Delighted to stay at this hotel close to University Campus (though I was not a student). Was an actual hotel from a Spanish hotel chain not a ”B&B” so don't be fooled.
Close proximity to Historical Guimares and castle.
Free coffee 24/7 at lobby.
Staff was informative and helpful.
Building located slightly up the hill with about 15 free parking spaces.
The breakfast staff member (a blonde) was lovely, but the facilities… you had lights that came on whenever they wanted, and it seemed like there were too many light switches, because when you flipped them, nothing turned on or off. The TV remote didn't work either (we managed to turn it off with it in 5 minutes). And even though we asked for a room far from the elevator and they gave us the one right next to the elevator motor, the room and the entire hotel were spotless.
The buffet was good, although the chocolate cake tasted like fish 😬.
I wouldn't pay full price, but I would with the app discounts. My 10 points go to the app, but if I had to rate the hotel… 2/5
The hotel is excellent location. Very central. But the room needs renovation. The room needs painting. The gardens need replacement because they are burns. They provided only one towel per person who had to serve as a face and bath towel.
Hotel very well located for people wishing to go to the Barcelos market (just cross the street)
College to the best restaurant in the city
Correct room with bathroom and WC included
Only bemols
Very tired earliers that would deserve to be changed and unrealistic parking, too narrow with a major risk of hanging up his car

The most important thing — this is not really spa hotel. There is spa center across the road, but the only one benefit that you have as a guest of the hotel is 10% discount. In total if you want to have a spa, you must pay extra 30 euros per person per day. I think its not so fare for guests. And the second thing is that you have only scrambled eggs and bacon as a hot dish for the breakfast.
In the rest moments — everything is fine, staff is friendly, room was clean (but there is no fridge or mini-bar, that strange).
Good service, clean and spacious room.
Breakfast is fairly good

JJoão Aires MartinsÓtima qualidade de serviço, pequeno almoço muito bom, instalações limpas e boas.
Muita simpatia e profissionalismo da equipa presente.
GGuest UserCasa de Santa Comba is absolutely lush. The staff are very relaxed and flexible, having to arrive late was no problem, and they were very accommodating of us at breakfast as were vegetarian and there aren’t many vegetarians in Portugal! They were also very accommodating when we requested a fridge for our wine. The building and surrounding estate is beautiful, with lots of animals around – geese, horses, dogs, swallows, fish in the ponds – and lots of lemon trees bursting with fruit and beautiful flower bushes everywhere. A dreamy place, would love to stay here again. Will miss the bright morning song of the canary in their office which you can hear from the breakfast room!

JJose M O SantosSimply everything was excellent, the room was very generous in size, the room was cleaned and tidied every day of our stay, we also had breakfast every day, and although it was not included and for the price you would think that It would be exaggerated but there is a lot of variety and everything is fresh. We will certainly come back, it was a shame it was rainy.
GGuest UserYa es la tercera ocasión que repetimos. Un alojamiento perfecto por lo fácil que es aparcar y la equidistancia perfecta para visitar diferentes localidades.
