"Located in a prime downtown spot, it's convenient for getting anywhere. Downstairs is very lively with restaurants, a food street, and a shopping complex all in one. During weekdays in summer, there were many foreign guests... and quite a few elderly Chinese too. The front desk often had queues for check-in, and there were always people waiting for taxis outside. Business was really good, yet the room offered excellent value for money! Thanks for the free upgrade to a deluxe suite~ It was newly renovated. I was on a business trip and decided to bring my mom along so she could relax and enjoy herself. **Facilities** They offer a table tennis room, a swimming pool, and a gym. No robots for food delivery pick-up though. **Hygiene** Clean. **Environment** The overall environment is good. The old five-star hotel is very well maintained; it doesn't feel old or dated. The room was newly renovated, but the sense of space wasn't huge, and the bathroom was a bit small. **Service** The service attitude was excellent and professional."

Hotel near Pudong New International Expo Center/World Expo Area,Shanghai
German Precision, Intelligent Serenity Rooted in German engineering and elevated by smart technology, the hotel distills minimalist aesthetics and efficient philosophy into every detail. In the room, the Delong kettle steams with the warmth of a European morning mist, while the Xiaodu smart system acts as an invisible butler. At a gentle touch, electronic curtains glide open or closed, and the Serta mattress cradles you with cloud-like support, turning travel fatigue into a night of dreamless slumber. This is more than a place to rest—it’s an energy field where body and mind find balance between German rigor and technological warmth. Agile Meetings, Business Excellence The meeting spaces are designed with “fluid order” as their core, breaking free from traditional constraints with flexible layouts. Independent projectors and sound systems function like precise gears, providing efficient support for strategic collisions and creative sparks. Whether it’s a grand narrative of a hundred-person training or the low whispers of a private gathering, this space uses modern facilities and a tranquil atmosphere to become the ideal stage for writing your business chapter—making every collaboration a memorable footnote. German Soul, Social Feast The restaurant uses the seasons as its script and German flavors as its ink, blending Bavarian boldness with the freshness of local ingredients into a symphony on the tongue. In the classic bar, the amber foam of imported beer intertwines with the mellow aftertaste of whiskey, while the laughter of Happy Hour jumps like musical notes, warming up social interactions in a gentle buzz. The coffee aroma in the lobby bar tells another story: the burnt fragrance of freshly ground beans and the artistry of latte foam provide a “quiet room in the bustle” for business talks or solitary放空, slowing down time and awakening inspiration in the scent. Tranquil Oasis, Energy Sanctuary The lobby lounge uses “negative space” as its design philosophy, with a layout that deeply understands the rhythm of business travel. Light gray sofas act as silent islands, receiving visitors for brief stops; the combination of greenery and warm light quietly filters out urban restlessness. Here, you can be a decision-maker refining a plan with partners, or a traveler flipping through an itinerary—regardless of identity, this space embraces you with tranquil tolerance, allowing you to find a moment of respite in a tight schedule and recharge for the next leg of the journey. Revitalizing Body, Private Sanctuary The gym takes “privacy” as its keyword, striking a delicate balance between professional equipment and private space. In the morning, sunlight spills onto the treadmill through floor-to-ceiling windows, where sweat dances with the dawn to awaken dormant vitality; at night, the gasps of strength training and the stretching on yoga mats become a ritual to release pressure. This is not just a workout space, but a spiritual corner for business travelers to dialogue with themselves and regain balance outside of rational work—making health the most solid confidence during business travel. Effortless Care, Quality Companion The laundry room interprets German craftsmanship through details: top-tier commercial equipment functions like precise instruments, with high-temperature and UV double disinfection building a hygiene fortress; the separate washing and drying zones act as a “custom courtesy” for clothes, protecting every fiber’s softness. Behind the free service lies a deep understanding of “worry-free travel”—when you arrive dusty with luggage, clean, fresh clothes are already waiting, allowing you to focus on what truly matters without distraction.

