From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel like part of the family. A huge thank you to Aziz at reception and El Houssaine, who were both absolutely exceptional. Their kindness, warmth and genuine care made our stay so special. They didn’t just provide great service, they made us feel like we were staying with family, and that’s something we’ll never forget. We came to celebrate our anniversary, and without us even asking, they surprised us by setting up a beautifully romantic dinner table. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made our celebration incredibly special. It’s the little touches like this that create memories that last a lifetime. One evening, we got back from the Medina in the early hours after an adrenaline filled adventure exploring the bustling streets and markets. We mentioned that a nice cup of tea and some biscuits would be perfect to help us unwind, and by the time we arrived back, Aziz already had everything waiting for us with a smile. It was such a simple but incredibly thoughtful gesture that perfectly sums up the level of hospitality we experienced throughout our stay. A special thank you also goes to Yousara, for her warm greetings every single morning. The breakfasts were fresh, delicious and prepared with so much care. Starting each day with wonderful food made every morning something to look forward to. Thank you as well to another wonderful Aziz (who served us in the restaurant). Every day he looked after us so well, and when he realised our phone charger wasn’t working, he kindly lent us his own charger without us even having to ask again. That level of kindness and generosity says everything about the people who work here. And to the wonderful gentleman who welcomed us each morning at breakfast with a big smile and great energy, you made every breakfast feel special and set the tone for the day. We never forgot your warm welcome. Thank you for always making us feel so at home. The lunch and dinner deserves a special mention too. The chef is simply outstanding! Every meal was fresh, beautifully prepared and full of flavour. Honestly, the food here was far better than what we had at several of the rooftop restaurants in the Medina. We’re already missing every meal! The rooftop is something truly magical. Watching the sun set with the Atlas Mountains stretching out on one side, while the moon slowly rose above them as the sun disappeared on the opposite horizon, was breathtaking. No words, and certainly no photographs, can do that view justice. It’s something you simply have to experience for yourself. The hotel itself has everything you could want, stunning views, wonderfully comfortable beds, peaceful surroundings and an atmosphere that instantly helps you relax. It truly felt like a home away from home. To Aziz, El Houssaine and the entire team, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You didn’t just make our anniversary special, you made our whole trip unforgettable. Your kindness, professionalism and genuine hospitality are what make this place so unique, and you are all a huge credit to the hotel. Absolutely great experience in old style. Beautiful building run by friendly people that were always ready to help. Small but cosy rooms that were kept clean everyday. Very good breakfast! Really was sorry to miss one because of early departure for a trip one day. All staff always smiling, helpful and ready to brighten your day with mint tea (even late in the evening). Very communicative, I enjoyed having some small chat with them everyday. They also have spa and hammam that was nice to try after one particularly wet and cold day. I truly recommend this hotel to everyone!

I love the ambience, the decor and above all, the service that this riad has given from the moment we arrived until we checked out. The staff member that greeted us was very helpful and informative, and there were two night shift members who were incredibly helpful arranging our early breakfast (because we had to leave super early) and accompanied us to show the safest way to the square at the crack of the dawn. Even when we got lost on our way to the riad, the staff member also picked us up and helped us with our belongings. I would definitely recommend this riad to friends or family who want to make a trip to Morocco, especially Marrakech!

Stayed here recently after booking through Trip.com, and overall it was a really relaxing and unique experience. Location: The villa is about 30 minutes from Marrakesh city centre, so it’s definitely more on the quiet, countryside side. That’s great if you’re looking to unwind away from the chaos of the Medina, but just keep in mind you’ll need a taxi or arranged transport to get around. Ambience & Property: The place feels like a peaceful retreat. The pool area is beautiful, well-maintained, and surrounded by greenery and palm trees. Plenty of loungers and shaded spots to relax, which makes it perfect for a chill day. The architecture has a rustic Moroccan charm with small villa-style rooms that add to the cozy vibe. Rooms & Comfort: Rooms are simple but comfortable. Not ultra-luxury, but clean and nicely designed to match the overall aesthetic of the property. It feels more like staying at a private villa than a typical hotel. Service: Staff were friendly and helpful, though service can feel a bit laid-back at times (which honestly matches the vibe of the place). Food & Facilities: The poolside setup is great for relaxing, though food options might be limited compared to larger hotels. Best to plan meals or head into the city for more variety. Overall Experience: If you’re looking for a calm, aesthetic getaway with a beautiful pool and peaceful surroundings, this is a solid choice. If you prefer being close to the action, this might feel a bit too remote. Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) Great for relaxing, but location may not suit everyone.

