The staff is very sweet and welcoming. The location is also very close to the station. The capsule is just perfect it has dim lights, charging ports, do not disturb signs and it’s super clean. The bathrooms have hair dryers, give you health kit. It’s just perfect. However, to store the luggage you need to what’s app them and pay 55 HKD via the link they sent.

I'd say you get what you pay for. Sure, the hotel is crusty and dirty, the linen has stains and the towels do too. But for the money I think it is still okay. The location is really really good and makes up for the bad service and rude staff. At least no mold and the wifi is working perfectly.

I stayed in private rooms at two different hostels in the area and this one was definitely the best. I asked for a room with either two beds or a desk and ended up with a room with two beds and a desk — and windows with a pretty nice city view, too. The two beds in the room were different, one spring and one foam, but both were comfortable, which was a nice change after a very uncomfortable bed at the last place I stayed. Room was surprisingly large and a good deal for the price. Location is very close to subways, buses, as well as Victoria Park and a supermarket. A shower curtain would have been nice, but otherwise bathroom was good and bigger than expected.

This is a pretty decent hotel in Chungking Mansions it's on a block that doesn't get to busy so that's the true positive for this. Because you can exit a lot easier. Clean enough for the building and it's great for your budget. I'd book again next time I'm in Hong Kong.

I recently stayed at your hotel and overall, my experience was satisfactory. The location is convenient, with plenty of dining and shopping options nearby, which I really appreciated. The room was generally clean, but there were a few areas that could use improvement. For instance, the water pressure in the bathroom was a bit low, and the air conditioning was somewhat noisy at times, which affected my rest. I hope these aspects can be enhanced in the future. Thank you for your hospitality, and I will consider staying again.

It's Hong Kong, so for this kind of money you get an equivalent of sleeping in a van or something. This is a type of place where you don't see any staff, there is no reception, and you need WeChat to communicate. No real towels but the disposable ones, so I recommend you bring your own. Public transport right outside, as well as shopping, restaurants etc.

I was here before, and the wifi worked better. This time it was some problems with it.
It has great location. Huge grocery wellcome is just 5 minutes walk. They don't have laundry, but you can find the good one as well for 60 hkd 7 minute walk closer to the shore.
You can ask for towel. Shampoo, hand soap, slippers are for free. There are kitchen on the terrace with fridge, sink, microwave, kettle for use. Tableware and dishes, but they don't have spoons. And there was no napkins for some time. On the terrace smoking area as well. Beside kettle there is cooler with cold and hot water.
I liked the price most of all as it's the cheapest decent hostel on the expensive Hong Kong island.
It's enough clean. And they do cleaning every day.
The rooms and the sleeping place are enough spacious.
I advice this place.

Location-wise is actually very good. Room is really small about 4m². Had to wait about an hour to get my room and it wasn't even the room I booked I think. Room I booked was block A but I got the one at the reception block instead. It was actually better though smaller since the elevators here are quite horrible. 2 elevators per block, max 7 pax, one only serves odd floors while the other serves even. Each time one direction only. Block A was always queueing while block D was lesser. This room is only good for really short stay(2-4nights).

AAnonymous UserAs I was staying for 4 nights, I was given a room which has common ammenities like a set of washing machine and dryer (which might be used to cleanup the other rooms' bedsheets after they have checked out). Room is small (no choice due to space constraints in Hong Kong). Other than the building which looks old and scary when you arrive back at the area at night, the flat / room is well-lit and looks very new. No cockroaches at the room I was given (as mentioned by some reviews) but there were a few ants here and there and I guess unavoidable due to it being a relatively old building. Most importantly, best to have a wechat acc, so you can communicate with the owner easily.
GGuest UserStaying on 24th May for one night. All are self-service that you have to contact staff via WhatsApp or WeChat. They will send you a door code and room number then.
Strong points: location, quiet, reasonable price, amenities in room
TTerry18Very good, very bright! ! !
Unbeatable sea view, not scary at all! ! !
The big fishballs in Cheung Chau are delicious🤤🤤🤤
Very comfortable stay, however no slippers no toothbrush
AAnonymous UserThe lady there is super nice - great hostess and such a warm person! Facilities were decent, there is a TV and they provide toothbrush, towel albeit things were kinda old and run down. Nicely sized room and bed. Blanket is just a thin cover though, there is no duvet. Everything seemed clean EXCEPT the floors had dirt and dust, so I had to wear shoes inside the room.
AAcir14Im not really satisfied...The shower heater not working properly..and the smell of the aircon is not that good and they need to turn off the main switch of the electricity..
JJimmyBedsheet doesn't seem to be changed between customers... pretty bad sound insulation so you will probably wake up at night. Location is very good, close to metro and many landmarks and ferries. Has computer 🖥️, microwave and fridge. People are very friendly, you can make new friends easily. Good option for budget young traveler, other people may find it substandard...
EERIDThe is called a Youth Hostel, though if you are a more mature person looking for a cheap ensuite room to stay in , then this is the place for you. If you have booked a private room you will not be experiencing any type of hostel vibe if you do not wish and will not be disturbed by groups of backpackers. Apart from check in, you will get the elevator straight to your floor view it just as a cheap hotel.
If you are a backpacker looking for a cheap and convenient place to stay , then this is for you. If you are the type of backpacker who is looking for the upbeat, energetic vibe, this is not one of those places…though there are posters up related to pub crawls, activities and tours.
There is a small common area in the receptions area with a small kitchen corner, some books and games.
Several reviews have commented on small beds: ordinary people live in very cramped conditions in HK and furniture sizes reflect this so beds are unlikely to be comfortable for tall people as budget accommodation is unlikely to pay extra to purchase atypical bed sizes.
Hong Kong is always ranked within the top 2 of the cities with high cost of living. This is a very good bargain for Hong Kong. I stayed in a private ensuite room and in the past I have paid more for less, both in HK and elsewhere. I am going to San Franscisco soon and am paying the same price for less nights and a shared bathroom.
GGuest UserHotel itself was great, it was cleaned everyday and shampoo and shower gel were provided. It was small, but it is a standard for Hong Kong, so don't bring a huge luggage. What was the biggest disadvantage was the building hotel is located in. It's very old and sketchy, and during our one week stay elevator did not work for most of the time. There are also lots of sketchy and suspicious people coming in and out of the building, so I would strongly recommend to not stay there if you're a solo female traveller. Choose a different area, because as a female I didn't feel safe in this location. But hotel itself has nothing to do with it, so if you're a man or a couple - you should be fine.