"Came to the New International Expo Center for an exhibition and chose the nearest hotel, and the experience exceeded my expectations. The room was spacious and bright, and most importantly, very clean. It also had smart features for quickly turning lights on/off and opening/closing curtains. The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices and tasted good. I especially want to commend the front desk staff; their service was warm, thoughtful, and meticulous. They responded promptly to my requests, providing me with a memory foam pillow I needed and even helping me mail back an item I left behind. Overall, it was an exceptionally pleasant stay, and I will definitely choose this hotel again in the future!"

Sunshine Hotel is located southwest of the city center, about ten kilometers from People's Square. It is nine kilometers from the railway station and eight kilometers from Hongqiao Airport. This Shanghai hotel's variously sized rooms are equipped with telephones, televisions, safes and central air conditioning.Restaurants here serve both Chinese and Western foods. The Chinese restaurant serves delicious Hunan cuisine. For business people, the hotel has a business center offering photocopying, fax and word-processing services, as well as secretarial support. The hotel has a number of recreational facilities, ranging from the relaxing bar, shopping center, beauty salon and sauna to the entertaining karaoke and disco.

"Atmosphere: The environment is beautiful, and the decor and soft furnishings are very thoughtfully designed and unique. Facilities: Actually, before booking this hotel, I'd noticed some negative reviews about noise. Since I was traveling with family, I was really hesitant before booking! But the hotel we'd booked previously, for over a thousand yuan, had very small windows. My family was in town for follow-up medical appointments, and I was worried that staying in such a cramped room for an extended period would be depressing. I figured I'd take a chance, worst case scenario we'd just move. Luckily, the room wasn't as bad as some of the negative reviews suggested. My family was very satisfied, the view was great, and everyone slept well."

"The air conditioning was great and the water was hot, but the soundproofing was really poor and the room was tiny. However, considering the location, it's still pretty good value for money overall. The service was excellent, and there's even craft beer downstairs. The hotel is super close to the 'Three Piece Suit' (Oriental Pearl Tower, Jin Mao Tower, Shanghai World Financial Center) and the ferry terminal, so it's a good place to stay!"

Hotel near Shanghai Disney Resort,Shanghai
The Courtyard by Marriott (Shanghai International Resort) is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. The Courtyard by Marriott (Shanghai International Resort) offers a pleasant stay in Shanghai for those traveling for business or leisure. Shanghai Pudong International Airport and Shanghainan Railway Station are located 19km and 23km away respectively. Just a short walk from Kangxin Highway Metro Station, traveling to most city destinations is a breeze. There is no shortage of things to see in the area, with the Longyoupu, Xingye Helicopter Flight Base and SoReal VR SuperSpace all nearby. In their spare time, guests can explore the hotel's surroundings. Guests of this Shanghai hotel can make use of the parking facilities. According to our guests, this hotel provides a very high level of service. For guests traveling with families, this hotel is consistently one of the most popular choices.

"Pros: 1. This is probably the closest well-known brand hotel to Disney. The shuttle service is excellent, with frequent trips covering Disney, the airport, and the train station (Image 1). 2. The room was clean and the staff were friendly! The minibar offered free chips and drinks, though unfortunately, it was a fixed selection of only two cans per day (Image 7). There was plenty of complimentary bottled water. Cons: 1. The room lighting was too dim, especially in the bathroom. I suggest increasing the wattage of the lights. 2. The bathroom lacked hooks or other facilities to hang clothes or towels. I highly recommend adding hooks. 3. The showerhead needs to be replaced; the spray area is too small. I suggest checking out the Courtyard by Marriott Puxi for reference. 4. The closet was narrow and long, with very little hanging space, so it couldn't accommodate many coats (Image 6). 5. It would be perfect if they could add a FamilyMart convenience store at the entrance, similar to the nearby Novotel (which even shares the same airport shuttle bus!)."

