Staying 3 nights at this hotel and location just close to Nanjing Pedestrian Walk and The Bund.
Hotel Receptionist is friendly and helpful. Especially at noon, one of the receptionist (She, Unknown her name) help us to call to a local shop which I forget to ask is there’s a VAT for the item I bought. Thanks to her.
Another receptionist, Nana help us to contact the driver during midnight to pick-up cause our flight is 6am although we booked during our 2nd day stay. Thanks for the arrangement.
Cleanliness of the room thumbs-up and very comfortable. During our stay, there’s a construction proceed from 9am-6pm but that is not an issue for us cause we at outside whole day.
Definitely will stay again.

Amazing location in the heart of the pedestrian street. Easy to walk around see sights and get food. The room is smaller than expected but enough for one person. There’s a bit of a smell sometimes in the bathroom, maybe from the drain. Has enough amenities and generally clean.

The location is great, near to many famous food places and shopping district. However, the hotel room is small, bathroom is small too. The room has a smell of mouldy air con, or clothes not dried with sun kind of smell that lingered for long. They don’t change bedsheets or blanket covers unless requested (we stayed five nights). And after night 3 I requested cos it was dirty. Ordering food and collection of Taobao parcels were easy. Service staff were friendly. So all they need is really a Reno I guess. Oh there is no drop off area for hotel so getting on cabs or didi was a bit difficult but doable.

This stay far exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend it! The hotel is incredibly close to Pudong Airport, and their pickup and drop-off services were arranged very efficiently with quick response times, making our layover stress-free and easy. I especially want to thank the friendly and enthusiastic young man at the front desk. Not only did he proactively upgrade our room type, but he also thoughtfully provided suggestions for a suitable check-out time based on our next flight, making us feel incredibly welcome and well-served. The hotel's overall design and decor are warm and comfortable, and the environment is clean and tidy, giving off a very relaxing and healing vibe. It truly surpassed all our expectations. Both the facilities and the quality of service left a lasting impression. I sincerely thank the hotel team for their dedicated service. The next time I pass through Shanghai Pudong Airport, I will definitely choose to stay here again and will recommend it to my friends. I wish the hotel thriving business and continued success!

It was an interesting stay. Great location right off the shopping boulevard. The hotel has a bar and two restaurants. A spa, a foot spa, and gym. We had lounge access which was a nice bonus but not really worth the extra money. You get free breakfast, appetizers from 6-8, and lounge access for coffee and sodas from 1-930.
The breakfast was yummy. Offered a wide selection of food with regional dishes to western foods. One of the few places I’ve traveled outside the US that has actual bacon. We never waited but there was a sign saying there were peak hours.
Check in was great. I had an issue with a bag left in a DiDi and the front desk agent went out of his way to help me get in touch with driver to recover my bag.
The room much like the rest of the hotel feels trapped in that fake opulence that was popular awhile back. The shower was awkward because of its shape but it did have a rain shower which was nice. One of the few hotels I’ve been in lately that didn’t have the bath stuff bolted to the wall (though it probably wouldn’t fit). Huge tub and large fluffy towels. My daughter and I both left with some bug bites from our stay not bed bugs but definitely something. The biggest drawback to the room is the lack of functional outlets. One bed has no open plugs or usb ports the other bed has a wonky extension cord with some usb ports. Found one other usb in the room in the desk area.
The hotel is doing some work apparently later this month so hopefully they bring it into this century.
One thing I didn’t discover until the next day is there is an entrance from the back of the hotel right on the big shopping street. There’s also a cute little food court right there where you can grab a pretty decent variety of food.
One warning is didi and food delivery have a hard time with the address

The hotel room is spacious, clean, and large enough to comfortably open two 30-inch suitcases. The room, however, could benefit from better soundproofing, as conversations from guests walking along the corridor can be heard quite clearly.
One downside of the hotel is the lift arrangement. Guests staying on Levels 3–5 need to transfer lifts at Level 2, which can be inconvenient, especially when carrying luggage.
The hotel provides two complimentary bottles of water daily, but additional bottles are available upon request from the front desk staff. A highlight for guests with long hair is the Laifen hairdryer provided in the room, which dries hair quickly and efficiently.
The hotel also offers two types of pillows, including a memory foam option for added comfort. Laundry facilities are available with commercial-grade washers and dryers, though you may need to wait during peak periods, particularly on Sunday evenings.
Overall, the hotel offers comfortable rooms and useful amenities, with only a few areas that could be improved.

