"This hotel boasts a fantastic location on a high hill with breathtaking views, tucked away from noisy roads and streets. The staff are wonderful and attentive, and the rooms are perfectly clean and cozy. The view from the terrace is simply stunning! A special shout-out to the chef – the food is incredibly delicious! We tried the curry, a fish dish, and Kottu, and everything was so tasty with beautiful, restaurant-quality presentation. They even ask and accommodate your spice preferences. The homemade sauces and mango chutney were the best we've ever had anywhere. The maître d' is super positive – big thumbs up to them! They're so helpful and really brighten your day with their energy and good mood. Being around people like that truly helps you relax and unwind! There's a pool, fresh towels, and all the main tourist attractions are nearby (Little Adam's Peak, Nine Arch Bridge, waterfalls). We will definitely be back!"

"Good impressions from the hotel. The room is beautiful, hot water, delicious dinner and breakfast.But, because of the nearby construction, the view from the window is not matched to the photos. But, that does not apply to the hotel."

"Great accommodation! It's a bit far from the center, but they offer to pick you up and take you wherever you need to go. In fact, we had to go to the doctor, and the guy didn't leave our side until everything was sorted. Not to mention the amazing views of Ella from there. They were super friendly from the moment we arrived. Without a doubt, if I return to Ella, I'd stay at this hotel again."

"Perfect Stay in the Heart of Ella! We recently stayed at Bridge Front Inn and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. Everything about this place is excellent. The staff here are incredibly attentive and friendly; they go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. We were greeted with a complimentary freshly made passion fruit juice, which was a delicious way to start our stay. The location is simply ideal — right next to the iconic Nine Arch Bridge, making it super convenient for exploring Ella's main attractions on foot. Although we didn't use their shuttle service because we weren't aware of it when booking, the owner kindly agreed to drive us to a restaurant one evening, showing true hospitality. The food was another highlight, absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. The breakfast buffet deserves a special mention as there is an enormous selection of dishes to choose from. Our room was spotlessly clean with fresh bed linen and brilliantly white towels. Highly recommended!"

"This guesthouse was highly recommended by some friends, and they were right! We arrived on the train from Kandy in the afternoon, and even though we had not informed the owner of this, he was waiting at the train station to pick us up. It was a short drive to the Guesthouse, where we met his wife and daughter, were given tea and made arrangements for a trip the following morning to Lipton's Peak (to watch the sunrise - early start but awesome!) We explained that we are vegan, but this was not a problem, and the lady of the house made us the most amazing dinner, with several curries, rice, drink and dessert. There was a small additional charge for dinner - and I mean small, especially given the quantity and quality of the meal. Delicious! Our room was very nice and clean with a comfortable bed and a nice balcony, where we sat outside and just listened to the night-time nature sounds of Haputale. We also had a private bathroom with lovely shower (bring your own toiletries). We were only staying overnight, to visit Lipton's Seat, after which we had the most AMAZING breakfast (my first time trying coconut sambal, soooo good!) The owner had then arranged for the same driver to take us to Udawalawa, which is 3 hours away, for a reasonable price. If you are visiting Haputale, I highly recommend this guesthouse - lovely family, comfortable accommodation and fantastic food. Thanks"

"As an interim overnight stay, this hotel was a blast of luxury and comfort. It was a bit difficult to find, and is rather isolated, with no immediate facilities or services near by, but the restaurant served very good food (a bit salty). The room was very luxurious, very spacious, with a nice, clean bathroom, and a delightful bay window. The lounge areas were really beautiful and comfortable, with open decks and spacious grassed areas as would be expected of a hotel which started life as a diplomat's residence. It has an intimate and friendly vibe, with staff demonstrating real pride in the establishment where they work. Highly recommend for a honeymoon/intimate weekend/special stop over."

"Keeping in mind this is a 3 star hotel, the positives are the rooms are big with a balcony looking out at amazing views (ours anyway), and the pool is clean and quite big also with amazing views and a concrete elephant water feature!!! The location of the hotel is pretty good too - far enough from other properties to be quiet but close enough to Ella main drag that you can walk in 10-15 minutes or pay a tuk tuk driver double the rate of Colombo to get to and from. The big negative for us was that despite being told upon checking in that the room would be cleaned every day, it was not. And I was told the reason why was that we didn’t hand in our key for it to be done - which seems bizarre after staying in hotels for decades and not being told to or having to hand in a key in order to get a standard daily room clean. The insinuation that it was our fault for not handing in a key (not that we were told to do so on checking in) was extremely irritating. Food was ok but overpriced so we ate elsewhere (lots of options). There were lots of little things in the rooms that could be easily addressed to make them nicer - definitely not having ripped old bath towels, and removing an empty TV bracket from the wall (like a TV used to be there but not anymore - or was it just our room, who knows). All these little things add up to I really think the room rate is too high - but we are here in the high season so maybe that’s just the going rate."
