I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options to choose from each morning. The rooms were beautifully designed, clean, and very comfortable, making it easy to relax after a long day. The location is also a big plus—conveniently situated close to everything you need, which made exploring the area very easy. The staff were friendly, professional, and always helpful. Special thanks to Tim and the team for making our stay so smooth and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again.

This was my second stay here, and just like the first, it was excellent and left a deep impression! From the moment we contacted the pickup driver after landing, we felt so welcomed. The shuttle service was great – drivers were friendly and always on time, and the car was spotless. They even helped with our luggage. Check-in at the front desk was super efficient and quick, and the staff were lovely. After getting to our room, I was especially impressed by how tidy everything was, the cleanliness of the bedding, and the immaculate bathroom – not a speck of dirt anywhere. The shower had great water pressure, and the temperature was easy to adjust and perfect. Breakfast was plentiful, and the service was outstanding! I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm at Pudong Airport!

We really enjoyed our stay at Chalet Hotel. The staff was so accommodating and sweet. We would like to thank SuSu for being so helpful. The hotel is clean and in a great location. We highly recommend for couples as it’s quiet and convenient. The breakfast was amazing and there was a large variety. We would stay here again. They are also kind enough to store our luggage.

Quite a distance away from Nanjing street. Takes about 15-20mins walk even though its only 500m+ away. The hotel is at quiet area, good if u prefer somewhere that is not noisy and you will take didi most of the time. But may not be ideal for solo female travellers. Room is quite good-conditioner can ownself adjust (good because some hotels in China are centralised air-conditioning). Cleanliness and condition acceptable because noted that most of hotels in shanghai are old buildings, but not sure why there was always water leaking out under the toilet sink area which is a minus point for me-floor was wet all the time. And got one day the staff came in clean up my room even though I put ‘do not disturb’. I noticed it when my towel was changed and my dustbin was empty even though my bed still remained in same condition. Will consider other hotel to stay in if I ever go Shanghai again. Reception staffs generally are nice (however was told to only leave 5 star reviews when they passed me little gift before I leave. I rejected the gift and said I will not do so then she said I can keep the gift but not to put reviews if is not 5 stars lolll) But this will be my honest review for this hotel for everyone to take note.

I recently stayed one night at the Holiday Inn Shanghai Pudong Airport, and overall, it was a very satisfying experience. My friend and I (two women) booked a Superior Twin Room, and the room was more spacious than we expected. The layout was practical, making it easy to store our luggage. The beds were clean and comfortable with just the right firmness, ensuring a good night's sleep. The soundproofing was also quite effective, and we weren't disturbed by any outside noise. The hotel itself was clean and well-maintained, and the cleanliness of our room put us at ease. The bathroom had a convenient wet/dry separation, plenty of hot water, and a full set of toiletries, making for a smooth experience. For guests on a short stopover or with a layover, these amenities are more than sufficient. The location is excellent for travelers catching flights, being close to Pudong Airport, which makes getting around quite convenient. It's a worry-free choice for those with connecting flights or early morning departures. The front desk staff were professional and efficient; both check-in and check-out were smooth, with no long waits. Overall, this is an airport hotel with good value for money, suitable for short stays or transit. Both the room comfort and service met our expectations, and I would definitely consider staying here again if I have a similar trip in the future.

LOVE THIS HOTEL! I was here with my aunt for 10 nights, with breakfast. Throughout our stay, we were well taken care of. Cleanliness lived up to expectations, and housekeeping was consistent, prompt and predictable. Whenever we had any request, our 31st floor Da Jie promptly and generously provided. Our housekeeping Da Jie even placed an extra box of tissues when she noticed my own tissue packet on the table. (So thoughtful!) Another detail that impressed me were how generous they were with the clothes hangers, and wall hooks! Sometimes, i find it hard to find a place to hang my towel and etc, but there were additional wall hooks in random places which turned out to be so useful; I think the Eton staff really thought it through for their guests. (See picture: one on toilet, one outside toilet, there was even a hook under the main door handle) Throughout our stay, breakfast options were also well varied. I really appreciated how the kitchen continued to replenish their dishes even near the end of the buffet breakfast period. Location is a plus point too. The hotel is easy to find for DiDi drivers, and if you’re travelling out, the Pudong Ave station is right outside the main entrance. With lines 4 and 14, you’ll find that you are well connected whether it be to tourists spots or otherwise. We also found a few eateries and convenience shops around, so buying water and settling dinner was easy-peasy. All in all, I get the feeling that this hotel is warm, hospitable and generous. I’m truly heartened by the experience here and I’ll be recommending Eton for sure.