We stayed with two children, and they upgraded us to a Little Yellow Duck themed room, which the kids absolutely loved.
The complimentary scheduled shuttle service was a thoughtful touch. On our first day, we wanted to go to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. Just as we were about to call a taxi, the shuttle driver told us he could take us directly and advised us not to bother with a taxi, which was super convenient.
Heartwarming late-night snack: We could enjoy a late-night snack after returning to the hotel. They offered mini wontons and mixed noodles. The mini wontons were delicious, and the kids really enjoyed them.
Cleanliness: Overall, it was excellent!
Minibar all-you-can-drink: There were sodas, and for the kids, oat milk and cookies. The cookies were incredibly tasty!
Ordering takeout was also very convenient, with a robot delivering it directly to the room.
Another shout-out to the hotel: I accidentally booked an extra room on another platform but forgot about it. The hotel proactively contacted me, which was very considerate, and they even refunded me in the end. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for family travel.
Seriously, I can't recommend this Mercure enough! As someone who travels constantly and usually stays in high-quality hotels, I initially booked this place last minute with zero expectations. But I was blown away after checking in.
The overall atmosphere is incredibly comfortable and peaceful, with no noise whatsoever. The lobby and hallways are spotless, and the greenery and soft furnishings are tastefully arranged. The decor is a gentle yet elegant French minimalist style, with exquisite detailing and sophisticated, timeless color schemes – every corner is picture-perfect.
The biggest highlight is the room view. The panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offer an unbeatable vista, with an unobstructed view of the city skyline. You can take in the sunrise, sunset, and the city lights at night, and just sitting by the window and zoning out is incredibly therapeutic. The room itself is spacious, the bedding and bathroom facilities are high-quality, and the soundproofing is excellent.
Compared to the high-end hotels I usually frequent, this Mercure's overall experience is absolutely on par, and its value for money and the environmental views were an unexpected surprise. Highly, highly recommended!

This is our third time at this hotel. We much prefer the standard of room and service of this hotel than other airport hotels closer to PVG.
The room is large, clean and comfortable and there is a robot that will deliver any takeaways directly to the room.
Check in took a little longer this time, but the staff are friendly and obviously do their very best to help.
The shuttle bus is free, goes very 40minutes and takes about 30-35 minutes to get to the airport so do bare that in mind, but for the value of the hotel this is only a slight downside.
As we had an early flight we couldn't have breakfast, but the staff offered to pack us a breakfast to take with us on the shuttle. 6am is a bit early for me to eat so we politely declined their kind offer.
We have another trip booked in July and will be flying out of PVG so we will definitely be staying here again.
Highly recommend l

There were eight of us, and the hotel staff were incredibly helpful, doing their best to arrange rooms on the same floor for us. Before we left, they even gave us some complimentary souvenirs. The hotel's location is fantastic, just a five-minute walk from Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, with plenty of places to eat and shop nearby. I highly recommend staying at this hotel.

GGuest UserThe environment is great, and the service is exceptional. The hotel breakfast is rich and varied, and they even offer late-night snacks! The snacks are available promptly every day. They also provide airport shuttle service and transportation to Disneyland. For the price, this hotel is definitely worth it! Highly recommended.
CCecilia Saputri GunawanVery modern and clean room facilities, great location near top spots in Shanghai such as The Bund and Nanjing Road. 24-hour laundry service and allow for Taobao packages and takeouts. Definitely recommend!
11haixing1Facilities: A bit old, it's an older hotel but well-maintained. Doesn't affect normal use, and it's very clean.
Cleanliness: Clean, tidy, and comfortable.
Environment: Not bad, a standalone building, close to the subway.
Service: Excellent, very attentive and friendly. They greet you when you enter and leave, very polite.
Welcome amenity on first day: The fruit and snacks were nice. There's also a self-service coffee machine in the lobby.

