2-Star Hotels in Hessen, Germany

Budget level of hotel, front desk receptionists are not all well trained, some didn’t know the exact staying rules, I paid extra 1 night before arrival due to flight delay, but staff is asking for additional charges for the very same day booking, (they corrected the mistake eventually though). Cleaning staff work quality is not consistent. Some ladies are doing great job, some guys are barely finish the room cleaning task. Not holiday inn standard that I expected.

We stayed one night at the niu Charly in Frankfurt, just across from the Hauptbahnhof. The hotel itself was excellent — modern, clean, and very comfortable. Breakfast on the top floor was a highlight, with a full selection and great views. The location was super convenient, as we dropped off our rental car at the station and walked straight to the hotel. The only thing to be aware of is the area around the station. It’s very busy, with a lot of street activity and groups of people around, especially in the evening. We felt safe inside the hotel, but less so walking outside at night. During the day it was easier, and the hotel staff and facilities were fantastic. Overall, a great hotel in terms of comfort, cleanliness, and convenience — just keep in mind the character of the station district if you’re planning your stay.

The location is fantastic. This hostel is clean and cozy, conveniently located, and the common areas have a great vibe. The owner is very welcoming and hospitable, and my roommates were friendly and quiet. I had a really comfortable stay and will definitely come back again.

Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt im Eastfive Hotel. Das Hotel war sehr sauber, die Zimmer gepflegt und ordentlich – da gibt es wirklich nichts zu beanstanden. Die Lage ist etwas außerhalb, was man einplanen sollte, aber für den Preis – gerade über Silvester – absolut fair. Dafür kann man wirklich nicht meckern. Das Frühstück war gut und hatte eine ordentliche Auswahl, allerdings war es leider sehr voll, sodass es zeitweise etwas hektisch wurde. Insgesamt ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und eine klare Empfehlung, wenn man ein sauberes Hotel zu einem vernünftigen Preis sucht.

The hotel is located in a top location of Marburg, very central. The lift to the upper city is reached in about 15 minutes walk, the bus to the castle in maximum 5 minutes. The room is keep b&b standard: not ”luxury”, but all that you need for a few nights so. space just except, luggage deposit would already be useful. With the staff of the house we had no problems, all appear very friendly, despite the visible bad occupation

Short walk from main station, there’s also a tram station right at the door. If coming from the main station, take the side door to the left of the station for a shorter walk. The area could feel unsafe, but the hotel faces a main road and is safer than other areas around. Room was clean but basic and small, but good enough for a few nights stay. The lobby has vending machines for drinks at cheap prices.

The room was tiny; we had to put our luggage on the bed to open it. European hotel beds are generally small, and no one cleaned our room during our several-day stay—there was basically no service. The front desk staff seemed to be just going through the motions, chatting amongst themselves, and didn't seem particularly fond of Chinese guests. There was road construction nearby, so taxis had to take a long detour and still couldn't get close. There's absolutely nothing around the hotel, just residential areas. You could walk for 15 minutes and not find a single restaurant. It's right by the highway and feels very desolate.

Good room, good location, right next to the Rebstockbad terminus of tram line 17. Breakfast OK (but the eggs were only boiled). Friendly staff. The only active elevator goes to every floor where someone has pressed the button.
