"Lovely hotel with amazing views! We had a comfortable nights stay here while travelling around Scotland. A lovely clean hotel. Very charming and nice gardens. We had family room 16 which overlooked the woodlands. Instead of a large room with two beds and a sofa bed, we had a spacious apartment - two bedrooms Nd a spectacularly clean bathroom. Considering the age of the property, it looked and smelt very nice. Why the reference to Fawlty Towers, you might ask? We had a very nice but harried waiter who added to the experience. He reminded us a lot of Manuel from FT. Sadly we were missing a Basil :)!"

"If you want somewhere a bit more individual then this is the place for you. Fantastic vintage decor and lovely food in an intimate setting made this a memorable experience for us and we hope to go back again. The area is lovely too; the hotel had some bikes and we were able to take them out on the old disused railway line."

"Booked 2 lodges for 4 couples over New Year. Absolutely perfect for us. Very cosy - even in sub zero temperatures and the setting in the pine trees with red squirrels and pheasants flitting about made it even better. Well equipped kitchen and cosy beds. Plenty space to congregate and eat. Easy walk into the village for shops and restaurants."
