"This hotel's location is absolutely unbeatable – it's directly across from Okaido and right next to the airport bus stop. Truly a prime spot! It offers excellent accessibility to major attractions like the 1-day bus tour, Matsuyama Castle, and Dogo Onsen. I appreciated the thoughtful services they offered, such as welcome drinks from 3 PM to 10 PM, one free alcoholic drink per night from 6 PM to 7:30 PM, and Ochazuke from 9 PM to 11 PM. It doesn't seem to be a new hotel; rather, it appears to be a rebranded property taken over by a different group from the former Tokyu Rei Hotel. However, there were a few disappointing aspects: 1. While I understand the trend of eco-plans and not servicing rooms for consecutive nights to a certain extent, not getting any service for a three-night stay was quite hard to comprehend. This was a significant drawback compared to other hotels of similar caliber. (Other comparable hotels typically don't service for two nights but do on the third, or offer a refund of around 300 yen per night or alternative services if you opt out of consecutive-night cleaning.) 2. The hotel was still under construction. The first-floor entrance and second-floor restaurant were inaccessible due to ongoing work. 3. The air conditioning was a serious issue. The temperature simply wouldn't go down, and the AC unit made an excessively loud noise. The number of available circulators was also limited, and I only managed to borrow one on my third night (you can't reserve them, so you just have to keep asking). If possible, I'd recommend spending a bit more to stay at ANA Crowne Plaza, Candeo, Dormy Inn, or Daiwa Roynet directly across the street instead. The staff members I encountered were all friendly, which is commendable, as they are simply following hotel policies set by upper management."

"They treat Western guests with far more enthusiasm. When checking in alongside Western guests, the front desk staff only escorted them to their floor, completely ignoring Asian guests like me. It's 2026, and this kind of preferential treatment for Westerners is so out of touch and frankly, a bit embarrassing. On top of that, the duvet cover was torn. Is the hotel really struggling that much? 😓 I'm staying here for three nights purely because I can't be bothered to switch hotels. Matsuyama Castle is quite nice, though. As an established hotel in Matsuyama, I'd hope for a bit more class and professionalism. Also, the room is a bit cramped; it's difficult to open a 30-inch suitcase."

"I really had a great stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and simple, with separate bath and toilet, a sauna, and the bathtub was so relaxing I could stretch my legs out for a long time. I really respect the architect who designed this hotel. I think it was the best hotel I've ever stayed at. The breakfast was Western-style and excellent. It was delicious. It was so comfortable that I relaxed right up until the last minute before check-out. It's in the Mitsukoshi building, and it's conveniently located along Okaido. I'll go again."

"It is right behind the main building of Dogo Onsen, and it is close to the station and has easy access to everything. In particular, there are Korean staff members who are very kind and solve any questions or problems, which made me feel at home. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the hot spring is small but clean, and the open-air bath is on the rooftop, so you can enjoy the hot spring while enjoying the beautiful view. The hot spring is small but not crowded and is leisurely."

"Staff is helpful with parking, parking charges is a bit on high side of 1200Yen as compared to those public carpark nearby. Additional charges for 1-2hr at 200Yen/30mins after 1100hr checkout, could have been waived as a service. Check-in / Check out process was smooth and room size was big. Location was great as just right next to shopping street. Overall, good hospitality from staff."

"Excellent! The location is fantastic, right on Ookaido Street, meaning you can shop comfortably protected from both sun and rain. The onsen (hot spring bath) on the upper floor was exceptionally clean and delightful. They also offer free laundry washing, with drying available for 100 yen. Step right outside, and you'll find the tram station and a bustling food street. Virtually all of Matsuyama's highly recommended restaurants are within easy walking distance. Cannot recommend enough!"

"We stayed as a family of three, including an elementary school-aged child. We paid the child's rate, but there were no amenities for the children and they had to sleep in the same bed as us, which was quite difficult with an older child. We didn't need amenities for everyone, but I would have liked at least towels for everyone. The room and bathroom were spacious, clean, luxurious, and comfortable."

"The hotel is located near Dogo Bath, a three- to four-minute walk from the bath. The environment is beautiful, and the facilities are complete (typical of hot spring hotels, including free massage chairs). The hot spring baths are comfortable, clean, and the staff are very helpful. The rooms are clean, and the breakfast is plentiful."

"I stayed here as part of my Tokyo Love Story pilgrimage. The facilities, hygiene, and environment were all absolutely perfect, truly impeccable. The only issue was that when I booked, it showed no breakfast included, but the reservation slip provided by the front desk indicated breakfast. I returned the breakfast voucher to the front desk and asked them to double-check, as 3000 yen isn't a small amount. The front desk said they would verify and call my room, but I never heard back, even until check-out. For a hotel of this caliber, I really think this is unacceptable, especially since this was the part I was most looking forward to in Matsuyama. However, despite this minor flaw, the rest of my experience was absolutely perfect."