Hotel is situated within a humble neighbourhood, location is good as it is very near Pudong International Airport. As opposed to the humble exterior, interior and the room is tastefully decorated. I had a very pleasant stay at Shanghai Elong Hotel. The hotel is very clean and well maintained, which made the stay comfortable and enjoyable. Its location is excellent—very convenient and close to Nanjing Pedestrian Street, making it easy to explore Shanghai’s main attractions, shopping, and dining areas. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay, which added to the positive experience. The room was spacious, comfortable, and offered a nice view of the street, creating a pleasant atmosphere both during the day and at night. Overall, a great choice for anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and centrally located hotel in Shanghai.

Lucy at the front desk and Chu Jun in the restaurant were very welcoming. Seeing that I had three kids, they gave each child a gift. The restaurant staff, especially the auntie making wontons and rice noodles, also provided excellent service. The restaurant offers both Chinese and Western cuisine, and there are quite a few foreign guests staying at the hotel. The downside is that the hotel facilities are a bit old; you have to pull a string behind the sink to drain it. It seems like the rooms are separated by panels, which makes them a bit noisy.

GGuest UserMercure Shanghai Yu Garden on the Bund Best location and 5-stars to the patient staff that make a Shanghai visit memorable! Great communication with the hotel staff that made us feel most welcome with a toiletries package for a 4-night stay. Shanghai can be intimidating to intrepid travellers that don’t speak Chinese, which is why many foreigners join organised tours. We appreciate the welcome email prior to arrival with directions. We were spoiled with the 5-star cruise aboard the Yangzi Explorer discovering cities along the Yangtze River in a tour group with bilingual guides. There are so many optional activities in Shanghai, and these were the highlights suggested by the hotel staff that spoke in English and occasionally used a translation device for clear communication. They wrote the Chinese name which was helpful as we wandered the maze of streets in this old part of Shanghai. The staff were patient with our limited Chinese and Lucas helped us with Chinese lessons. These were the top picks, all within walkable distance, except ERA2. · TAN Sichuan in Yu Garden for dinner on arrival · The famous Nanxiang Steamed Bun Restaurant in Yu Garden for the traditional handmade xiaolongbao (soup dumplings) for brunch · High tea · Dinner at The Fellas (chateaubriand for two) rooftop bar with a a breathtaking view of the Bund and Pudong skyline · Jazz in the Long Bar in Waldorf-Astoria Hotel on the Bund, though we also went to hear the Jazz Band in Peace Hotel but don’t waste your money on the CNY480pp minimum spend where there was no vibe where even the musicians seemed bored. Great lively vibe in the Long Bar for a FUNtastic night enjoying cocktails and music with same prices we pay at home in a spectacular setting · POP on the Bund (Three on the Bund): Rooftop venue with 270° panoramic views of the Huangpu River and Pudong skyline · Yu Garden, People’s Square, Shanghai Museum and nightly walk along the Bund to view the futuristic Pudong skyline lit up across the river is an absolute must. · ERA2, Spirit of Shanghai at World Circus – 250rmb pre-pay on Trip.com with clear directions, every seat is good though there are 3 prices at the box office. #Mercure Shanghai Yu Garden on the Bund #Trip.com # TANSichuanYuGarden #TheFellas # NanxiangSteamedBunRestaurantYuGarden # Long BarWaldorf-AstoriaHotel #POPontheBund #ERA2 We love Trip.com! CCurious TravellerGreat location if you are heading for Disneyland or has an early flight to catch the next morning. Otherwise it is quite far from Shanghai city center - JingAn area- with no traffic - 45 min taxi ride) The hotel offers free shuttle to Disneyland which departs the hotel at 7:20am; and returns to the hotel at 10:20pm. It was a bit late for us since we finished watching the fireworks at 830pm. (Disneyland closes at 9:30pm ). So we just took a taxi (very few people waiting and cost ~RMB50; while the online car service costs ~R30 but the waiting area was very congested. The free shuttle to Putong airport departs on the hour and starts from 4 or 5am and takes less than 30min. Need to book one day in advance at the front desk. Our 3 persons family room has a double bed and a proper single bed( not fold up bed). Spacious enough for luggages. The negatives - we booked and paid for 3 persons - but hotel only offered breakfast for 2. We booked 2 nights but only has breakfast for one day. Strangest arrangement I have ever seen. BF - has reasonable options of Chinese and western cuisine . Noodle Bar was the best. Night snack- also has noodle bar with dumplings and congee.

