Athens Hotels with Balcony

"I highly recommend B48 Dafni. It’s slightly off the center but getting to the Acropolis takes a 20 min ride, which is totally fine. The design is minimalist and the apartment is pristine clean and has almost everything you need (cooking supplies, blow dryer, cleaning kit, even a small safe deposit box). There is a shop nearby and some cafes.  A couple of things worth mentioning: if you think about having romantic breakfasts in the balcony, you won’t because the flat is overlooking a very busy highway crossing the whole city, though the smell, the dust and the occasional car noise. The noise level in the room with window closed is ok and they also give you some earplugs just in case.  Note that there is no washing machine, as I was staying for 10 days I had to discover that the nearest laundromat requires a 20 min ride which makes a whole operation very time consuming.  Also the apartments are really located near one another (like hotel rooms). I had pretty noisy neighbours and there was no salvation to this lol :) earplugs do help.  Apart of all that I had really great time there. The bed is really good, the cleaning staff is very nice and helpful (since there is no reception desk they will be the only ones answering your questions non-digitally).  But it totally worth its price and if you’re looking for something cosy and not too pricy this is a very good solution."

"Aile olarak gittik ve yaş ortalaması yüksek bir grup olmasına rağmen herkes çok memnun kaldı. Odaları çok temiz. Her gün havlular değişti oda temizlendi. Kahvaltısı yurtdışı standartlarinin çok üzerindeydi. Meyvesinden kuru yemişine kadar her şeyi düşünmüşler. Bir daha Atina'ya gitsem yine bu otelde kalırım. Ayrıca personellerin hepsi güler yüzlü ve samimiyetle yaklaştı. En son gün otelden çok erken ayrılmamız gerekiyordu. Kahvaltınin ücreti önceden ödendiği için 11 kişiye ayrı ayrı kahvaltı paketi hazırlayıp verdiler. Havaalanında yedik ve yumurtaya kadar koymuşlar. Mükemmeldi çok teşekkür ediyorum 🙏🏻"

"Clean and comfortable hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The room was a bit different from the photos online, but still perfectly fine for a stay. The location is convenient, though it’s better to be cautious in the area during the evening. Overall, a pleasant experience. + wonderful breakfast"

"Our 2-night stay at this hotel in Athens was satisfying in terms of facilities and cleanliness, even though the location wasn't the best. As soon as you step inside, you feel like you've arrived at a truly nice hotel. The view from its balcony makes you feel that you're exactly in Athens as it looks towards its streets. The receptionist was helpful and provided a luggage storage area for us on our check-out day. It met our expectations and I would recommend it, but keep in mind that it's located in the backstreets of Athens. You are likely to encounter homeless people and some sketchy individuals, so just be aware of the surroundings before booking. Thanks!"

"The room was small; what they called a triple occupancy just meant an extra sofa. Luckily, there was plenty of counter space to put our things. Housekeeping came every two days, and we got mineral water upon check-in based on the number of guests, but it wasn't replenished during our stay. However, there's free water available on the first floor. There's a supermarket on the street behind the hotel, making it easy to buy water for 0.15 Euros. Convenience stores nearby charge 1 Euro. The surroundings aren't particularly scenic, just a regular street, a bit cluttered, like a third-tier city in China. The safety was fine; I was a bit nervous before coming, but there was nothing to worry about. It's close to the Acropolis, which is very convenient for sightseeing. There's a Chinese restaurant not far to the right when you exit, and also one towards the Acropolis. I just felt the value for money was really low. For this price, you could stay in a five-star hotel in China, but here it's just a budget hotel. It is what it is, I guess. Hardly needed any cash; credit cards were accepted everywhere. **Cleanliness:** Decent, clean and tidy. **Service:** Everyone greeted us upon entering and exiting, very enthusiastic."

