"I randomly picked this hotel for a business trip, and it completely exceeded my expectations – a pleasant surprise! The location is incredibly convenient, and the service quality of this long-standing hotel is truly exceptional. Many of the staff members are locals from Shanghai, and they are all incredibly friendly and approachable. You can always see many international guests around the hotel, which clearly indicates that it's consistently busy. The overall experience was fantastic, and I highly recommend it!"

"A great stay, really nothing to complain about overall. The room hygiene was excellent; the room was thoroughly cleaned, the bedding was spotless, and there was no standing water or grime in the bathroom, making for a very reassuring stay. All the room facilities were complete and in good working order, with all appliances running stably. They basically had everything you'd need for travel and accommodation. The hotel offers shuttle services to Disneyland and Pudong Airport. The front desk staff were patient and answered all my questions about sightseeing and shuttle arrangements diligently. This hotel is a really great option with high value for money."

"If you travel in Shanghai, in my opinion this hotel is one of your best choices. The room is clean and comfortable, and also which is the most important thing is it is very convincing for visitor to find it. And almost all the famous places for visitor that must have a visit are just nearby the hotel. It is on the Nanjing Road and you can just walk to the Waitan and Lujiazui very convinice to visitors. Last I really wanna show my sincerely thanks to all staffs especially Mr.Jimmy Zhu and Staff No.078 staff. During our staying, they really showed their professionalism and helped us a lot. As a visitor, I really appreciate it and thanks."

"When in Lujiazui, Pudong Shangri-La is always my first choice. The hotel is well-maintained, and Sean Zhu, the front desk manager, arranged my room in advance. I'm very satisfied with it – it's spacious with a great view. He was friendly and polite. The room was exceptionally clean, and any requests were promptly attended to. During check-in, he also helped register my license plate into the system. Overall, it was an excellent experience, and I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Shanghai."

"Pros: 1. Good soundproofing on the 27th floor. 2. Cleanliness was not an issue. 3. A dedicated staff member brought my luggage to my door, and when I checked out, the manager proactively asked about my stay and feedback. 4. The 7th-floor gym provides wash basins, shower rooms, and hair dryers, which can still be used after check-out. Cons: 1. The front desk staff, July, had a very cold attitude, expression, and tone. It's the first time I've encountered such a sour face at a hotel. She abruptly cut me off before I even finished speaking. 2. The toilet flush was weak and lacked power, making it quite awkward for larger uses. 3. The windows couldn't be opened, making the room very damp, stuffy, and with a musty smell. Running the air conditioning didn't help. 4. The hairdryer was old, dirty, and as heavy as a small dumbbell. The most inconvenient part was the loose plug, which often disconnected from the socket while I was drying my hair. 5. Food delivery couldn't be brought upstairs; I had to go outside the hotel to the delivery locker to pick it up. 6. Several staff members were unprofessional and need more training: For example, the staff member who led me to the 7th floor didn't even know that the gym provided wash and shower facilities and even questioned me about where I heard that. And when she saw her colleague at the gym, she just stood there blankly instead of asking, so I had to carry my large suitcase in myself. / Another example: when I was checking in, a staff member standing nearby just watched someone cut in line without intervening, which was infuriating! / Also, when I told the luggage storage staff that I couldn't find my luggage tag, they didn't even ask for my room number or name. They just directly told me to choose which suitcase was mine – making me concerned about luggage security! What if my suitcase looked similar to someone else's and could be picked up so easily? Finally, I have to say that the overall experience of this stay was far from worth the price!"

"Met up with a friend for a weekend staycation in the city, and we came to Jile Hot Springs to relax. The entire third floor is guest rooms, and business was booming, almost fully booked. After a tiring day of fun, you can head straight upstairs to rest – it was so incredibly relaxing. The room wasn't huge, but it was very clean, and they even had an air freshener. Breakfast tasted good, though the variety wasn't extensive, it was certainly filling. The staff were efficient and professional, and the front desk handled services very quickly."

The wooden floors, bathed in soft light, complement the clean and refined bathroom. A day spent here feels utterly relaxed and unhurried. Breakfast is simple yet nourishing. Warm soy milk soothes the stomach, while corn, sweet potatoes, and steamed buns provide ample carbs. Stir-fried seasonal vegetables, alongside braised meats and nuts, offer a balanced and wholesome meal, preparing you for the day ahead. In the afternoon, I headed to the hotel's pool for a refreshing swim. The crystal-clear water shimmered with ripples. Underwater, the water enveloped my body, stretching my shoulders and back, relieving the fatigue from prolonged sitting. Switching to breaststroke, the kicking and pulling stretched my core and limbs, my heart and lungs rising and falling rhythmically. Sweat dissipated with the water, washing away all my accumulated weariness. After my swim, I moved to ”Xiji Gangjiu” to try some Cantonese dim sum. Each dish was a delight. Garlic oysters are nourishing and rich in protein, while spring onion chicken replenishes vital energy. Fresh shrimp and coriander dumplings are light and appetizing. Beef balls with choi sum provide excellent protein and dietary fiber, and the two-tone water chestnut cake is delightfully sweet and refreshing. The combination of seafood, poultry, vegetables, and grains was well-balanced—fresh, not greasy, and wonderfully wholesome. A dip in the 'azure waters' stretched my muscles and bones, a 'Cantonese feast' nourished my body, and the elegant room provided a sanctuary for my mind. With a perfect blend of activity and rest, and nourishing food, a day of leisure at Donghu Hotel brought a deep sense of peace, relaxation, and freedom."