DDOLPHINETravelling time in car from Shanghai Pudong International airport T1 about one hour (Depends on traffic - we were caught in slight jam at 4plus). Checking in to hotel is a breeze. As I have paid for the hotel when I booked with Trip.com, they didnt ask for additional deposit or credit card details (which many other hotels will do). They are pleasant, friendly and helpful. Room is relatively good size. There are one Queen bed, one single bed (not sofa bed), table with 2 chairs, fridge, side tables, large television, etc. We have good walking space in the room. Very comfortable beds. Mattresses are just nice for us including for someone with back issue. The hotel provided 2 types of pillows for each person. Sleep real well. Bathroom has installed German brand Hansgrohe bathroom accessories. The shower area is properly done up, no water spill out from shower area to other parts of the bathroom. Very rare. Nice! We love bathroom to be dry always. It comes with hairdryer and water jug for hot water, soft drinks and bottles of water. Sufficient glasses for drinking. Absolutely no good views looking out from windows. Do not expect anything for views. It is a bonus if you have it. Not really affecting us since most of the time we have the day curtains and we are out most of the time. Though we do not require any room clean-up, they will still tidy up the room. For those who do not want to be disturbed, you may want to speak to the front desk or put it in the wechat (they set up for us when we check-in). Cleaners are friendly too. Lift - if you read some people stating only one lift, WRONG! There are two lifts (one inside the lobby, one outside the hotel). You will have to wait longer if you use the one in the lobby, shared with food delivery robots. The lift outside allows you to access easily without the need of passing through the front desk. Less crowded. I didnt know about this lift until last day 😀 This hotel is centrally located, very close to Nanjing Pedestrian street and the Metro (MRT/MTR) East Nanjing road station, we walk to The Bund too. Many eateries and shops. We did not take up any breakfast with the hotel since it is really convenient to eat anywhere nearby. Understand from the front desk if you take up the hotel breakfast upon arrival, there is a discount. Fyi. Restaurant, gym, laundry room are on the 4th floor. Hotel rooms are on 3rd to 8th floor. We took a didi (taxi) to Shanghai train station, it is about 15mins ride. Understand to take metro/mrt/mtr from East Nanjing Metro Station to Shanghai train station, it is 30mins (from what I checked with front desk). We took didi to Yu Garden, arrived around 10mins. Understand we are able to walk from hotel to Yi Garden, probably takes between 20 to 30 minutes, or taking the metro East Nanjing Road Station (close to hotel) and take Line 10 one stop to Yuyuan Garden Station. City bus (red colour), you can take from Nanjing Pedestrian street (closer to the hotel). We paid RMB81 each. We board around 6pm, last 24 hours. Using the same ticket, you can hop to blue and green bus too. Weather here in first week of April is estimated between 11 to 20 degrees celsius. Day time is warm, wear short sleeve shirt will do. Bring a jacket, when the wind blows, it can be cold when weather changes. We have a great time staying in this hotel, factor in the good service, the room space, convenience, location... Will stay in this hotel if I visit Shanghai again. Thank you to the lady at front desk for your kind gesture, giving me a small bag of cookies when I check-out. Much appreciated. See you next time, Crystal Orange Shanghai the Bund Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street Hotel.

