Ito Hotels with Bars

"If you're undecided about which hot spring inn to choose in Ito, I highly recommend this one. It's a lovely, cozy inn with excellent hot springs and delicious food. Both the large public bath and the private baths were incredibly relaxing. The water was wonderful, leaving my skin feeling smooth. The meals were also exquisitely seasoned and delicious. They even showed creativity by changing the sauce for the abalone. Since it was late March, the menu was spring-like, focusing on fresh shellfish (there was also steak). I don't like large portions of fatty food or excessive amounts of food, so the portion sizes were just right, and the menu balance was perfect. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The lobby had a well-selected collection of games for rent, which the children enjoyed. If I had to mention one minor concern, it would be: * The private dining room was very dark even in the morning (the atmosphere was wonderful for dinner, though). It would be nice if they could adjust the lighting in the mornings. Also, since the smoking area is right next to the inn's main entrance, the view and smell are bothersome. I think it would be better to have a separate smoking area. Overall, it was a very nice inn! Thank you very much."

"Amazing ryokan! Located conveniently close to the railway station it blends into local woods with its many small villas and paths. The room was nice and had our own balcony looking out to the woods. There was no lack of amenities, futons were comfortable, AC worked just fine, and the wi-fi connection was probably the best we've encountered in Japan. We've tried 3 of 9 private baths and all of them were quite pleasant. However, the Kuromoji bath's door to the outdoor onsen didn't close all the way so it was chilly in the indoor bath, and the Hina bath had just 1 shower (we kind of expected at least 2). The food was excellent! We enjoyed all the courses of dinner and breakfast, but I must say the quantity of dinner dishes was just enough to be 80% full. If you are accustomed to Japanese portions, you might find this dinner too light. All in all, we enjoyed our stay in Hanafubuki ryokan and would love to come again!"

"The overall is very comfortable: the room is very large, there is also a Japanese-style room, with a very refreshing bamboo mat fragrance, which is impressive. I was worried that the equipment was a bit old, in fact, these old-fashioned appliances functioned quite well, and the small appliances were very complete (there were water dispensers and small refrigerators that provided hot water), perfect than expected."

"The family booked a triple room, the boss adjusted it to 205, twin beds plus tatami, the room boss, living in 5-6 people is no problem. There is a kitchen. Free drinks in the lobby on the first floor, and it is very pleasant to sit and play games at night. From Izu Plateau Station to the hotel, you can make an appointment to pick up or take a taxi. The local road is narrow and it is all uphill and downhill. It is too inconvenient to drag your luggage. Quiet surroundings, you can see the sea from a distance"

"I visited with my family, and I took my 89-year-old mother, who was a little disabled, but I contacted her in advance, so it was raining in a wheelchair, so it was very helpful to have a covered parking space. Not only the hot springs, but also the food was diverse, and my mother, who was always thin, was surprised to eat a lot. It was very helpful to have a meal seat near the doorway. Repeat confirmed."

"The hotel environment is fantastic, with vast lawns and the sea right outside. The outdoor hot springs offer views of the sea and the moon, and the hot springs are amazing. The facilities are also excellent. The hotel's interior decor is a bit dated, but the rooms are quite spacious!"

"The hotel is not located near any public transportation. It is less than 10 minutes by taxi from Izu Kogen Station. We arrived at Izu Kogen Station around 11 am and called the hotel. The hotel replied that they could not pick us up and would send a car after 3 pm. We could only take a taxi to the hotel and then store our luggage. We would check in after 3 pm. We planned to go to Omuro Mountain first. The hotel staff said that they could not send a car to Omuro Mountain and asked us to walk to the nearest bus stop, which was said to be about 800 meters and about 10 minutes. However, we walked all the way uphill and it took us almost half an hour. We almost got heatstroke. Then we took the bus and arrived at Omuro Mountain in one stop. We returned to the hotel and took a taxi. We went back to the hotel to discuss check-out the next day because we had to catch a train at around 7 o'clock the next day. We asked if the hotel could send a car to take us at 6:30, but the answer was no. We asked the hotel to help book a taxi. At first, they said that they might not have one because it was too early and that they couldn't contact us... Later, the taxi company replied that they could have a car, which made us feel relieved. In summary, the hotel's shuttle bus only operates around 3 p.m., so if you need to catch an early or late bus, it's best to book a bus in advance. Also, the hotel staff's English proficiency is relatively low."

"I've always wanted to visit Izu, and after seeing recommendations online 🤔, I decided to check out this guesthouse. And it certainly didn't disappoint! 🫵 The owner is from Xi'an. After booking, you can message him on WeChat or email him to let him know your estimated arrival time in Izu. 👌 He'll personally pick you up from the station, and if you want to visit other attractions, he'll also drive you if he's available, saving you travel time. The guesthouse itself is beautiful 👏🏻, with a strong artistic vibe thanks to all the decorations. The proprietress is very talented 👍, and every corner of the room is stunningly decorated. I also have to praise the owner's cooking! 👍 If you're craving Xi'an specialties, you can ask the owner to cook for you. You can order à la carte or choose a guesthouse meal package (a heads-up: there are no restaurants or supermarkets nearby) 😜. We booked breakfast and dinner (for breakfast, you can choose between Chinese or Western) ☺, and the owner's noodles are absolutely amazing 😋. If you want to try Xi'an noodles, you can ask the owner to cook them for you (he mentioned they mostly serve noodles for lunch) 👌. I usually don't have much of an appetite for breakfast, so the owner specially made me a big bowl of Qishan Saozi noodles 🍜. Oh my god 😋, the sour and spicy flavors immediately opened up my appetite! Thank you to the incredible owner for saving my Chinese stomach! 🙏 Oh, and in the evenings, the owner will also take you to nearby hot springs ♨. If you want to experience authentic local hot springs, you should definitely try it! ♨ The owners are very easygoing, and after two days, it felt like we were old friends. I'm already looking forward to my next trip to Izu 🙂 and another taste of the owner's amazing Saozi noodles! 🍜"

"Aside from the room, the service was excellent, especially in the restaurant. One of the staff members was a fantastic auntie who spoke good English and explained each dish meticulously and enthusiastically. The chef was great, skillfully using fresh local ingredients, had excellent taste, and presented the food beautifully. Most importantly, he was loving; he even adjusted the menu for my child, replacing dishes like sashimi with more child-friendly options. Any dish they enjoyed was recreated the next day, but prepared differently. Don't book a room on the first floor; the musty smell was overwhelming and wouldn't dissipate even with the windows open."
