Lijiang Hotels with Bars

"The hotel was not perfect, but I still rated 5/5 mainly due to the staff's super helpfulness. I highly recommend communicating with the hotel via Wechat beforehand. Taxis cannot reach the hotel's front gate, so you should ask the hotel to provide you with the address where taxis can drop you off. For us, we asked the hotel to help us book a pickup service from the railway station (40 CNY). While on the train, I chatted with the driver via Wechat and asked him to wait for us at the exit. It was very worth it as we didn't have to struggle with finding taxis outside the train station. Also, since the hotel knew what time we arrived, they also came in time to pick us up from the taxi drop off point and helped us with our luggage. It's about 200 meters' walk from the hotel. The hotel's gate is called Reading is Boutique (see my photo). I would have never found it had I not booked the pick up service. What I like about the hotel's location is that although it's a bit far from the main attractions (400m from the main square and 800m from the water wheel), it's very quiet. If I had booked a hotel in the center of the old town, I'd have suffered from immense noise from the nightclubs there. The hotel owner / staff (I'm not sure who he was) was super kind and helpful. He didn't speak English so we mostly communicated via Wechat where I could use the built-in translation tool. He gave me all information I needed and responded to my questions very quickly. Their breakfast was tasty - a bowl of noodles with 2 eggs per person. I ate the same breakfast for 3 mornings and didn't even get bored. On the second floor, there's a balcony where you could sit and enjoy a beautiful view of the old town. Our room was located on the ground floor. To be honest, it's a bit outdated already. The bed was not very comfy, and there was no door between the sleeping area and the toilet (only a curtain). However, it was fair enough with such a good price. It seems there's only one lady who does all the cleaning and housekeeping. She prepared breakfasts for us and helped us clean the room. However, we found a half-open bag of food from one of the drawers in our bedside cabinet - perhaps from a previous guest. Not sure how long it has been there though. I think rooms need better cleaning. Overall, if I had to choose again, I would still stay at this hotel. I appreciate all the transparency in communication, the location, and the vibe of this hotel. Highly recommend it!"

"What a hidden gem! I stumbled upon a review of this hotel three months ago and immediately booked my trip to Lijiang. I was a bit nervous before arriving, fearing I hadn't done enough research and might be disappointed by a decision made purely on a whim. But to my surprise, both days here exceeded all expectations. From the moment I checked in, I felt right at home. The location is perfect—quiet yet central. Just off a small lane, you're greeted by a charming vegetable garden. The hotel's food was also incredibly thoughtful, organic, and delicious. The room was very comfortable, and I truly didn't want to leave. I even bought a bottle of their homemade chili sauce on my way out. I hope they keep up the great work; we'll definitely be back!"

"Regrettably, I forgot to take photos inside the room, but it was a really cozy little courtyard with excellent value for money. The cleanliness was also top-notch. It's not located directly within the ancient town, which makes it quieter, but it's just a short walk away. The service was fantastic; they'd greet you like friends when you came and went, and they were very observant, always offering to help with luggage. Remember to pack extra clothes, Lijiang can be quite cold – I was so grateful the owner lent me some clothes, or I would have frozen! The experience was great, and I chose to extend my stay. If you're a social butterfly, you can even enjoy a drink with the owner, and their recommendations for places to visit are excellent too!"

"The room was clean and tidy, and the hotel's location was excellent, very close to the old town. There's also Heilongtan Park nearby, making it convenient for dining and entertainment. The front desk staff were very helpful and always ready to answer any questions. The hotel facilities and environment were also quite good; the room even had a smart toilet. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience."

"YIYUN hotel was the best hotel that I ever had in my china trip so far. Clean and cozy design with beautiful wood art. They gave me free tea and flower cake which was very delicious. In the corridor there was a lot of area to sit and have tea. Because I have been for 3 days they grant me a free transport to lijiang train station which makes my journey easier. The blankets was very clean. This Orel is very near the ancient city which you just need to walk few minutes to reach to so many beautiful places recommend by them. Overall I can say I enjoyed and I recommend it to who needs good quality and price is very reasonable."

"The suite's setup is perfect for families with two children, keeping up with the times and aligning with the current national policy encouraging childbirth. Ms. Qianyue at the front desk was incredibly enthusiastic and, despite our late evening arrival, still made sure to send us afternoon tea. Even though we said we didn't need a refund for unused services in our package, the hotel still proactively credited us for those benefits after we checked out. This is a business with integrity, highly commendable. The hotel's location is excellent, close to Heilongtan Park, making it easy to see the 'Golden Mountain in the Sun' and the reflection of the snowy mountains. Xiangshan Comprehensive Market is just a few minutes' walk away, perfect for buying fresh fruit. The hotel breakfast is also delicious, and the lobby even thoughtfully provides convenient amenities like ginger tea. A truly considerate business."

"The hotel environment is lovely and very comfortable. The room was quite clean, and the amenities were complete. The bedding was super comfortable, and the pillow height was perfect for me, so I slept really well that night. All the staff at the hotel were incredibly welcoming; they invited us to have tea in the tearoom and even gifted us a travel photoshoot. The photos turned out wonderfully! The breakfast the next day was delicious, especially the Yunnan Ersi noodles – it was my first time trying them, and I absolutely loved the texture. The hotel's location is excellent, and it has its own parking lot, which is very convenient for self-drivers. Taxis can drop you right at the hotel entrance, so you don't have to drag your luggage around. It was super easy to walk to the ancient city from the hotel in the evening; we reached the Big Waterwheel in just 3 minutes. Don't miss the bonfire party in the ancient city at night! This trip was very enjoyable, and choosing Fini Hotel made our short happy time even better."

"The hotel's attention to detail is truly impressive. Each floor's hallway is adorned with fresh flowers, creating a delightful floral scent that lingers as you walk by. The ambiance is elegant and welcoming, with a fantastic vibe that instantly lifts your spirits. The hotel's amenities are also excellent. On the seventh floor, there's an executive lounge, a café, and a gym. You can work out at the gym in your free time or relax with a coffee at the café when you're tired. The biggest surprise is the incredible view from the seventh floor. If you're lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of the stunning 'Rizhao Jinshan' (Golden Mountain in the Sunlight) in the distance, a breathtaking and unique viewing experience."

"The hotel is in a fantastic location, right in the heart of the Old Town, super close to Sifang Street and the Bar Street. It's really convenient for getting around and exploring, plus you get amazing panoramic views of Lijiang Old Town. We had two rooms that even came with a private terrace – perfect for enjoying tea and chatting, so relaxing!"

"This hotel boasts an excellent location, making it super convenient to get around, especially being so close to Shuhe Ancient Town. The hotel itself has a beautiful Naxi style, and the room designs are full of ethnic character. The decor is thoughtfully arranged and everything is spotlessly clean. We booked a 'snow view' room, which was spacious and comfortable, and relaxing on the balcony was pure bliss. The hotel's facilities are comprehensive, including a gym, a swimming pool, and even a spa. They also offer a variety of activities, like feeding animals or tea tasting. Even though it rained during our stay, it added a unique charm to the atmosphere. Christin at the front desk was very attentive and kindly asked about our stay experience. I would definitely come back again if I have the chance!"