LLea BossLovely 4 nights stay here, specially the laundry room was a great convenience, staffs were incredibly helpful assisting the laundry when I couldn’t make it back in time before the cycle finished. Location is excellent, just a short walk from the Bund and very convenient with a FamilyMart right next door for any essentials. The bed was very comfortable, wake up with no back aching, though the soundproofing is average as you may hear faint conversations from nearby room but didn’t take away from the overall experience. Hotel is clean, tidy and efficiently managed from the front desk to the housekeeping team. Morning breakfast is lovely too… Overall, a very pleasant stay kudos to the team! And recommend to stay!!

AAnonymous UserA perfect stay! The hotel's location is excellent, the room was spacious, quiet, and very clean, and the breakfast was incredibly rich and varied. On the day I checked in, I missed dinner and ended up with low blood sugar. The restaurant was busy with a group of Indian guests who had pre-booked a meal. A staff member, perhaps noticing I was very hungry, very kindly brought me two bowls of millet porridge. As someone who travels frequently for business, it's rare and truly appreciated to find a hotel where the staff are so kind and provide prompt service. After all, this wasn't part of the hotel staff's duties, especially since the hotel doesn't even offer dinner service. Yet, this staff member, despite clearly being very busy, immediately noticed a guest's need and went above and beyond their job scope. This is the greatest kindness you can show a guest. I believe this reflects the great care and culture instilled by the company, truly a hallmark of an excellent establishment. I extend my sincere thanks to all the hotel's management and staff, especially that particular team member 🙏. Note: My photos don't do it justice; the room was actually fantastic 🎉

ККонстантин ГладконогихA small, cozy hotel in the Jing'an District, on picturesque Julu Road. The hotel itself consists of two mansions built in the late 1920s by the Asian Petroleum Company, as you can read at the information board on the corner of Chang Shu Lu and Julu Roads. The hotel complex is located in a gated community, where the quiet of the park and the chirping of birds are so unusual in the heart of the vast city. The hotel reception is located in the mansion closest to the entrance, where we were warmly greeted and quickly checked in despite our limited English and complete lack of Chinese. We rented two rooms as there were three of us traveling, and my wife and I lived on the second floor in a fairly spacious room with two windows. There are some minor inconveniences, such as the steep steps on the narrow staircase, which might be a bit difficult for older people, but we had no discomfort, and the hotel staff helped us carry our suitcases. The room was equipped with a TV, refrigerator, desk, safe, and a very, very large bathroom with a window. There was both cold and very hot water, which was perfect, and of course, there was a hairdryer. Our bathroom didn't have a bathtub, but that wasn't a problem for us; the hotel offers a wide range of rooms to suit every taste. The rooms were cleaned and the linens and towels were changed regularly, and we didn't notice it at all. It was very quiet at night; we didn't hear anything, although I've read reviews that the hotel has good soundproofing, but we couldn't say that. Generally, staying at this hotel, you have a very strong sense of privacy, as if the entire mansion were yours, but in the morning, at breakfast, seeing your neighbors, you realize that's not the case. It's also a special pleasure to open the windows early in the morning and let in the sun, fresh air, and birdsong. The hotel is remarkable for its undeniable historical value. You immerse yourself in the unhurried silence of a measured existence amidst a small park with its living inhabitants, such as birds and squirrels, where nothing disturbs your peace, either in your room or beyond. You undoubtedly enjoy the history as you admire the magnificent staircases, old mirrors, and Art Nouveau hallways, as well as the manicured lawns and trees in the courtyard, where you can sip your morning coffee and enjoy the peace and sunshine. The hotel offers a small breakfast and excellent coffee. There are very decent restaurants in the neighboring buildings, and several coffee shops are within a three-minute walk, making it very convenient. The metro is a five-minute walk from the hotel, and when I called a taxi through the DIdi app, the drivers always arrived. And all this is surrounded by quiet, cozy historic streets shaded by old plane trees, a pleasant place to stroll at any time. There are many restaurants, including Mediterranean cuisine, bakeries, bars, and wine bars within walking distance. Nanjing Road is about a 10-minute taxi ride away, and the main attractions are easily reached on foot, so it's best to enjoy the surrounding beauty. I really regret not having visited Sun Yat-sen's residence, which is also within walking distance. All in all, if you love the spirit of good old Shanghai and appreciate peace and quiet amidst the vast modern metropolis, you should definitely check out this stunning hotel, which I'll definitely be eager to visit again!
