2-Star Hotels in Hong Kong, China

As I was staying for 4 nights, I was given a room which has common ammenities like a set of washing machine and dryer (which might be used to cleanup the other rooms' bedsheets after they have checked out). Room is small (no choice due to space constraints in Hong Kong). Other than the building which looks old and scary when you arrive back at the area at night, the flat / room is well-lit and looks very new. No cockroaches at the room I was given (as mentioned by some reviews) but there were a few ants here and there and I guess unavoidable due to it being a relatively old building. Most importantly, best to have a wechat acc, so you can communicate with the owner easily.

The location is right at the center. Room is about 7 square meters, very small. You cannot borrow the iron if you want to iron your clothes. If you come late for check in at night, you cannot go inside the building because nobody opens the door for you. The safety guard downstair does not work for the hostel, he doesn’t know who you are and he cannot speak English. You have to go up to 15th floor to check in. The room smells bad. Every day I saw a baby cockroach crawling on the floor and I don't know where it came from. The light in the toilet was flickering and on the 3rd day it fell off the ceiling. The staff was friendly but they only spoke Chinese.

Location is convenient. I was a little skeptical of the place at first being it's my first time booking at hostel or homestay. The crowd downstairs was a little overwhelming as they will try to get your attention to book or stay at their place. The lady who greeted us was all smiles. The first room they assigned us didn't have a window and she was kind enough to let us move to another room with one.

The place is comparatively spacious than most Hong Kong hostels. The place is clean and well-maintained. They have a digital door lock for security. They do housekeeping every day, cleaning the room, setting up the beds, and providing change of towels and toilet paper. Location-wise, they are also very near TST station, restaurants, and grocery stores, which is very convenient. I would highly recommend this place!

When the front desk is not staffed, you need to enter and exit using the keypad. The room was opened in January 2025 and was very clean, but it was not very user-friendly. There was no curtain between the shower and toilet, and the sink was small. I was satisfied with the location and the night view from the bed. There are many delicious restaurants in the area.

Environment: In the central area of ​​Mong Kok, it is very convenient to go anywhere. The subway station is right next to it. Popular attractions can basically be reached in 10-20 minutes. The room is very clean and tidy, and the bed is not dirty. It's very good! Service: When we arrived, we called the sister at the front desk very early to store our luggage. The attitude was very good! Later, when we checked in, the triple room was not booked, so the boss upgraded us to a triple room and asked us to contact him if we needed help. I feel that the person in charge of the hotel is very good! I am very happy to stay Facilities: The facilities are also very complete! Very convenient! I will continue to live here when I come to Hong Kong again!

The guy at the front desk was very nice and polite, with a good attitude. He smiled and patiently told us the precautions step by step. This step is much better than a certain hotel. The hygiene is better, very clean, the windows are very soundproof, and I slept very well. The bathroom is a little shabby, but the price is already very good, the cost performance is very high, I will still book this hotel next time.

The housekeeping opened my door while do not disturb was posted. She yanked my bedcover off me while no decent and gave it to another guest. The same housekeeper cut her finger on the sharp edge of the door and blamed me. The police were notified and the owner was ordered to give a refund for days paid for but not honored. Dirty rags, exposed wires, and construction worker blood all over floor hallway and room. Still no refund. They are hostile to foreigners.

The room is located along Nathan Road. Near to MTR Mongkok Station and bus stops. The hostel is inside a commercial building and located in 11th floor. Safe because the building is well-lit and no queue on the elevator. The hostel is also safe, there is a security lock not only in your room but at the entrance of the hostel so only guests and staff are allowed to enter. The room is very clean and complete with all the basic things you 'll need like very cold aircon, hot and cold shower, toiletries, slippers, kettle with cups and built-in electric sockets (no need to buy adaptor).
