"Location was convenient, very near the train/bus station. Concierge staff was able to converse in basic english which made it way easier for us and they were all very nice. The room was so spacious and the view from our room was amazing!!! It was actually peaceful to just sit and stare out of the window. The toilet was spacious enough too. We did not use the onsens avail in the hotel but they also had a family onsen room that was free for use for anyone as long as its available and it works just like a private onsen, but free! I absolutely loved our room and would definitely recommend & also hope to return someday 💕"

"I absolutely, absolutely, absolutely loved the Hachiman-no Wayo-shiki room type at KIRA-NO-SATO! Upon reaching the floor of our room, we had to take off our shoes and put them in a shoe cabinet, then walk barefoot to the room. If you're heading to the public bathhouse or just exploring the hotel, you can wear the geta (wooden clogs) provided by the shoe cabinet. The floors were incredibly clean; walking barefoot was very comfortable and not dirty at all. The room itself was spotless and spacious, not feeling old-fashioned in the slightest. In fact, it looked quite new. The shower room's design reminded me of a sauna, but it was very comfortable and clean. We didn't use the public bath. Instead, we showered in our room each time before grabbing the key for a private onsen. The 'Stone Craftsman' bath, made of stone, was a bit small; it felt a little cramped for two people. 'Bamboo Immortal' was made of wood (or perhaps bamboo, judging by the name?) and offered more space. 'Rock Seat' was more like a small swimming pool, the largest of the three private onsens, very spacious for two, and had the best overhead cover. The hotel front desk offered complimentary drinks, including sodas, coffee, and tea. The public bath area provided milk and coffee milk in the mornings, and lactic acid drinks and ice cream in the evenings. The building next to the front desk offered various refreshments at different times, such as green tea, local sweet potatoes, soba noodles, and oden. The hotel also offers a convenient shuttle bus service to Izu-Kogen Station, though it stops running after 5:30 PM. After that, you'd have to walk. The walk from the station to the hotel is uphill with a significant incline, which can be tiring if you have luggage or many bags. The hotel staff were all very enthusiastic and polite! I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone planning a trip to Izu~"

"Overall, it's pretty good. I'd stay here again next time I visit. The hotel offers a shuttle service from Izu Kogen Station, but it's infrequent. To catch it: After exiting Izu Kogen Station, turn right and walk to the bus stop. The parking lot next to it is where you'll find the shuttle. Staff will confirm your reservation name, help with your luggage, and offer a refreshing cold towel – very thoughtful service. The hotel package included dinner, a late-night snack, and a buffet breakfast the next day. Dinner was very mediocre, I'd even say unappetizing. The pork was tough, the side dishes were cold, and the sashimi was overly chilled. The late-night snack was Dan Dan noodles. Since it was close to closing time, there were drips of soup all over the inside of the bowl, which looked a bit sloppy. Thankfully, the taste was quite good. Buffet breakfast was the most satisfying meal with a good variety. You can walk or take a taxi to Jogasaki Coast. If you're only going to Kadowaki Suspension Bridge, I recommend taking a taxi to a nearby parking lot, otherwise it's a 30-minute walk. A taxi to Mount Omuro costs over 2000 yen. To summarize: The toilet had a strange odor, the showerhead had low water pressure, and dinner wasn't good. Other than that, there weren't many downsides."

"This hotel is fantastic and fully equipped, truly a resort hotel, and many Japanese guests stay here! First, the hotel will send you an email in advance to confirm your dinner time. We booked dinner for two nights; it was a set menu, and the menu changed daily! The rooms are spacious, and there are many yukata choices! There are two hot springs ♨️, one in the main building and one in the south building. Currently, there are no private baths. We tried both. The main building's is smaller but fully equipped and less crowded. The south building isn't too far to walk to, just a few stairs! Both sides have restaurants. We stayed in the main building and dined there. Breakfast was indeed a bit of a hassle; you usually have to wait. You can go down early to make a reservation, and they'll call your room when it's ready! If you have time, you definitely need to try the hotel's facilities. It has three stops, including a free spa and an indoor water park. We went to the spa, and swimsuits were provided, which was very convenient! The internal shuttle runs until 11 PM, so you can go in the evening too! Be aware that the shuttle to the Kogen Station is the same as the internal shuttle, so make sure to ask when you get on! Both the hotel's dinner and breakfast are high-quality, and breakfast even includes sashimi rice! Plus, the hotel's souvenir shop is cheaper than the one at JR Station! I recommend having dinner at the hotel, as there's absolutely nothing around, no shops! But the hotel itself is so exciting, it's worth it even if you just stay and enjoy the hotel!"

"We had a lovely stay at Himalaya Sea. We only stayed one night but wished we could have stayed longer. Incredibly clean, spacious and comfortable rooms, amazing sea views, a nice little pool for cooling off in, as well as private and shared Onsen. They were able to accommodate us and provided a vegetarian breakfast. The free drinks (sodas, juice, wine, whiskey, etc) were appreciated. Thank you Himalaya Sea, we hope we can come back again some day!"

"Overall, it's a good place to stay! However, there are no facilities outside of the room, so while it might not be for everyone, I think most people choose this hotel specifically to avoid others, so it's not really an issue. That said, check-in and check-out are done in the lobby. If these could be handled in the room, then you truly might not have to see anyone at all. The check-out time slightly breaks the illusion for me, so I'm giving it a 4, but with high hopes for the future. It would be even better if they could ask about dinner service speed beforehand. If you do make a request, they are very accommodating. I will definitely come again."

