Stayed here for 6 nights. Basically, it was like being right in the middle of a happening town! Love that there's delicious halal food nearby, beside Apple store (Pinhuiwei Muslim Northwestern Chinese)! The Bund is nearby, Adidas flagstore is there, Starbucks everywhere. Love the vibe here! Will I stay here again? Yes I will but Shanghai has to be the 1st stop in China because there's no self service laundry here. The only con in this trip, or else, it would have been perfect! Then I'll followed by Xi An then Beijing, as those two cities have free laundry! My last two days was the start of their May Day! The number of people walking through Nanjing Street was crazy, shown in photo! But, it was very orderly so everyone had a good time here!

I cannot rave enough about this hotel. From start to finish everything about my stay here was incredible. Thank you Xiao Wu and Xiao Ting for making this stay great. Xiao Wu especially was lovely. He created a kind, warm, and professional first impression of the hotel.
The room itself was unlike any I've ever stayed in which is why I chose it. Often pictures do not live up to the reality, but I feel like this room surpassed it. Another poster mentioned the costumes, which were indeed a cute touch. However, what stood out to me were the other small, but meaningful touches. There were bath salts near the bath which also had artificial rose petals and an eye steam mask on the sink. The bed was also strewn with petals without me having to especially request any of it. It really meant to the spa/romantic escape atmosphere. There was also a tub cover and toilet seat cover for sanitary use and floor towels for both the shower and the tub for safety.
Five Senses: This room appealed to all of them.
Touch: The bath towels themselves were the softest I've ever had at a hotel as was the robe. It wasn't the usual rough, abrasive texture. I don't know what they use differently their laundry, but it works!! The bed was also super comfortable
Hearing: I don't know if it was because of the location of the room or the way the room is designed, but it was also the quietest stay I have ever had in a hotel. I didn't hear a peep from my neighbors. Even if I had, I could have used the thoughtfully included ear plugs.
Smell: I'm not sure what the fragrance was, but the room smelled incredible. No smoke. No mildew. No bleach. Not overwhelming perfumed either. The scent was subtle but unmistakable and soothing.
Sight: Aesthetically pleasing in every way. A serene retreat from the sun, the heat, the busyness, and the bleakness and sterility of the city. The the many textures appealed not only to the hands, but to the eyes.
Taste: Water, tea (with real leaves and tea set), coffee, and soda are in the room. I was also offered some delicious cherry tomatoes to snack on when I checked in.
I could continue, but I've gone on long enough!! 😅
TLDR; Well worth the time, money, and an extended stay. Wonderful staff. Clean, aesthetically pleasing room with many comforts and amenities. Would highly recommend and definitely visit again.

Great location, very convenient for getting around. The view from the hotel window was lovely. I booked two different room types for two nights. The 1.2m and 1.5m beds are perfect for families traveling with a baby, and it's also a great spot for coffee lovers.

The reception team was very friendly and professional, and the room was clean. However, the bathroom was not at the expected level, and there was a lot of noise coming from the neighboring rooms. The room was also very small. In addition, there was disturbing construction and maintenance noise coming from the nearby building.
When I booked the hotel, its rating seemed excellent, but after staying there, I found it to be average rather than excellent.

The facilities, hygiene, and service are all excellent, and the accommodation is very good. Although it's a bit far, there's a very convenient complimentary shuttle bus to Pudong Airport's T1 and T2 terminals, running hourly. This makes it easy to arrange travel plans with a stopover at the terminals, so getting around becomes much more convenient. Plus, the hotel also offers a self-service breakfast. Overall, it's really good.

Located near the South Plaza, it's very close to both the train station and the subway. The room had a mini-fridge and plenty of drinking water. Breakfast was good, especially the freshly made noodles – the beef noodle soup had a generous amount of beef!

I booked this last minute for a business trip. All the Huazhu hotels were already priced at 700-800 RMB, but then I found this hotel apartment. At under 700 RMB, it was such a great deal! It's a one-bedroom, one-living room layout, offering excellent value for money and pure comfort. The bed was super comfy, not too soft, not too hard. The decor also felt quite new.
While breakfast isn't included, there's a convenience store and a McDonald's downstairs, so getting breakfast is really easy. Plus, it's right next to several big malls like Century Link, making the whole area incredibly convenient. I'll definitely stay here again on my next business trip.