Place is nice and clean, staff was also very helpful. However, do note that the address is not the actual address of the riad. I am travelling alone, and only booked this riad because it was right beside where my friends are staying. I only found out when I arrive that it is a 4-5mins walk from the actual address stated on trip.com. Which was very misleading and they should update the correct address. Kudos to the staff who was very nice to walk me out many times, as I prefer to have someone walk me in the early mornings, and at night. Provided water, and also very helpful and friendly. Another issue I had was that I arranged an airport transport to pick me from the airport, and was told the driver will be carrying the hotel sign with my name. I could not find the driver and panicked, again because I was travelling alone. I had to call the riad to realise that the driver was not carrying the correct sign, but another name similar to Riad Dar Massai, and did not have my name on it. Which was honestly impossible for me to recognise which is my driver. The sign should be made clear to guest first time in Marrakesh to just show ”RIAD DAR MASSAI + name of guest”. Finally, the aircon was great, but blankets were really thin. I know they provided extra blankets but I did not use it. So I am very cold at night. Apart from the few drawbacks, it is overall a beautifully designed Riad, I actually really loved the interior architecture, and the rooms are clean and spacious, showers are hot and nice.

I booked this hotel especially as a keen fitness enthusiast, I liked the photos of the gym on the trip.com site and wanted to keep up with my running and weight training. On arrival I was told there hadn’t been a gym there for a long time (years). This wasn’t a good start. The receptionists change often at the hotel and they make a big difference when we needed help. A few of the receptionists spoke excellent English and were so helpful. For example, a tour bus didn’t arrive one morning and the receptionist phoned the tour operator and was really helpful. I wish they had all spoken good English as it was quite stressful at times to understand them and versa versa. The rooms are in need of some TLC and an upgrade. Considering the entrance of the hotel looks so nice, the rooms are quite dismal. However, there was hot water for showers and the rooms were mostly cleaned each day. The breakfast was great with lots of choice and western options as well as Moroccan offerings. The chefs make omelette to request and another lady made delicious flat bread fresh in the morning. The photo is a view from our room. The staff at the hotel were friendly and welcoming which we found is typical of Moroccan people, genuinely nice people overall.

The staff were very helpful and attentive. The breakfast was generous and varied, with something for everyone, and the cleanliness was impeccable.

Very dissatisfied with the hotel's service. After I checked out, I found that my important medicine was forgotten in the hotel room. I called the hotel to help express it to Rabat. The hotel said no. I could contact my own contacts to get it. How can I operate as an exotic tourist? I am staying in a hotel just hoping to get help from a hotel in a foreign country.

Location: very near to the centre and other tourist spots. The area is well guarded as it next to the Royal Palais (which apparently where the royal family resides, you will find guards every corner, and they were all polite. On our first night we were scared at first as we thought the place looks dodgy but it changes quickly as there area is quite popular to other tourist and quite large number of riads could be find in the area. Breakfast: they served us bread, pancake, honey, cheese traingles, orange juice and coffee -generous amount of milk. They were also kind to provide us moroccan tea in the afternoon but you have to ask (whenask about the fee they say it's on the house) Massage: they offered very cheap massages comapre to other spa house, the massage lady was very sweet and friendly. They also offer cheap laundry but my husband lost one pair of his sock. They also serve other things like dinner (but we opted to eat outside) and ammenities. The only thing that we had a problem with is the bathroom because it does not drain quickly so we have to wait till it drained till the next person can do shower. Overall the riad is a good place, noting about their extra ammenities, friendly staff and its price.
