Landed late at night with nowhere else to go, so I stayed here. The environment is really good; the greenery outside the window is very pleasant, and the surroundings are quiet. There were a lot of guests, and the front desk lady was very welcoming. The soundproofing from the upstairs and next-door rooms was excellent. They offer a shuttle service, which is very convenient and safe. The facilities are complete, and everything is clean and hygienic. There's a convenience store not far from the entrance, which is super handy for picking up anything you need.

Good for a transfer flight, you can contact this hotel through internet call from the booking page for free airport transfer, but the receptionist doesn't speak english. The free shuttle will drop many passenger along the way, so prepare longer time around 40 minutes from airport to hotel to use this service. Bathroom is not too clean, but still can be used. Toiletries are provided.

We really loved staying here, but our check-in experience was disappointing.
We arrived at the hotel at 4:00 PM, but the room was not ready, even though the official check-in time is 2:00 PM. The front desk staff informed us that the previous guest had not checked out and her luggage was still in the room. We were annoyed and unhappy, as this delay should not happen, especially when guests arrive well after the standard check-in time. We only managed to get into the room at 5:00 PM, after the hotel resolved the issue.
That said, aside from this early hiccup, the hotel itself is excellent. The location is extremely convenient, with easy access to everything around. The room was very clean, and the smart toilet was a nice and modern touch. Once we were settled in, our stay was comfortable and enjoyable.
Overall, Tian Hua Hotel is an awesome place to stay, and we genuinely enjoyed it. However, the check-in delay should not happen again, as it left a poor first impression.

The service attitude was excellent, and the hotel facilities were comprehensive. Not only did they have a hot water dispenser, but also a coffee machine. The room came with disposable bath and face towels, which were very clean and hygienic, making me feel completely at ease.
Came to Shanghai for a trip and saw this place online with great reviews. It's really close to the subway station, making it super convenient to get to the city center, just about a 30-minute subway ride. The room was bright and clean, too. What I really liked was that the cleaning staff didn't just knock on the door; you could message them, and they'd come – that's a nice touch. The front desk service was also excellent; if you had any issues, you could just send a WeChat message, and they'd come right up to help. Super impressed!

The best value hotel I've ever stayed in! It's well-equipped and clean, I'll definitely choose it again next time ✨. The hotel environment is very comfortable, and the room itself is clean and tidy with soft, cozy beds. The front desk staff are friendly and responsive to guests' needs. The hotel's location is excellent, making it convenient for both business trips and sightseeing. Overall, this is a highly recommended hotel, and I would consider staying here again.
Isn't bad, the hotel is like new. My son and I had a good stay for 1 night. Though the night when we check-in I feel upset😌 coz the reception told me to call my husband first for confirmation🤭 since am I a foreign passport and my son is a chinese identification, my first time to experience like this about my credibility and identity as a mom of a half born child😅 Anyway, all nice👍

The microwave, water, and disposable cups were a nice touch. There's a bus stop right outside, which is very convenient.
The overall environment is clean and hygienic. The communal tables are generally clean, though the white one could be a bit dirtier.
There are several restrooms. The one near the mirror in the women's restroom can sometimes be a bit dirty, but the others are all very clean, as are the sinks. Just note that no disposable toiletries are provided, and the room itself is quite small, making it hard to fit luggage.

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, with lots of snacks nearby. The front desk service was also great. While the hotel facilities are a bit old, the rooms are bright, and the bedding and bathroom were clean and tidy. We weren't bothered by outside noise, and you could even see a partial view of the Oriental Pearl TV Tower from the window. Overall, it offers pretty good value for money.

I frequently travel to Shanghai for business and almost always stay here. They have a good variety of room types, and the in-room amenities are excellent. Having a washing machine and a large-screen TV is really convenient for longer stays. There's also a small balcony, which is lovely for just sitting out and enjoying the breeze sometimes. I've gotten to know the hotel staff quite well; they are all very friendly. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

MM483741****The location is fantastic! One gate of the complex opens onto the bustling Huaihai Middle Road, while the other leads to the charming and vintage Nanchang Road. The room's interior also has a very retro feel, full of old Shanghai character. Nanchang Road itself is lined with many stylish cafes and small bars. The service team is very attentive; they sent check-in instructions in advance and were available online throughout my stay to provide assistance. They even helped arrange luggage storage. I had to check out early due to a foot injury, and they didn't charge any cancellation fees. The only minor drawback of this room is that the bathroom is in a small courtyard. It might be fine in summer, but it was a bit cold in winter. However, there's a small portable heater in the courtyard that warmed it up considerably, so it wasn't a big issue. I'd love to come back and try a different room type if I get the chance.

BBowubuThis guesthouse was absolutely fantastic! The decor was lovely, and everything was spotless. It was fully equipped with a kettle, microwave, washing machine, air purifier, and even kitchen utensils. The shower had excellent water pressure, and I really appreciated the individually wrapped disposable towels – it felt very hygienic. The shampoo and body wash were standard supermarket brands, which was fine, and the hairdryer had good power. Honestly, everything was perfect. When we noticed the complimentary bottled water was out, they immediately ordered more for us. The service was superb too. I was very satisfied with our stay.

