The staff were so friendly and welcoming, we arrived and rooms were spotless, everything we needed. Did have a little musty smell but it's an older building didn't spoil they stay. We ate in the lounge bar food was lovely staff again were great. We requested a quiet room and it was didn't hear a noise peaceful stay. There's a nature walk on the grounds it was nice of an evening to take a little stroll lovely surroundings I'd stay there again
Couple with dog.
For two nights we didn't have hot water. We rang reception an spoke to the duty manager - the second time...He told us it was because there was a coach load of people staying who had all taken a shower/bath at the same time on their return, and we would have to wait until it heated up again. That didn't allow for the lack of pressure - a trickle! In the end we gave up - no shower/bath. However, the duty manager assured us that the manager would find us the next morning.... this never happened, On the Saturday night the same thing happened. The excuse given by the receptionist for the manager not having found us that morning was there was a wedding and all managers were needed - they didn't start their shift until 11am. The duty manager couldn't speak to us as he was working at the wedding - Saturday night - but Leanne assured us that she had noted our complaint and that she had written up notes, and our inconvenience (now not having hot water for two nights of a three night stay) would be reflected in our invoice on checking out. This wasn't the point. The stay was supposed to be a relaxing, super special treat, not able to have a shower or a bath at night was NOT okay! She assured us that on the third night the 'tour' party and 'wedding party' would have left. So we would have hot water. Which we did.
On checking out the receptionist had no idea about our complaint, and therefore couldn't help us.
We are in the process of writing a compliant, and a review. The staff and hotel did not let you down - the management did!
I have a video of the water pressure.
On another point, the hotel is described as dog friendly. This might be the case. You can bring your dog for a fee of £25 a night, however, on check in we were told we had to eat in the bar area or outside. Luckily the weather was okay. However, we felt like second class citizens! Not only that but the bar area has no tables at which anyone could eat a meal - the tables are all low and only fit for snacks!
It’s an impressive building so I was having some expectations. The room it was a bit dated in the newer part. Not many amenities as you can expect from this kind of hotel. The bar area is really nice looking over a fabulous garden and so the restaurant. On that note the food was areal let down. I have ordered a Thai green curry chicken. I was soo looking forward to this but when arrived it was a total disappointment. The chicken was probably a leftover from another meal, very dry. The sauce was nothing like green curry and the rice it was microwaved. The waitresses were very lovely and apologised and the removed it from my bill. They said that they have an agency chef! So it’s a real shame !!
This hotel is the most cost-effective hotel in my trip to England, very value! The room is large, the bed and pillows are very comfortable, the facilities are complete, the parking is free, and the breakfast is superb! In fact, it should be an old manor transformation, the garden is super large, reminding me of Downton Manor. The little brother at the front desk is super humorous and has a rich expression.
Stayed at the hilton while we visited the Christmas market. We had a lovely weekend. Reception was excellent from the smooth booking in to the hot complimentary cookie. The room was spacious and comfortable and breakfast was excellent. Although the hotel is on the outskirts of the town it is no distance to walk in. Will definitely be visiting again .
.
The hotel's location is excellent, right by the River Avon. Stratford-upon-Avon is a small town, so all attractions are within walking distance. It's also not far from the train station, about a fifteen-minute walk. The breakfast spread was also very good.
The hotel is ideally situated for a short trip to Stratford upon Avon. Just a short walk into the centre.
The rooms are comfortable and the bed was large. Car parking is easy and plentiful. Not too expensive.
On the downside (slightly) there is no lift. But only 2 floors. The staff that we dealt with were friendly and helpful. No issues required resolving. We didn’t use the leisure facilities.
The hotel was lovely and the staff were professional, although they could have been slightly more friendly. The room did not have AC which was a big disappointment as we were very hot, but overall the facilities and spa was great.

YYuanI came to stay as I needed to attend a meeting in the Birmingham Business Park the next day morning. The B&B was on the edge of the Coleshill. It was an okay stay, and just about okay. I won't be against staying there again, but there is nothing special to lure me back either.
Plus: James ware expecting me when I arrived and showed me the key and the room. He also took my order for the next morning. The room was of decent size. There are lots of lights in the room. The bed was okay. There is on site parking space. The breakfast was ready when I walked down to the dining room.
Minus: At £148 a nigh this was certainly not good value for money. The facility was a bit basic, albeit adequate (tea/coffee/kettle/biscuits and hair dryer). There was one bottle for hair/body wash and there was a small soap in the bathroom. Bathroom is just about of adequate size for one person. The water temperate varied a bit while on show, but workable.
Also my room was on 2nd floor, with narrow steep stairs. It was okay for me as I traveled very light. But it would be tricky for someone with big luggage or mobility restraint.
DDawnieIn the countryside in Stratford in a beautiful timber beamed building. The room was dark but spacious. We had the family room with a double and two single. Breakfast was included. No menus but the waiter said any English breakfast combination which was great. I had two poached eggs. The only problem was a lack of communication regarding the usual route to find the hotel being closed due to road works. Navigating a one way system in an unfamiliar town with no email or call to let us know how we were to get to the hotel was extremely stressful and put us 1.5 hours behind the schedule to arrive. This could have been sorted if the hotel had contacted trip.com with the landline provided at booking and explained about road works so I could have been forwarned.
SShowkat GanieThe room itself was generally fine, and the heating worked perfectly. However, we experienced a significant issue with the bathroom: the water would not drain properly, leaving the floor flooded. We had to use a wiper to push the water toward the sink and drain (images attached), which was very inconvenient.
Another surprising and disappointing detail was that no towels or soap were provided. These are basic essentials in any hotel, and since we did not bring our own, we were charged extra for them. This felt completely unreasonable.
Finally, the location is far from ideal. The hotel is quite a distance from the town centre, and public transport is infrequent, making it difficult to get around. Would not recommend!!!
GGuest UserThe location was great - right in the middle of Stratford and ideal for a theatre visit. The room was small and pretty basic, but it was clean with comfy beds so fine for overnight. The communication from staff was great - no onsite parking but a clear explanation of where the nearest car park was (very close) and how to get the best price. Very helpful staff. Didn't use the bar area so can't comment on food or drink, but it was welcoming and there was a pleasant outside area. Tea / coffee and kettle provided. Clean if small shower room. Overall really good value for the price and would definitely stay there again.
GGuest UserThis is our 3rd stay here . It is a brilliant hotel in a great location for a theatre trip. Every detail has been thought of in the rooms except for reading light for bed in Fig room which we’ve stayed in twice now . Light is so poor you can’t read in bed . However that was the only criticism on the visit - everything else was excellent. Cooked breakfast is a treat in the lovely dining room .

XXueqingmeixiangVery good hotel, located in the center of the town, a five-minute walk to Shakespeare's birthplace. The garden and restaurant are connected and the environment is very good. The hotel's breakfast, coffee and bar are all great. The room is clean and spacious. It is worth going again!
