"The room was clean and tidy, but there was an unfamiliar grassy smell, I'm not sure what it was. I waited downstairs to check in, and a staff member from the self-service counter proactively helped me with the check-in process. There's an outlet mall right downstairs, which was super convenient for shopping. You could also try Qingbuliang and coconut chicken if you have time."

"Hotel was located in a convenient area, we could walk to the beach and didi to malls and other places were quite affordable. The hotel is quite old so it’s abit run down. Mattress is very hard. Cleanliness of the room is not very good too, we saw a cockroach in our bathroom on the first day … and there are stains on the tables / bathroom area. The staff were nice and friendly though. Facilities wise we only used the gym which was very small old and equipment was faulty. But the staff did say we can go to the opposite hotel for a better gym. Overall I would say location is the best aspect of this hotel."

"The location is good, very convenient for getting to Qilou Old Street, about a ten-minute walk. It's also easy to hail a taxi right outside the hotel. The hotel itself is clean and bright. When I checked in, an intern assisted me, who wasn't very experienced. As a Trip.com member, I was supposed to get a free room upgrade, but the hotel didn't mention it proactively. The first room I was given had a major issue. I called the front desk the first time, but they didn't seem to take it seriously. I waited for a while in the room and had to call a second time before someone was sent to deal with it. Since my friend was waiting downstairs to go out for dinner, I didn't argue much with the hotel. Later, the hotel called and offered to change my room and upgrade the room type. When I returned to the hotel in the afternoon, I saw that the so-called upgraded room type was actually the same as the initial room, just with a complimentary fruit platter… I'm including a picture of the scenery outside the hotel entrance, but won't post the bad ones. However, the hotel really needs to improve its management."

"The service was excellent, and check-in was very fast. We were traveling with two kids, and the front desk thoughtfully upgraded our room. The hotel also provided bed rails, so we didn't have to worry about the children falling off the bed at night. The price included breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and a late-night snack, so we basically never went hungry all day. There's also a swimming pool on the top floor, which the kids loved. When we went, they were just cleaning the pool, and the water was freshly refilled and very clean. We'll definitely come back again."

"This ocean-view B&B was an amazing experience! The room directly faces the sea with a wide-open view; you can see the ocean as soon as you open the window. The room was clean and tidy, warmly decorated, and the bedding was comfortable. The B&B's location is excellent, right by the sea as soon as you step out. The owner was warm and attentive, responding promptly to any questions. Falling asleep to the sound of waves at night really maximized the holiday vibe—highly recommend!"

"Upon entering the room, you could see the sea, which was a nice touch. Unfortunately, it was raining when I arrived, so the view wasn't as good as I'd hoped. At night, the sound of waves crashing on the beach was very conducive to sleep (I like white noise when I sleep, so if you prefer complete quiet, this might not be for you). Regarding cleanliness, since the entire room was white, there were some yellowish stains or noticeable smudges. However, they weren't too bad if you didn't look too closely. The hotel lobby had a café with a beautiful setting, perfect for photos. The pool was on the basement level next to the restaurant, and you could also access the beach directly from the pool area. The bathtub looked great for photos, but it wasn't very comfortable for bathing as it lacked non-slip features and handrails. There were plenty of local snacks nearby (coconut chicken, BBQ, dim sum, fusion cuisine – all available, though I didn't find much seafood). There were also many shops selling dresses and swimsuits, but very few selling regular clothes. If you plan to visit Yalong Bay or Wuzhizhou Island, I wouldn't recommend staying here, as the journey is quite long and would eat into your sightseeing time. It's fine if you just want to explore the immediate surroundings."

"I had a staycation in Sanya and stayed at Shilan Yu in Haitang Bay – it was an amazing experience! The overall aesthetic is a high-end wabi-sabi style, with cement gray and white walls paired with natural wood. The low-density courtyards are surrounded by tropical greenery, making it feel like a private little haven hidden in the rainforest. The Tiffany blue pool shimmers and glows, and just chilling in the water is the perfect holiday. They even have paddleboards! The room was also super comfortable. Pulling back the floor-to-ceiling curtains revealed a lush green view. The mini-fridge, Dyson hairdryer… everything felt so thoughtful. Breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening sweet soup are all included. The nine-grid afternoon tea even comes with dry ice mist, making it so picturesque you almost don't want to eat it. And the Hainan noodles for breakfast were really authentic."