Llulu333100% recommend!!! I always stay in this hotel whenever I come to Shanghai! It's in a great area of the city and right across the road from Changshu Lu subway station (which has two subway lines on).
The hotel has many rooms and is spread out on the 18th, 19th, and 20th floors of the building. Which means that there are incredible views of the city! I recommend paying a little extra and getting the room with a window, just for the view!
The rooms are very clean with amazing bedding and pillows. You also have a personal TV, aircon, toiletries pack, bottle of water and slippers etc. There are water filter machines on each floor and usually free tea on the lobby floor. The staff are there 24 hours at the front desk, so you can check in anytime. The bathrooms are always really clean, and the cleaning ladies are always in out, making sure everything is nice.
Bonus: The famous SYSTEM night club is also in the same building (around 3rd floor). So you can party and then go up to your room on the 19th floor!

Happy with our first visit to China Shanghai
FFaithBI had a good stay in this hotel. I almost missed finding this hotel though as it had a small entrance. The reception was ok but didn't really speak english -- had to use google translate to communicate. There was only one elevator so at times, there are wait times. I got a double room with window hoping it would be bigger but it was quite small. It's big enough for 1 person though! Although there was a window, all I can see is the wall. 🙂↕️. I'm happy they had amenities that I needed -- towels, shampoo, hair dryer! They also provide 2 bottles of water per day, which is good! The surrounding area is convenient as well as it's near a convenience store, restaurants and subway station. I would recommend this hotel for its value, cleanliness and convenience. 👍
GGuest UserThe lady at the front desk was so kind and helpful. I had my child napping, and she was happy to arrange a late check-out for me. She was really lovely, and I'll definitely be staying here again in the future.

DDavid TiahStayed here twice to go to Shanghai Disneyland. This hotel's location is perfect for those wanting to take a metro to Disneyland in the morning and back at night. You take the Pusan Road station for that. The hotel room itself was nice and comfy. I would say it is great for the price. Just note that the way the bathroom was built can seem a little weird and can be a bit small, especially for a big guy like me. Other then that, I would say, highly recommended.
SShangkemaituoxieExcellent value for money! The subway station is right outside, which is super convenient. The room gets great natural light, is fully equipped, and the cleanliness and attention to detail are top-notch. Definitely a five-star rating! The room was clean and tidy, and the front desk staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. I'll definitely stay here again next time!
GGuest UserCertainly! Here are some positive reviews highlighting the hotel's friendly staff and exceptional service, inspired by your experience and similar commendable stays from the search results:

🌟 Review 1: Exceptional Personal Touch
”My stay was made unforgettable by the incredibly attentive staff. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The front desk team, especially Katherine and David, went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect—remembering special occasions like birthdays and even arranging thoughtful surprises such as birthday cakes and gifts for my child . Their proactive communication and willingness to assist via WhatsApp made me feel truly valued.”
---
🌟 Review 2: Going the Extra Mile
”The service here redefines excellence! When I mentioned my son couldn’t join due to document issues, Katherine arranged a handmade toy for him without being asked . Another staff member noticed I missed the evening lounge hours and sent desserts and fruits to my room proactively . This level of attentiveness—anticipating needs before I even expressed them—is rare and deeply appreciated.”
---
🌟 Review 3: Professionalism and Warmth
”Staff like Patrick (the barista) and Steven at the front desk left a lasting impression with their professionalism and local insights . Patrick’s morning greetings and recommendations for nearby attractions added a personal touch to my trip, while Steven’s efficiency and friendly demeanor during check-in set the tone for a seamless stay . Their enthusiasm is contagious and clearly inspires other team members!”
---
🌟 Review 4: Thoughtful Details
”Small gestures made a big difference: handwritten notes on the key card with breakfast and happy hour timings, complimentary passport covers, and even bath salts with a one-time tub cover for relaxation . The staff’s attention to detail—like providing children’s拖鞋 and haircare tools in the room—shows they truly care about guest comfort .”
---
🌟 Review 5: Responsive and Caring
”During a minor health issue, the staff immediately offered assistance, providing hot drinks and genuine concern . Their empathy and quick response turned a potentially stressful situation into a comforting experience. This kindness, combined with spotless rooms and efficient service, makes this hotel stand out.”

💎 Overall Impression:
This hotel’s greatest asset is its staff—their friendliness, professionalism, and proactive service create a welcoming atmosphere that guests remember long after checkout. Whether it’s celebrating special moments or handling everyday needs, they deliver with heart and efficiency. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a stay that feels both comfortable and genuinely caring!
MM52928****What an amazing experience! The front desk staff was so enthusiastic. When she saw me struggling with two suitcases, she greeted me while rushing over to open the door and even tried to help me with my luggage. It almost made this big guy embarrassed!
The facilities inside were exactly as pictured, even better. The absolute highlight was the huge 200-300 square meter drying area on the top floor – probably the largest online. Six washing machines and dryers lined up in a row were a huge convenience for long-term guests, and the drying area has a transparent roof, so it's good come rain or shine. The drying area is so massive that a portion of it has been converted into a relaxation zone, with starry string lights on the ceiling. Imagine a few beers and a barbecue up there on a summer night – simply fantastic!
