"Cannot ask for more from this hotel. Everything is perfect. We have the best accomodation in here while in Shikoku, where we have stayed in 9 hotels. It was simply the best.
The environment is recluse, though it is highly accessible with cars. The star-gazing experience in onsen is once in a lifetime. It was magical to bath under the starry night. The dining experience is exceptional, though it is a little pricey, compare to the dinner we have throught Shikoku. Still, I highly recommend to try the Japanese-style course The Manna provided."
Nestled within the abundant natural beauty of Kochi, “Kohan-yu” stands quietly on a vast 3,000-tsubo estate. This is an exclusive Tosa retreat, welcoming only four groups of guests at a time.
All guest rooms offer panoramic lake views and are equipped with private open-air hot spring baths. While gazing upon the ever-changing scenery of the lake through the seasons, guests can indulge in the mineral-rich “Golden Onsen” directly from its natural source.
Dining features dishes centered around vegetables grown in the property’s own garden, capturing the pure essence and richness of nature. Throughout the property, the refined tones of world-class vintage audio systems create an atmosphere of deep tranquility and sophistication.
In 2025, the property was selected for the Michelin Guide “Hotel Selection,” a testament to its exceptional hospitality. Here, a one-of-a-kind healing experience that awakens all five senses awaits you.