Yyulie_angI am sooooo impressed with the laundry service provided. I thought we have to do our own laundry, but guests can leave them behind after putting clothes into washing machine and they will help us dry n fold. Detergent, fabric softener and even disinfectant provided. Staffs are all friendly and always try their best to serve us. I even got free breakfast for 3 of us when its not included in my room. Only one thing needs improvement, the food for breakfast. Not amazing but still thankful for it. Will come back for sure when i visit shanghai
CClaire_PanFinding a hotel this time around took ages, and a lot of the reviews I saw weren't great, including other Huazhu hotels. Even though this place had decent reviews and a friend recommended it, I was still a bit nervous before checking in.
**Environment:** The hotel entrance felt a little cramped, but once inside, it instantly felt comfortable. The light, minimalist style is exactly what I like. The room layout was also very pleasant; the lighting and space were both great.
**Facilities:** The room had a coffee machine ☕ which was very convenient, and a fridge (with soft drinks inside). The lobby also had water brewed by the hotel itself.
**Hygiene:** Very clean! This was my biggest concern, and I gave it a thorough look-over as soon as I entered.
**Service:** I was genuinely impressed with the service this time. Staff members would actively approach and ask if I needed anything if we made eye contact, always with a smile. The cleaning lady even politely greeted me with a 'Good morning' as I left my room and asked, 'May I clean the room now?'
Just a minor point: the front desk staff said the room they arranged had a better view (facing the golf course), but all I saw was a messy rooftop 🤣. However, it was quiet, which was a plus and didn't affect my overall satisfaction.
**Food:** The breakfast selection was quite comprehensive, covering Chinese and Western styles, coarse grains, fine noodles, and fruits. If you're not looking for steak for breakfast, it's perfectly adequate for a regular meal (didn't get a full photo, but there's also a coffee machine and toaster 🍞).
ἈἈστραῖοςLocated in the heart of Shanghai's historic Juxingchang area, the former guesthouse of Air Force Unit 4 holds an unmissable and pivotal position in modern Chinese history. To be honest, I was initially hesitant; I had originally booked the Yan'an Hotel, but was persuaded by the travel agency to switch to this place. On the eve of the 24th anniversary of '913' (September 13th), I was in the attic room here, rushing to meet my school deadlines. On the evening of September 13th, Shanghai was hit by a heavy downpour. My family and I were having dinner at the adjacent Xi Family Garden. We borrowed two umbrellas from Manager Zhang at the front desk, one of his own and one from a colleague. I'm truly grateful for this trust, and also want to thank Manager Zhang for his thoughtful service over the past two days.

Very Good
AAnonymous UserThe surrounding area is very convenient for shopping, with Raffles City North Bund just across the street. The breakfast is good, and the view from the Sky Palace on the top floor is beautiful. There were only two bottles of water in the room, and a note indicated an additional charge of 2 yuan for each extra bottle. This practice feels a bit odd, as even smaller hotels usually provide an ample supply of bottled water.
GGuest UserMy stay at H Hotel Huinan far exceeded expectations, making it an incredibly value-for-money choice for visiting Shanghai. The hotel is close to Huinan Metro Station, just a few minutes' walk away, and even offers free shuttle services to the Wild Animal Park and Disneyland, making travel easy and convenient. The lobby boasts an elegant and grand New Chinese style, with a quiet and refined atmosphere. The rooms are meticulously cleaned, spotless, and odor-free throughout. The bathroom has a wet/dry separation, the bedding is soft and gentle on the skin, and the soundproofing is excellent, ensuring a peaceful and comfortable night's sleep. The smart devices are comprehensive, and the robot room service is convenient and thoughtful.
The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety, including meat and vegetarian options, pastries, and drinks. In the evening, there's also a heartwarming late-night snack, which is a thoughtful and comforting touch. The hotel provides complimentary self-service laundry and drying facilities, as well as a parking lot. For guests with children, there's even a kids' play area and child-friendly amenities, showing great attention to detail. The front desk staff are warm and patient, handling check-ins efficiently and responding promptly to any issues. Overall, the facilities are complete, the service is warm, and the price is affordable. It's suitable for both family trips and short-term stays. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Pudong, and I wholeheartedly recommend it.
