"Enjoyed my stay at SOHO. The location is perfect and accessible to where I needed to go. My room was great! Clean , comfortable, plenty of wardrobe & bathroom space. The gym was nice, equipment was perfect to do a workout to start my day. The balcony was great to enjoy the sunny mornings & afternoons. Location is perfect !"

"The room was a bit small, but the bed was quite comfortable, and the view outside the window was nice, with the Sky Tower visible. The hotel's location is excellent, right in the city center, just a five-minute walk to Queen Street. There's a 'green supermarket' nearby, and next to it, a Kiwi souvenir shop has the cheapest items. The chocolate prices in the supermarket were also reasonable. Breakfast was plentiful and complete, and the service was good. It's a pretty standard star-rated hotel. Apart from the small room and weak shower pressure, everything else was quite satisfactory. Parking was on the 7th floor or above of the adjacent parking garage, costing $15 per day on weekends and $30 per day on weekdays. You pay for parking before leaving the hotel."

"I enjoyed the free airport shuttle. The friendly staff, safe and being accessible to laundry services, breakfast and there was no disturbance. The motel was also near to our LDS chapel, about a 3 minutes walk away. The cleaning staff were always on time. If we requested room cleaning, it was done with absolute care. Bath towels etc. were changed on daily basis. The only drawback was the loud voice of the cook in the kitchen, who was on his phone. The continental breakfast was awesome. Set out neatly with clean plates and cups. Lastly, the 24-7 front desk service was great. We arrived at 12.50am and were greeted with a friendly front desk staff. Swift processing of our booking, in no time we were in our room."

"On our first night in Auckland, we chose this hotel. It was a quick 10-15 minute drive from the airport after picking up our rental car. Even though it was already dark around 5 PM, we found it easily with the navigation. The hotel has a large parking lot outside, which was a major selling point when I booked, as free parking was important to us. We had the buffet dinner at the hotel, and it was very rich and satisfying. The hotel facilities aren't the newest, but the surrounding environment is lovely. We were heading to Hobbiton the next day, so we didn't have much time to fully enjoy it. I'd love to stay here again if I get the chance."

"We arrived at around 10:30am and requested an early check in, as we had a 5:00am flight the following morning. We fully understood that the standard 1500pm check in time applied and that any early check-in was subject to room availability. We therefore appreciated the hotel accommodating us with a room at 1230pm. Unfortunately, the room was not ready to the standard we expected. We found an empty bottle on the floor, and the glass door/window could not be locked properly. Although, we requested a room change, we were informed that none were available at the time and maintenance advised that the lock would require drilling and screwing to repair. What disappointed us most was not the need for the repair itself, but how the situation was handled. The communication from the maintenance staff came across as abrupt when we were asked whether we wanted the repair carried out or not. We also felt greater consideration could have been given to guests, as drilling may not be suitable for those with allergies, asthma or sensitivities to dust or noise. Holiday inn has always been a brand I associate with consistent international standards, particularly from my experiences in South-East Asia. While we appreciated the hotel's flexibility in offering an early check-in, we do not believe this should come at the expense of basic expectations such as cleanliness, security, and a room that is ready for occupancy. Hopefully, this was an isolated incident rather than a reflection of the hotel's usual standards. Many guests arrive after long journeys simply looking forward to a clean, secure and comfortable place to rest. A little more thoughtfulness in both room readiness and communication would make a meaningful difference to the overall guest experience."

"The hotel's location is excellent, making it super convenient for getting around and shopping. The room was spotless, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water in the bathroom. The front desk staff were friendly and check-in was efficient. Overall, it offers great value for money, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip."

"This hotel is incredibly convenient, just a few minutes' walk, about 200 meters, from the international terminal. Especially now with Auckland Airport's temporary terminal where you have to queue outside for check-in, the hotel's location is absolutely perfect. Plus, you can even push your airport luggage cart right to your room door. It's also quite easy to transfer from domestic to international flights, with the domestic arrivals a roughly ten-minute walk away."
