"I originally planned to leave a 5-star review because the hotel itself has a very nice, cozy atmosphere. However, I ended up extremely disappointed due to something being stolen during housekeeping service. I travel frequently and stay in hotels often, so I’m usually very careful. This time, I didn’t bring many valuables with me, so I didn’t lock my suitcase when I went out. I had bought a few items from a drugstore and left them in the room. When I came back, one of the three packages was missing. I assume they didn’t take everything to avoid suspicion. I’m usually very cautious about housekeeping and potential loss of belongings, which is why I selected the “do not disturb / no cleaning” option. However, this hotel requires daily cleaning of the in-room hot spring bath. Since I booked a top-floor room with a private onsen, the front desk informed me that staff would still enter the room to clean it. I never expected that even opened, low-value cosmetics would be taken. The missing items were worth over $60. While it’s not a huge amount, it still feels very upsetting. The hotel itself is fine, but please be very careful with your belongings if you stay here. If you leave the room, make sure to take your valuables with you. The safe in the room is extremely small and cannot hold much. Overall, this experience was very disappointing."

"This hotel is fantastic and fully equipped, truly a resort hotel, and many Japanese guests stay here! First, the hotel will send you an email in advance to confirm your dinner time. We booked dinner for two nights; it was a set menu, and the menu changed daily! The rooms are spacious, and there are many yukata choices! There are two hot springs ♨️, one in the main building and one in the south building. Currently, there are no private baths. We tried both. The main building's is smaller but fully equipped and less crowded. The south building isn't too far to walk to, just a few stairs! Both sides have restaurants. We stayed in the main building and dined there. Breakfast was indeed a bit of a hassle; you usually have to wait. You can go down early to make a reservation, and they'll call your room when it's ready! If you have time, you definitely need to try the hotel's facilities. It has three stops, including a free spa and an indoor water park. We went to the spa, and swimsuits were provided, which was very convenient! The internal shuttle runs until 11 PM, so you can go in the evening too! Be aware that the shuttle to the Kogen Station is the same as the internal shuttle, so make sure to ask when you get on! Both the hotel's dinner and breakfast are high-quality, and breakfast even includes sashimi rice! Plus, the hotel's souvenir shop is cheaper than the one at JR Station! I recommend having dinner at the hotel, as there's absolutely nothing around, no shops! But the hotel itself is so exciting, it's worth it even if you just stay and enjoy the hotel!"

"We were very satisfied with both the room and the service. I highly recommend booking a package that includes both breakfast and dinner to experience the full Japanese service. For families or couples, after checking in, you can use the in-room phone (dial 8) to reserve a 50-minute private family bath session with the front desk. (You might be able to get the key a bit earlier depending on availability.) The cost is about 1680 JPY, which is quite reasonable. Prices for additional drinks, meals, and SPA services are also within a sensible range. One thing to note is that the hotel is located halfway up a hill, so I don't recommend walking there if you have large luggage. You can contact the hotel in advance to inquire about shuttle bus options or take a taxi from Ito Station. If you absolutely must walk, do not follow Google Maps' route from Minami-Ito Station, as this path involves climbing stairs and going over a hill."

"It’s a traditional style onsen hotel, the decoration is a bit too old compared to the photos of the official website though I think it has been renovated. The onsen was okay and didn’t look clean because of the old renovation. The toilet inside the room had a bad smell."

"This hotel is located by the sea in Ito, and every room offers a fantastic ocean view. It's incredibly clean, and the service is excellent. They even provide a shuttle service to and from Izu-Kogen Station, which is very convenient. The hotel features a large public bath, and private onsen are available for an extra fee. They also offer ramen in the evenings, and there are complimentary drinks and popsicles at the front desk. We stayed in a Japanese-style room, which, as a heads-up, doesn't have an en-suite bathroom. We booked the breakfast and dinner plan. Dinner was an exquisite Kaiseki meal, primarily featuring seasonal seafood. Breakfast was a buffet, and it was quite good, with the added bonus of being able to enjoy the sea view while eating. There aren't many restaurants or supermarkets around the hotel; the nearest Lawson convenience store is about a 20-minute walk away. Getting to Mount Omuro by taxi costs around 1700 yen (about a 10-minute ride), and to Jogasaki Coast about 1500 yen, both very accessible. The hotel is quiet and has a limited number of rooms, making it feel very private. It's an excellent choice for a relaxing getaway, highly recommended!"

"A wonderful ryokan with its own private onsen, offering two types: open-air and indoor. Dinner and breakfast are included, and everything is incredibly delicious, featuring many new and unusual dishes. They use only high-quality ingredients for preparation. All dishes are served sequentially, with detailed explanations of what each dish is and the best order to eat them. There's a huge variety of dishes – you'll be full for a week! The presentation is like something out of a Michelin-starred restaurant. The room comes with both a kimono and pajamas, along with men's and women's amenity sets. The room itself is spacious. They prepare the tatami for you to sleep on and then put it away. The tatami was comfortable, though I found the pillows a bit hard. They were special therapeutic pillows filled with grains (perhaps buckwheat, I'm not sure what they use in Japan)."

"Take a taxi from the Ito JR taxi station to the ryokan, do not have to pay the fare, the hotel will handle, the drop-off staff will come to check-in a pair of your names, if correct will handle your fare for this journey. After getting off the bus, the staff pushed our luggage into the hotel and greeted us to check in. The person who explained the process and details to us checked in was a very beautiful staff who clearly explained the hotel facilities, meal times and places. After check in you can first go to the lobby location to get a yukata, in addition yukata and hotel clothes in the room plus slippers can be worn at will within the hotel premises. Once you get to the room, the door is very large, is super large, and there is a private bath can slowly soak, the hotel has a interesting thing is you can design your own slippers, because afraid of people to the public bath will forget their slippers, so there is a black marker for you to design slippers. After walking around the hotel premises, taking pictures, then back to the room to soak in the hot spring, at night to the restaurant to enjoy a delicious dinner, the service staff asked us to communicate in English or Japanese, we said English, he then tried to explain in English all the ingredients for dinner, how to eat and so on. Dinner was really full and satisfied, after dinner back to the room to rest, then made an appointment for a private bath, after the soak was very comfortable. It was a really comfortable rest that night, a really good night’s rest. Morning to the restaurant breakfast, another very satisfying meal, after the meal rest for a while and soak in the hot spring, then check out at 12:00, the hotel will ask you if you need a taxi to JR station, he will help you call a taxi, delivered to JR station is free. Overall, this hotel is very comfortable, quiet, 14:00 check in can stay until the next day at the latest 12:00 check out, can stay more time in the hotel to soak in the hot spring and rest, and the hotel provides skincare is very useful, and after the hot spring in the room like that Cider is particularly good to drink, really spent a very satisfying journey."

"Overall, this is a small but beautiful resort hotel with comfortable space and relatively complete amenities. The service is polite and friendly, and the food is delicious. The area is quiet, with a convenience store and a grocery store nearby. However, unlike many hot spring hotels, they don't offer shuttle service to and from the station, so you'll need to take a taxi to get there and back."