Absolutely loved this hotel. We arrived very early in the morning from our flight and as our room was ready, they allowed us to check in early with no extra charge. The room was cleaned every day with fresh towels provided. We even had a massage chair in the room which was unexpected. The shower was amazing, hot water and great pressure. The bed was comfortable. For the price and location, I’d highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is perfect for anyone catching an early morning flight. There's a dedicated walkway from the hotel directly to the terminal, and it's only a ten-minute walk. The hotel environment is also great; even though it's at the airport, it's very quiet at night, allowing for a good rest. The front desk staff was also incredibly thoughtful – they not only upgraded my room but also provided complimentary snacks and drinks. Thumbs up! 👍

The hotel has a very nice environment, friendly staff and a nice dinnig service
Our stay in this hotel was excellent. It surpassed our expectations on every level. The rooms were big, clean and the beds were comfortable. We booked the hotel with the breakfast included and we loved it all three of including our 7 year old daughter. In other hotels in Shanghai we did not like the breakfast but this really was amazing. They served at breakfast a variety of food such as croissants in different flavours, in the moment made sushi, cakes, sausages, a variety of chinese food and lots more. We were not let down at all. The service in the hotel was great as well, they called is a taxi when needed and used the shuttle service to the airport. I would definitely stay here again.
The room is exactly as shown in the pictures, with a simple and elegant decoration style that I really like; all the facilities are beautifully arranged; the cleanliness is very high, so you can stay with peace of mind; the transportation around the hotel is convenient; the soundproofing is good, the air conditioning is cool, and I slept soundly all night; I will definitely choose this hotel again in the future; Xiao Shi at the front desk provided excellent service.👍
We have been traveling across China with 2 families for 5+ days (in this hotel 5 days). What I would like to admit is how the service is good (like the reception people are literally so friendly and welcoming, they always greeted us, helped us all the time and did everything they could) and the breakfast is amazing! (So many international people, multiculturalism). About the hotel: it was amazing too. The rooms are very cozy, nice, warm (they have a/c). The view was especially good, we had a nice view at the calm life of Shanghai and palm trees lol. The beds are comfy, warm. They do laundry by themselves, have free fruits from 15:00-16:00, foot massage. The reception helps with anything, I asked them for a latte coffee and pair of chopsticks at 3 am (they found it). The location is nice too, there is a subway station nearby (I had rode rent bikes every morning to subway). Overall, the hotel is very nice, with the best service from staff.
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it easy to relax after a day of exploring. The location is extremely strategic—right next to East Nanjing Pedestrian Street and only about a 7–10 minute walk to the Bund, which made sightseeing and shopping very convenient. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with recommendations. The hotel also provides a laundry room with washer, dryer, and detergent, as well as a small gym with basic equipment. We didn’t make use of these amenities during our stay, but it’s nice to know they’re available for guests. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value with its combination of comfort, convenience, and thoughtful facilities. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Shanghai.
I love love love my stay in ATOUR. First of all, I checked in at 3am in the morning, they were so fast and efficient that we were in our room within 10 mins of arriving. Travelling with wheelchair was not a problem here, it was fairly convenient as there is ramp everywhere along with super duper helpful staff everywhere. My elderly parents love especially the fact that they provided us with a lot of water bottles every single day as they do drink a lot of water. The midnight supper had a lot of choices eventhough it is for porridge but we look forward to it every single night. There is free laundry with free detergents and all, so you really don’t need to bring much. Only downside is, you do have to occasionally walk in from the roadside to the lobby as the security to open the gate is often not there. Last but not least, I want to give a special shoutout to 江平儿for being so helpful with my mom and our stay. She helped us tremendously as we needed help navigating the wheelchair at times.
Located in the heart of Shanghai's historic Juxingchang area, the former guesthouse of Air Force Unit 4 holds an unmissable and pivotal position in modern Chinese history. To be honest, I was initially hesitant; I had originally booked the Yan'an Hotel, but was persuaded by the travel agency to switch to this place. On the eve of the 24th anniversary of '913' (September 13th), I was in the attic room here, rushing to meet my school deadlines. On the evening of September 13th, Shanghai was hit by a heavy downpour. My family and I were having dinner at the adjacent Xi Family Garden. We borrowed two umbrellas from Manager Zhang at the front desk, one of his own and one from a colleague. I'm truly grateful for this trust, and also want to thank Manager Zhang for his thoughtful service over the past two days.

The room was fantastic, clean and comfortable. While the front desk staff service was excellent and very prompt reply. The breakfast was also good. The location is quite nice, with both Raffles and zhongshan park shopping malls just nearby with metro line 2,3,4. The area around it is a business district, and transportation is convenient. This hotel is definitely worth recommending. 👍👍

Citadines Gubei Apartment Hotel is a great place to stay in Shanghai. Convenient location, there are all the necessary shops nearby. The hotel itself is very comfortable, polite staff who always helps. We stayed with the children in a two-storey room and it was just a delight, we were very comfortable. Very comfortable beds. The room has a kitchen area, which was very convenient for us, we even used a washing machine. We liked the breakfast, the choice is very large. We will definitely return to the Citadines Gubei Apartment Hotel the next time we are in Shanghai.
