought over a clean duvet cover for the blanket but refused to take away the dirty one. She insisted that we keep the dirty duvet in the closet. I did not understand her rationale but there isn’t anything I can do. So that dirty duvet cover stayed in the closet.
Maybe I should not have come back to this hotel.

Check-in Experience
We arrived early at around 6 AM due to the difficulty of booking train tickets during the holiday season. Although check-in was at 3 PM, the staff kindly accommodated us with an early check-in for an additional fee.
Accommodation
We stayed in two types of rooms during our visit:
Single Room - Spacious and located in a peaceful, quiet area of the property.
RV Room - Situated near the camping area where families and friends gather around a large bonfire for singing, BBQ, and games.
**Ratings**
Staff: 8/10 - Friendly and accommodating throughout our stay.
Shuttle Service: 10/10 - The driver was exceptionally pleasant and always smiling. Since my daughter has asthma and walking long distances is difficult for her, we frequently requested shuttle service between locations. This was especially helpful as ride-share drivers typically drop off at the entrance, which is quite a walk from the rooms and facilities.
Breakfast: 10/10 - Excellent variety of traditional Chinese dishes. They were accommodating when my husband requested takeout.
Cleanliness: 10/10 - Both rooms were clean, including the beds, towels, and bathrooms. As my daughter’s asthma is triggered by dust, I was pleased that the rooms were clean enough that she didn’t experience any sneezing or symptoms. We all slept well for the entire five days.
**Things to Consider**
It’s highly recommended to have your own car, as the property is quite far from the city center.
If you enjoy nature and outdoor activities, this place is ideal. Activities include:
- ATV rides
- Fishing area
- Playground (note: adults are charged rather than children, so it’s more economical for only one adult to enter)
- Small animal area featuring rabbits, ostriches, and llamas (15 RMB entry)
- Train ride (30 RMB)
The coffee shop has a wonderful atmosphere and aesthetic appeal, making it popular for photos. The property itself is spacious and perfect for leisurely walks. There’s also a temple nearby, approximately 20 minutes away by car.
**Challenges We Faced**
My daughter developed a fever and experienced diarrhea during our stay. When I called the front desk for help, the staff member wasn’t very accommodating and suggested my husband go buy medicine. This was difficult for us as foreigners who don’t speak the language well. I felt sad and helpless, especially when we couldn’t get any taxis or cabs to pick us up. We wanted to take her to the hospital, but no cabs were available.
However, the next morning, a staff member spoke with me who was extremely kind and accommodating. They even offered to drive my daughter to the hospital, which I declined because we needed to catch our train and she was feeling better after taking medicine. They drove us to the South Railway Station and thoughtfully gave my daughter bags and drinks. It was a very kind gesture that we truly appreciated.

The hotel 🏨 is conveniently located right on Pingjiang Road. After checking in, you also get two complimentary tickets to a Pingtan teahouse 🆓. Last time, we had a king-size room, and this time we got a twin room. There's even a rocking chair in the room that my sister found so comfortable she didn't want to go out sightseeing! The hotel 🏨 room rate includes breakfast, and both the braised pork noodles and braised beef noodles were delicious. After breakfast, we took a nice stroll along Pingjiang Road!

YYunbaoxuanzhugaoyihanThe first time I lived in Taoist Temple, it was very fresh. Yi Daochang was very patient and attentive. He gave us guidance all the way. We bought tickets from the station (guests can enjoy the preferential price of 80 yuan ／ people including tour bus during the stay, great value) and went through the relevant procedures. Take the car to the top palace. According to the guidance of Yidao Chang, I quickly found the check-in room. After I checked in, the selected room was the only photography room that could open the door and see the mountain. Due to the recent rain in Changzhou, when I came, I caught up with the time period of the cloudy mountain and the fairy air floating on the mountain. The cloud mountain mist has a feeling of being in a fairyland. Although the visibility is not high, it has a flavor. We booked a meal of 150 per person a day in advance. Four dishes and one soup. The rice is basically not enough and it is free to continue. We ate Maoshan's famous goose meat and steamed salmon. Two vegetarian dishes are a large bowl (small basin) of seaweed egg soup. We ate very delicious. It feels very good. After eating at about 7:30, Yidao Chang also arranged a night tour for us. The cultural history is floating in a fairy spirit. It really feels like being in a fairyland (remind everyone that the temperature on the mountain is generally lower than the mountain, and you must bring warm clothes or you will catch a cold). We also booked the head incense at 12 o'clock in the evening in advance. This is a benefit that accommodation customers can enjoy. It is really superb and the price is super high.
The next day we also drank the highest altitude coffee in Jiangsu Province, with plain noodles, and it felt really good.
I took a few photos of good visibility before checking out. I really recommend everyone to have the opportunity to experience it. It feels super good. We will come again next time.

The hotel's location is superb, just a 2-minute walk to Nanchan Temple Metro Station, making it super convenient for getting around and sightseeing. The room was clean and tidy, and the value for money is outstanding. Highly recommend!

KkohHeRThis hotel is perfect for history buffs! It's right on Changjiang Road, just a few minutes' walk from the Presidential Palace and the Six Dynasties Museum. You'll find centuries of history stacked up on one street. Nanjing Museum is a quick subway ride away, and the Republican Era exhibit is definitely worth exploring. The Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum scenic area is a short 10-15 minute taxi ride, and walking through the Stone Elephant Road at Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum is truly impressive. I also visited the Imperial Examination Museum at Confucius Temple and explored the charming old streets of Laomendong and Laocheng Nan. After a day of sightseeing, it was great to come back to a room with large windows and plenty of light. The smart home features were a nice touch, and the AC was refreshingly cool. The shower had instant hot water, which was perfect for unwinding. The room was very clean, and the bedding was comfortable and odorless. Service was excellent, and the front desk staff were very friendly. Plus, the snacks at Hongmiao were all delicious!