Summary: The worst service I've ever encountered in a hotel of this caliber. I stayed for 2 days. On the first night when I checked in, I noticed there was no doorman at the hotel entrance to open car doors or help with luggage. I asked the front desk if no one was on duty at night. The manager, who had a great attitude, said someone might have been out delivering something, and that it was quieter at night but they would improve. (He had a very good attitude and offered me breakfast, though I didn't eat it as I don't usually have breakfast). Then I asked the front desk for a latex pillow. I waited for half an hour upstairs, but it wasn't delivered. When I called, they said they forgot. Next, while looking for a charging port by the bed, I knocked over a glass and got really annoyed as to why the glass was placed by the bedside late at night (this was my fault, as I was quite angry at the time). The manager, with a great attitude, came to help clean it up, and I even went to the front desk the next day to apologize. Second day: I left my earphones, cigarettes, and lighter in the car. I messaged the driver to arrange for the concierge to bring them up. They were never brought up until the next day when I was checking out to go to the airport. I asked the driver why they hadn't been brought up, and the driver said he had given them to the concierge last night. I went to ask: the concierge said they forgot to deliver them. By the way: when I returned to the hotel on the second night, I still noticed there was no doorman or security. Car doors and luggage were unattended. I really don't know! What exactly is the concierge at this hotel doing! What are they responsible for!!! Facilities: The facilities are very good, the rooms are large, and the walk-in closet is excellent. I usually try out the pool and gym at every hotel, but I wasn't in the mood this time. I won't be coming back.

Stayed at this hotel for a concert in Shanghai and had a great overall experience. First off, it's super close to the subway, which takes you directly to the Shanghai Stadium in just a few stops. The hotel's cleanliness was excellent; even though the bathroom was shared, someone was always cleaning it – I'd finish showering and someone would be in there mopping right away. The soundproofing isn't amazing, but it wasn't noisy at all. It's perfect for solo travelers attending concerts or events. Oh, and I found the front desk staff really helpful. Someone even personally escorted me to my room, and late check-out was also an option. If my good review could get me a discount voucher or something, that would be even better!

am writing to file a formal complaint about my stay at the Ritz-Carlton Shanghai. The experience was absolutely unacceptable: · The plumbing was a disaster — the toilet wouldn't flush properly. · The water temperature in the shower was completely unadjustable. I spent 15 minutes twisting the tap all the way to cold, but the water never changed temperature — it stayed scalding hot the entire time. · No basic sofa or settee in the room — nowhere to sit or lie down except the bed. And this wasn't a standard room — this was a suite. · The appliances and furniture look at least 20 years old, with visible signs of wear and tear everywhere. · I left my phone to charge overnight — I specifically checked that the charger was working before going to bed. Woke up in the morning to find my phone hadn't charged at all. The power outlets work intermittently at best. · The Wi-Fi was terrible — slow and with extremely low data throughput. It kept buffering and disconnecting, making it impossible to get any work done or even browse normally. · No razor provided in the bathroom. · The hairdryer had no attachments — not a single nozzle or diffuser. And to make things even worse, there wasn't a single power outlet in the bathroom. So in a 5-star hotel, I had to dry my hair next to the bed, with no mirror nearby. Absolutely ridiculous. · The breakfast was very mediocre — just a plain omelet with bacon, and they still managed to ruin it. To top it all off, I decided to order room service. The delivery driver dropped off my food at the reception desk at 10:20 PM and sent me a photo as proof. Do you know how long I had to wait for someone to bring it up to my room? 40 minutes. I went down to the front desk twice to ask about my order, and no one even apologized. We're in the 21st century — most hotels have delivery robots that bring food to your door in 5 minutes. Here, I paid three or four times as much and received this level of service. It's simply insulting. I have already canceled my second night and am checking out early. For this kind of money and with this kind of service, this stay was a complete disgrace. I expect a substantial refund for the night I actually spent here.