"This ryokan is truly a gem. It offers complimentary car parking, and there’s also a public bathroom available. The staff are very nice and sweet, making the stay feel warm and welcoming. I highly recommend trying their breakfast and dinner—the meals are delicious and thoughtfully prepared. In the evening, guests can even enjoy complimentary ice cream, which is a lovely touch. Netflix is available for entertainment, and the facilities are very well maintained, giving excellent value for money. Overall, it’s a wonderful place to stay, and I will definitely go back again."

"I've always wanted to visit Izu, and after seeing recommendations online 🤔, I decided to check out this guesthouse. And it certainly didn't disappoint! 🫵 The owner is from Xi'an. After booking, you can message him on WeChat or email him to let him know your estimated arrival time in Izu. 👌 He'll personally pick you up from the station, and if you want to visit other attractions, he'll also drive you if he's available, saving you travel time. The guesthouse itself is beautiful 👏🏻, with a strong artistic vibe thanks to all the decorations. The proprietress is very talented 👍, and every corner of the room is stunningly decorated. I also have to praise the owner's cooking! 👍 If you're craving Xi'an specialties, you can ask the owner to cook for you. You can order à la carte or choose a guesthouse meal package (a heads-up: there are no restaurants or supermarkets nearby) 😜. We booked breakfast and dinner (for breakfast, you can choose between Chinese or Western) ☺, and the owner's noodles are absolutely amazing 😋. If you want to try Xi'an noodles, you can ask the owner to cook them for you (he mentioned they mostly serve noodles for lunch) 👌. I usually don't have much of an appetite for breakfast, so the owner specially made me a big bowl of Qishan Saozi noodles 🍜. Oh my god 😋, the sour and spicy flavors immediately opened up my appetite! Thank you to the incredible owner for saving my Chinese stomach! 🙏 Oh, and in the evenings, the owner will also take you to nearby hot springs ♨. If you want to experience authentic local hot springs, you should definitely try it! ♨ The owners are very easygoing, and after two days, it felt like we were old friends. I'm already looking forward to my next trip to Izu 🙂 and another taste of the owner's amazing Saozi noodles! 🍜"

"🌊All the wonderful memories of this trip stem from this charming little hotel in Izu~ ✨The sunrise over the sea visible from the room; the sunlight streaming through the arched windows, turning the wallpaper a honey color; the little restaurant that seems straight out of a manga; the breakfast bathed in sunlight; the beautiful green view from the window at the end of the stairs; the quiet open-air hot spring; and the warm and thoughtful service from the host! Returning to Tomigo Station every day felt like coming home, and I was reluctant to leave~ I want to come back again! · 🌿Although it's a small hotel, during my stay, I could feel the host's efforts to provide thoughtful service: ▫️When researching Izu, everyone mentioned that local public transportation is inconvenient, with few services, requiring careful planning. This hotel solves this big problem by offering pick-up and drop-off services to nearby attractions (advance booking required, reasonable price, Chinese communication available), saving a lot of time! ▫️Mount Omuro, Kinosaki Coast, and the Cactus Zoo are all within a 10-minute drive~ The host has a fantastic list of recommended restaurants (I tried several and they were all delicious!), and can also provide reliable information on public transportation to the surrounding area. (The shuttle service from Futo Station is free twice, once during check-in and once during check-out!) · 🛎 What I want to praise most is the laundry service! In the morning, simply put your clothes in the laundry basket, and in the evening, the staff will bring the washed and dried clothes back to your room for only a 300 yen service fee each time! I'm so grateful!! No need to wait in front of the coin-operated washing machines; you can save time to go out and have fun, and when you come back, your clothes are clean!!! Thank you!! ▫️ Hot and cold drinking water is thoughtfully provided in the hallway common areas, so you don't need to go down to the restaurant to get water. ▫️ Eye masks, earplugs, and other small amenities are thoughtfully provided in the room. · ☕️ I really love the first-floor common area. The right side has a sun-drenched floor-to-ceiling window, and in late autumn, you can even see some red leaves. Sitting by the bed every day having breakfast (simple but delicious!) already puts me in a good mood. The back window of the restaurant bar on the left offers a view of green trees. They serve drinks and small bottles of wine in the evenings, and you can also order a hand-drip coffee in a pretty glass. Every day after my soak in the hot spring, I use the tables and chairs in the common area to organize my photos from the day. ▫️The open-air private hot spring can be booked for 50 minutes daily. The accompanying changing rooms and showers are very clean and tidy. I don't usually like hot springs, but it was so refreshing in the cool autumn air. From the small pool, you can see the maple trees and stars outside. · ☀️Our room had a white-framed arched window. After the lights were turned off at night, the moonlight shone through the semi-circular glass onto the roof. It sounds old-fashioned, but it was truly beautiful. In the morning, the window casts a honey-colored sunlight onto the beams, and you can sit up in bed and see the sunrise over the shimmering sea in the distance. You can brew a cup of hot tea and enjoy a peaceful morning in Izu on the small balcony. The only slight regret about this trip was not staying an extra day; we just stayed in the hotel, relaxing, drinking beverages, and looking at the sea from the balcony."
