Very good ~ check-in was quick! The waiter's attitude is kind. It's just a little bit different. But the price/performance ratio is excellent.

In general the environment is good and has improvements like the outfit. It is great if they can do some refurbishment. The only bad experience is that somebody was doing the vacuum cleaning at 9:00am in the morning. At the same time, can here the water flowing though the pipe tube. It would be great if they can do some improvement in these.

I was in HK for the first time and split my stay into 2 nights in Kowloon, 1 night in Macau, and then 3 nights on HK island. Honestly, this hotel impressed me the most. Let’s get the bad points out of the way first. This hotel is a small hotel on a building that leases their floors/units/spaces to other businesses, including this hotel and other hotels within the building. There are 3 elevators, 2 of them for passengers, whereby one serves odd numbered floors and the other serves even number floors. The last elevator is for freight when required that serves all floors. This means that sometimes you have to wait an absolutely long time to get back to your room. However, I also visited Chungking Mansion (another similar hotel building), and there it was so much worse so it’s not too bad here. Now to the good points, and there are a lot. The hotel room was actually kind of spacious. It’s not huge, but the area was a square, so you have more than enough room to open a suitcase or do a home workout (I did). The toilet was also spacious. There’s a space for showering, a toilet, and a sink, and you wouldn’t feel like you are squeezed for space. The location of this hotel is also a huge boon. It’s literally the building just beside the metro exit so it is super convenient. You are also on TST MTR station, which means it is super convenient to go anywhere, including crossing to HK island either by MTR or ferry. There is a freaking good Michelin featured shengjian bao shop just downstairs of the hotel, and it was so delicious I ate there so many times I didn’t even have time to try the other delicious looking cafes and restaurants. Service was also pretty good. It’s a pretty mainland China styled hotel. Communication is done through WeChat, with a very friendly and helpful staff who answers promptly. Bed was also very comfortable honestly. For this price, I wish I only stayed at this hotel my entire trip.

I recently stayed at this hostel in Hong Kong and while it offered a budget-friendly option, there were some notable things to consider. The room I stayed in was quite small, with two sets of triple bunk beds. On the first night, I found myself on the top bunk, which was uncomfortably close to the ceiling. It was so low that I couldn’t even sit up properly or bend my legs—thankfully, I’m not claustrophobic. The next day, I was able to switch to a different bed as someone left, which was a relief. The bathroom was very compact but functional, and like the rest of the hostel, everything felt quite narrow. It wasn’t the most spacious experience, but it did the job. On the plus side, this hostel is affordable, and its location is perfect for exploring Hong Kong, being centrally located with easy access to key attractions. Overall, while it may not be the most comfortable place to stay, it’s definitely one of the cheapest options in a prime area.

Good hotel. The room obviously small, but for Hong Kong it’s normal. Room has all that I needed, like sneakers, few clothes racks, adapter for my charger, kettle, water, hair dryer and toothbrush with toothpaste. Room was clean, maybe not perfect in some places, but overall it was good. Noise insulation is not very good, but for me it wasn’t a problem. It was a bit cold in room, when weather was below 15 degrees. On the other side, when I stay shower always had hot water. I’m glad to stay in this hotel, I hadn’t problems at all. It is advisable to have WeChat because when checking in and out I just wrote about it via WeChat, maybe it would have been a problem if I didn't have it.

Lovely stay at Francis hotel with my family. Francis goes above and beyond to support you, the checking in process was smooth and he prepared a room with a window as I was travelling with children. The location is very close to the harbour where you can enjoy Hong Kong's beauty and nightlife, loads of shops, restaurants nearby and being a Muslim family right near to the Kohloon Mosque was amazing. The place is near the station so you can travel to anywhere using the MTR. Thank you Francis for an amazing stay.

+ good location, close to metro, a lot of cafe + clean and new room - very noisy from neighbors and loud music upstairs all nights - horrible smell and appearance before entering in the hotel - disposable towels - high level of humidity in the room, condition have to work all the time - no iron

As I was staying for 4 nights, I was given a room which has common ammenities like a set of washing machine and dryer (which might be used to cleanup the other rooms' bedsheets after they have checked out). Room is small (no choice due to space constraints in Hong Kong). Other than the building which looks old and scary when you arrive back at the area at night, the flat / room is well-lit and looks very new. No cockroaches at the room I was given (as mentioned by some reviews) but there were a few ants here and there and I guess unavoidable due to it being a relatively old building. Most importantly, best to have a wechat acc, so you can communicate with the owner easily.

Excellent location in that it is near alot of shops and restaurants. I liked how it has a place where guests can sit down and tables to do things. I like how it has a kitchen where guests can cook their own food and has filtered water where guests can fill their own bottles. Hotel was very fair about things that you can and cannot do. Room was very spacious considering how limited and small Hong Kong is. I was in room 1003 on the 10th floor. The only bad thing that I had to deal with at this place was this long term stay guests that was probably around his late 50's and early 60's that was behaving irrationally towards me when I was taking a shower by knocking on the door and using swear words saying I was taking too long when I just got in there and started. I only had to wash my hair and face which wasn't too long. It's not like he had to use the shower next after me and it's not his frekkin place. He must be dealing with a lot of personnel problems that's probably driving him nuts and causing him to become crazy and irrational like this. I know he's dealing with health problems because I overheard him talking to one of the workers when I was doing my own thing on my bed and he was talking about some operation he had to go through. I believe his religion was Catholic. Must be stressful for him having to deal with the high cost of living in Hong Kong.

I recently stayed at Kam Mun Guesthouse during my trip to Hong Kong, and it was a fantastic experience! The location was incredibly convenient, with easy access to public transportation, restaurants, and popular attractions. The staff were very friendly, accommodating, and made us feel at home throughout our stay. The rooms were clean, cozy, and well-maintained, providing all the essentials we needed. It was also family-friendly, which was important for us as we traveled with our baby. Despite being in a bustling area, the guesthouse offered a peaceful and comfortable environment. Overall, Kam Mun Guesthouse is a great choice for travelers looking for affordable yet high-quality accommodations in Hong Kong. I highly recommend it and would definitely stay here again on our next visit!