Our staycation was fantastic! 👍 I contacted the hotel in advance to arrange a bed rail and bottle sterilizer. Elio at the front desk was super nice ❤️. The pool experience was amazing, with a 0.5m children's pool equipped with water play facilities, and a 0.9m massage pool that even our baby could enjoy. The lifeguards were incredibly attentive, constantly keeping an eye on every family. When we left our swim ring in the room, one of them immediately gave our baby a floating board. The gym is full-sized, and I saw many group classes I'd love to try next time. The kids' play area is huge; our 18-month-old had a blast climbing around. Hotel guests get 24-hour access, covering two days. The hotel food is also suitable for small children, so no need to bring your own baby food! Plus, it's connected to Kerry Parkside, so you can buy anything you need on the spot. My husband said he wants to come for a staycation twice a month now!

Purely came here with the kids for a change of scenery to do homework. All the staff were great. There was a slight issue with the TV, but it was promptly resolved after we reported it. The night snack server was very nice, and the tangerine peel red bean soup was delicious. They even provided extra ice cubes on the side, which shows great attention to detail. Banyan Tree Shanghai On The Bund

CNAnonymous User
I chose this hotel because it was recommended by Ctrip as the number one hotel for room views. I often stay at Banyan Tree hotels when I'm vacationing abroad. However, the Banyan Tree Shanghai was quite a disappointment. First, I'm not sure how it topped Ctrip's list. There are many hotels with better views at the same price point. The standard rooms here only offer a view of the river. If you're going for a deluxe room, there are definitely better hotels to choose from. I arrived at the hotel around 9 PM, and the ambient lighting was very dim, which gave a poor first impression. During check-in, it was the first time a five-star hotel tried to upsell me a room upgrade. It felt like I was at an all-season hotel being pushed to sign up for a membership card. I mentioned that it was my birthday the next day and asked if the hotel could provide some decorations. The response was that I'd need to inform the front desk again tomorrow for the decoration service. Why do I need to inform them twice? Most hotels offer concierge services nowadays, but Banyan Tree requires me to go to the front desk again the next day for decorations. This really shows a lack of service awareness. Ctrip automatically offers room upgrades, and since it was my birthday, I rarely encounter situations where an upgrade isn't given. When I asked why I couldn't be upgraded, they said there were no rooms available. However, I checked the room availability and saw there were. When I asked again, they replied it depends on the situation and couldn't be arranged at that moment. Upon reaching my room, I ordered takeout, only to find that it could only be delivered to the entrance. I then had to call the front desk to confirm my order before staff would bring it up, which was very inconvenient. After opening the window, the view was actually mediocre – half river view, half of the offices in the opposite securities building (clearly visible). It was a far cry from the advertised scenic views. I wanted to upgrade my room and asked a staff member to show me around. After the tour, I was told there were no rooms available. I went to the hotel pool and found it to be an underground children's pool, also selling ** fitness packages. The pool walls were old and moldy. I really wouldn't recommend it. On the positive side: The staff member who showed me the upgraded room, the restaurant staff, the bellboy, and the rooftop bar staff were all very pleasant and provided genuine service. The hotel breakfast was excellent, plentiful, and delicious, and served until 12 PM. Check-out time could be arranged flexibly. Ignoring the view with the window closed, the room space arrangement was very good. In summary: It's an older five-star hotel, half of which feels outdated and the upselling felt a bit 'low-rent.' The other half still maintains the standards of a high-end hotel. Overall, the value for money is low, and the comfort level is also low.

Stepping into the room, I was immediately greeted by the towering 'Huangpu River Four-Piece Set' (referring to the iconic skyscrapers) outside the window. Sitting on the sofa, the Huangpu River unfolded before me like a dynamic scroll painting. The bedding was incredibly soft and delicate; I instinctively wrapped myself tightly in the duvet. The Aesop pine-scented amenities were elegant and long-lasting, perfectly matching the Waldorf's style. The walk-in closet was well-designed and practical. I had bought some 'Ice Beauty,' 'Goddess,' 'Pink Iron Cannon,' and 'Orange Dream' flowers, and was using the room's trash can as a makeshift vase. The thoughtful Nini noticed and kindly replaced it with a beautiful glass vase. 👍 Aaron and Katrina provided meticulous and attentive service. It was a great 4-day experience. I'll definitely be back.
