The room is clean and a non-smoking area. However, the main issue is the staff’s attitude, especially the large Chinese receptionist, who had a kind of annoying expression. They asked for a deposit. I didn’t have any cash in rupiah, so I offered to pay in dollars, but he refused. He then tried to take my ID as proof and hold onto it. I said no and offered my driver’s licence instead, but he refused again, saying it was expired. I even offered to transfer the money using BCA banking, and he still refused. So I had to look for the nearest ATM at 11 PM, almost midnight?! In the end, he took my driver’s licence with an annoying expression on his face.

Great value for money, it has a pool and a lift 🛗. There's a front desk and even street food right outside. Plus, the location is excellent. The only downside is that you have to rent a hairdryer, and even then, they often run out. So, I just gave up on washing my hair, which felt pretty gross.

My partner and I stayed here for 7 nights, and while we had some challenges, the staff made a huge difference. The Good: • Mr. Deta: A massive thank you to Mr. Deta for his incredible hospitality. He was so friendly and supportive throughout our entire stay! • The Rooftop: The absolute highlight. It’s a fantastic place to chill, grab a drink, and enjoy the atmosphere. The Not-So-Good: • The Facilities: The gym is very small—fine for a quick stretch, but not much else. • Weather/Maintenance: It rained almost every day, and unfortunately, rainwater leaked through our window and onto the floor. It made the room quite uncomfortable for a while. The Recovery: The hotel team was professional about the leak. They moved us to a different room for our final night, which we really appreciated. Summary: A great spot for the social vibe and the service, but the building could use some maintenance to handle the heavy rain better!

The room had an overpowering incense smell. Overall, it's a good choice for a short stay, especially since it's very convenient to get around.

I stayed at Boss Legian as a solo traveler and found it to be a very solid choice for the price. The hotel has 4 floors and everything you need for a comfortable stay. The highlight is definitely the rooftop pool — it’s a great spot to relax and cool off after a day of exploring. There is also a restaurant on-site which is very convenient for a quick bite; the food is basic but good. The rooms are simple and clean, providing all the essentials. The location is perfect: close enough to the main Legian action, but quiet enough for a good night's sleep. If you are looking for a functional, no-frills hotel with a nice vibe, this is it. Pros: Rooftop pool, friendly staff, great value for money. Cons: Rooms are a bit compact, but perfect for one person.

The room is clean and the receptions are very nice and welcoming. The location is near to the restaurant, beachwalk mall, kuta beach, and spa places. So it's very convenient. One day I lost my earring and try to find it by myself but I couldn't find it, but fortunately when the housekeeper clean the room they find it and keep it for me. I really thankful for that!

+ a lot of interesting offers in the hotel + friendly staff, pools, good price for breakfast and buffet and motorbike rent - some rooms are very much aged and suffer from poor regular maintenance. - the cleaness is a big issue because the control is poor. No checklist after each cleaning to look to all details. I asked the cleaner to clean the outdoor table but she ignored it. The table stayed with dark leftover beer and by the time the cleaning such place. - the lights in the room does not help to find your things in the luggage area and does not offer any nice ambience.