"We arrived after 10 PM. I was a bit hesitant about taking a taxi, as I'd seen previous guest comments mentioning safety concerns. However, the area around the airport metro station was quite lively, and the hotel was just a short walk, a few hundred meters, off the main road. The front desk staff were lovely and made us feel very comfortable. Once we got into our room and saw the Acropolis lit up at night, all my worries completely melted away."

"I’m a solo traveller and I stayed here on my first trip to Athens. I wanted to be central to the attractions. The location was amazing! It is right on Monastiaki square where you can take the metro to and from the airport making it easy to get to! You can also use theirs to get around Athens! Low cost and easy to use! You can see the Acropolis right from the square! There are also lots of lovely restaurants and coffee shops around this area too! On arriving at the hotel the reception staff were very warm and welcoming. They helped me to arrange transportations and offered to prepare a takeaway breakfast bag for my early check out which was very kind! The room itself was quite large and clean with all of the amenities that you may need. The shower was hot which was good! The downside to the room is that it is very noisy from the outside due to it being on the square. It can get busy at nighttime, however I did expect this due to its location. I came prepared and brought earplugs to sleep in which did the trick! The breakfast is served in the rooftop bar. Plenty of choice and delicious pastries each day. Hot and cold options available which was nice! The views from here are amazing! You can sell all around you and have a view of the Acropolis as you enjoy your breakfast! Wow! Photos attached of the view from breakfast at the hotel rooftop and the square! I would recommend this hotel to stay on if you are wanting to be in the centre of Athens! Everything was accessible and the staff was always happy to help! Thank you so much for being so lovely during my stay! I would come back again! 😊"

"The Candia hotel was a very short and easy walk with a lot of luggage from the train station. I was able to check in an hour earlier than they state in the information and the receptionists were very helpful. The hotel is a short walk to the underground station in Thessaloniki from there it was a short train ride ( very exciting if you get a front seat) to all the museums and centre. The room at Candia was very large with a big bathroom and was very comfy, clean and relaxing. There are shutters in the windows that was good for the mornings. Nd the sun did not wake me up! Breakfast was amazing with a wide variety of hot and cold food. I especially liked the fruit and yoghurts with an array of extra bits for healthy toppings. The swimming pool was lively and I had fun in the sun. There were plenty of staff to help there and make my stay fabulous. The views from the top of the hotel were great and I wished I’d taken some images! Thessaloniki has a lot to offer travellers who enjoy culture, which is why I chose to stay there."

"It’s a city centre location; convenient, but loud, messy and dirty on the streets. Hotel is next to police station. Staff nice, BUT: no napkins at breakfast, no small spoon for coffe. You have to ask for them all the time. They have plant based milk, but you have to ask for that too. And at front desk they never said hello or good bye when coming and going. Room: clean, but the airconditioning is a pain in the ass. During the night you freeze, then it stops, then you sweat. So we caught a cold…Room cleaning was randomly done: they gave 1 new towel, didn’t collect the dirty ones and took the towel you step out the shower and didn’t give any new. Breakfast: all right, coffee not so good."

"The hotel is quite far from the center, so you’ll need to rely on public transportation regularly. There’s a bus station on the street that takes you to the nearest metro stop and into the city, but buses only run every 20–30 minutes. As for the room itself – when I booked the basic room, there were 36 photos that made me think the room would be larger. Maybe that was my mistake (or maybe intentional marketing?), but either way it felt misleading. The room was very clean, but the bathroom soap was the bright pink mall-style kind, and in the shower there was a bottle of clear liquid that honestly looked like bleach. I really hope that wasn’t meant to be shower gel. The room had no window, only a large door to the balcony, which makes it tricky if you want fresh air at night. The AC froze the small space (and I normally love sleeping with AC), but there was no blanket, only a very thin sheet. So the choice was either freezing or no air. There was no desk or chair in the room – if you want to sit, the only option is the bed. There was a washing machine, but no detergent tabs provided. I actually bought a box of 40 at the supermarket and left them there, but I have a feeling they didn’t stay for the next guest. Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again."
