The breakfast was good and the room was large, although it was close to the highway but not noisy at all. The parking lot is large. The rooms are two floors, and the one in the north needs to walk from the outside to the front desk for breakfast.
I've stayed at this hotel numerous times. For the money it is fair. One problem that has always been present is the fact that their ”breakfast” is non existent. Compared to other similar priced and rated motel/hotel establishments I stay at this one is the PITTS! Almost non-existent, Others have waffle or Pancake machines, Most have toast, scrambled eggs or omlets, or oatmeal, etc. Selection of fresh fruit, yogurt or even fresh donuts are not available. Very Very skimpy selection at best. Why they even list ”breakfast is beyond me.
Although the hotel is on the side of the road, but the room in the room is not noisy, the room looks clean, the breakfast will be there, there are two gas stations next to it, overall satisfaction

A good location on route 66 and a welcomed stop. The receptionist was very polite, but pointed out the taps needed to drip all night in case they froze over. Also the bathroom light switch gave me a small shock every time. Decent sized bed and was clean too
The rooms are the old shared/conjoined rooms with the doors in the middle of the room to the neighbor. Even though they were closed and locked, I could hear the tv, conversation, water running, everything from the conjoined room. The staff was very friendly though, and breakfast was okay!

Great
GGuest UserOur stay at the Econo Lodge in Socorro, New Mexico so far exceeded our expectations that I was compelled to share our experience with others. Located on the main strip, and across the street from a Walmart, it is a slightly rundown area. But the motel is taken care of like it's situated in an oasis. The room offers just what is needed for a restful stay. The bed feels newish and is extremely comfortable. The air-conditioning is user-controlled, so the temperature was cool for us after a long day of driving in high-90s weather. There is a desk to work or write on; a refrigerator and freezer, which we used to store dinner leftovers; a microwave; and a single coffee maker with regular and decaffeinated coffee pods, same for tea, and even hot chocolate. The room has a table and chairs is comfortable to play games, eat dinner, or share a morning coffee for two. The room is extremely clean. And the stay was extremely quiet. The latter two points amazed us, because the price point of the hotel is very economical, and as soon as you open the front door, you hear noise from the main strip, businesses on all sides, and residents talking loudly. It's a well-made hotel, but it is a little older. So, for example, I was challenged in taking a bath since the plug no longer stays shut. The WiFi buffers from time-to-time, when using your computer. And the television (DirectTV) didn't work - it was offline when we turned it on right before bed. The front desk agent was happy to send someone to the room to reset it. It was our decision to forgo it, because we were having a lovely quiet evening and didn't really need to watch TV. If we'd arrived a little early (and next time we stay here) we'll walk to the courtyard and sit on one of the beautifully appointed wrought iron patio loveseats, around a fountain and flowers, and enjoy some reading time. And don't miss the complimentary breakfast. The attendant who has a lovely, welcoming personality makes you eggs, bacon, sausage; there's individual bread wrapped in plastic wrap (so, like the cleanliness of the room, it is made to ensure your safety). There is granola and two other healthy cereal options, waffles, bagels and cream cheese, hard-boiled eggs, fresh coffee with liquid creamers, etc. It's tasty, convenient, and satisfying, and is included in the low price of the room. We can't recommend a motel more. We've stayed in so many, some as costly as $300 a night, and not had a better overall experience.
GGuest UserFabulous experience everything to rave about and nothing to complain. Allowed to check in early, all my requests were accommodated. High floor, pool view, near the office.
Room had coffeemaker, refrigerator and microwave, all in good condition. Room was clean and had flooring instead of carpet. Didn't use the pool, but it was sparkling and nice to look at. Thought the TV wasn't working but one call to the front desk and they walked me through how to navigate it. Front door was heavy and had sturdy locks with dead bolt. Breakfast was great. Only saw the unhoused near property once but not actually on it. When leaving I needed ice hadn't noticed ice machine went to the office to inquire. They said no working ice machine on property , but took huge ice bag of ice out of their freezer and gave me enough to fill my ice chest. Above and beyond! Do not hesitate to ask front desk for anything you need.I am confident they will make every attempt to accommodate. My son attends NMSU and I make several trips to Las Cruces every year. Strayed from my old hotel because they changed ownership and doubled their prices, (lucky me!) Because i've now found my new favorite hotel. I plan to return in both November.abd December i won't have to waste time shopping hotels.Thank you Days Inn and your wonderful front desk gals! Wish
I would have gotten thier names, they are doing a wonderful job. Maids seemed to be doing what they're supposed to do and the young man I saw cleaning the pool was working hard every time I saw him. I look forward to seeing all of you again soon. Below are pictures of my actual room. I tried to be nosy when Passing by other rooms that maids were cleaning. They all looked fresh and well taken care of.
Yyuzm1049The room was clean and refreshing, the front desk was good and enthusiastic. Breakfast saves a lot of things. The surrounding area is more convenient, it is convenient to drive to Walmart or restaurants, less than 30 minutes drive from Carlsbad Cave.
CCappy 2021As advertised, a luttle rough around the edges as they are rennovating the prperty. And as advertised (but a point of confusion) there is a breakfast served behind white door in room to left of lobby for check in. Check in at glass doirs near street and ring bell if dont see anyone at desk and doors locked.
The rooms are in new condition but need touch up paint and the concrete under 1st floor rooms wasnt leveled good so some of the new wood flooring on top has soft spots due to no concrete underneath. Furniture in banged up condition but sturdy. Beds are comfortable and new beddings and towels. New plumbing, flooring and drywall/paint. Good exterior lighting and security cameras at night. Quiet place despite a dozen or so cars.