"The scenery is excellent. I can faintly see crabs climbing on the reef from the pool. I really want to go down and touch the crabs, but the front desk said that I can't go down. We arrived at the hotel after the reservation. We didn't know that there was a shuttle bus. It was very timely. The luggage could be delivered to each room. The front desk and the brother who sent the luggage were very enthusiastic. They also upgraded. I met the manager and sent us some snacks. , Clearly, it is not sold on time! Send directly! In fact, it is not very timely, there is 3/4 months! I have never seen such a bright boss, the atmosphere has a pattern! ! I also sent us sunscreen, saying that I can't wipe my face for fear that we are allergic, and it expires in March next year, let us wipe our body! "The room was spacious with a separate shower and toilet. Although it's not far from Qilou Old Street, it was a bit inconvenient due to the occasional rain and traveling with a child. Haikou People's Park is right downstairs. After finishing 'laoba cha' (a local tea), we went into the park to stroll around and were surprised to see so many locals exercising and relaxing there; it was really lively."

"Overall verdict: Highly, highly recommended! We arrived close to 7:30 PM, as it was dark and difficult to drive. We missed the night rainforest tour and it was shift change for the front desk, so no one answered the phone. Our GPS led us to a parking lot but we couldn't find the hotel. Frustrated, I contacted the travel agency's customer service. Later, after understanding the situation and experiencing the stay, I would recommend it even more! 1. Upon arrival, I couldn't reach the front desk. A park security guard came to help me contact them and explained that the hotel needed to pick us up, and that it was quite a long trip down the mountain. The security guard chatted with us and later even helped with our luggage – he was fantastic! The driver who picked us up helped load our bags and then bowed to welcome us. I felt a bit embarrassed, as this country bumpkin had never received such treatment before! 2. The driver mentioned he rushed to pick us up in a sightseeing buggy, and that he could have used a business car but there wasn't time to switch, as we had also contacted customer service to expedite our pickup. If you're traveling with children, it's best to ask them to switch cars. My baby had just woken up, so I quickly put a hat on him – it was windy going up the mountain at night, so luckily he didn't catch a cold. 3. There was only one young lady at the hotel's night front desk. She came out to meet us upon arrival and helped carry our belongings upstairs. She also contacted the manager and a guide to arrange a special night rainforest tour for us. This activity is highly recommended! You'll see many animals you wouldn't see during the day, like frogs, lingzhi crabs, leopard geckos, and fish in the mountain spring. The guide also explained about the plants – it was really worth it!!! Much better than just wandering around and looking at the scenery during the day!!! Ladies, don't miss this if you come! 4. The travel agency provided welcome fruit, and my little one loved the bananas. Our suite was incredibly spacious, taking up an entire floor. This country bumpkin hasn't stayed in many fancy hotels, but I thought the hygiene was excellent; I didn't get itchy while sleeping. The hairdryer was a Laifen, and there were disposable toilet seat covers and bath covers. There were no bugs in the room either, which was great. 5. The hotel has a fish spa and a heated pool. I didn't see anyone in the main pool, but foreigners were using the heated pool at night. It was my first time smelling the scent of night-blooming jasmine upon entering the hotel. I initially thought the hotel had sprayed something, but it was a natural fragrance! It was very faint during the day, but incredibly strong on the way back to the room at night. 6. The hotel front desk was responsive to everything. Breakfast was also decent; at one point, the kitchen burned the chicken sausages, and the staff noticed and specifically told them to remove them. However, my request to pack some fruit for the baby was declined. 7. During the day, if you want to go down the mountain, they'll pick you up and drop you off quite quickly. Of course, the driver wasn't as enthusiastic as the one at night. We rested until check-out, stored our luggage, then wandered around and played. Afterwards, we rested and charged our devices in the hotel pavilion, asking for hot water to make formula for the baby, while waiting for the car to take us down the mountain. If you come, sisters, you can ask the hotel for bottled water to take with you – drinks in the park are so expensive! A classic popsicle was 6 yuan, my goodness. The front desk even gave us little woven dragonflies, so cute! My only regret is that we should have arrived earlier to enjoy the hotel more. You could consider a deeper exploration of the park; the map shows how huge it is! Get to bed early and then explore the animal area in the morning when there are fewer people. Later in the afternoon, there were so many Russian tour groups and student groups – just too many people!!!"
