"It's about 5 minutes from the station. There's also a cafe 5 minutes away. The internet is decent. The room is quite spacious. There aren't a single hook, hanger, or anything else to hang clothes on. This is very inconvenient; we had to put our clothes on chairs. The cleaning service is quite strange: they clean the entire floor at once, meaning they open the doors to all the rooms and start cleaning. This means your room might be open, but they'll be cleaning a different one. Consequently, all your things are freely accessible, and it's a very long process (we ended up not waiting for the cleaning to finish and just went into our room)."

"I absolutely, absolutely, absolutely loved the Hachiman-no Wayo-shiki room type at KIRA-NO-SATO! Upon reaching the floor of our room, we had to take off our shoes and put them in a shoe cabinet, then walk barefoot to the room. If you're heading to the public bathhouse or just exploring the hotel, you can wear the geta (wooden clogs) provided by the shoe cabinet. The floors were incredibly clean; walking barefoot was very comfortable and not dirty at all. The room itself was spotless and spacious, not feeling old-fashioned in the slightest. In fact, it looked quite new. The shower room's design reminded me of a sauna, but it was very comfortable and clean. We didn't use the public bath. Instead, we showered in our room each time before grabbing the key for a private onsen. The 'Stone Craftsman' bath, made of stone, was a bit small; it felt a little cramped for two people. 'Bamboo Immortal' was made of wood (or perhaps bamboo, judging by the name?) and offered more space. 'Rock Seat' was more like a small swimming pool, the largest of the three private onsens, very spacious for two, and had the best overhead cover. The hotel front desk offered complimentary drinks, including sodas, coffee, and tea. The public bath area provided milk and coffee milk in the mornings, and lactic acid drinks and ice cream in the evenings. The building next to the front desk offered various refreshments at different times, such as green tea, local sweet potatoes, soba noodles, and oden. The hotel also offers a convenient shuttle bus service to Izu-Kogen Station, though it stops running after 5:30 PM. After that, you'd have to walk. The walk from the station to the hotel is uphill with a significant incline, which can be tiring if you have luggage or many bags. The hotel staff were all very enthusiastic and polite! I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone planning a trip to Izu~"

"It’s a traditional style onsen hotel, the decoration is a bit too old compared to the photos of the official website though I think it has been renovated. The onsen was okay and didn’t look clean because of the old renovation. The toilet inside the room had a bad smell."

"We only stayed one night, but it was an incredible experience - everything from the caring service to the traditional style of room to the thoughtful osen setup! All five star! The staff spoke limited English but it was very smooth and easy to use translation software. We chose to have breakfast there and it was delightful - so many little dishes and all served in our room and we even dressed up in traditional attire for it, provided by the ryokan. It’s very easy to get a taxi from Izu Kogen and it was easy for us to order an uber in the evening for dinner if you don’t want to go full out for what the ryokan provides - so it’s friendly enough if you aren’t driving. The individual osen pools were so chill - could have sat there for hours! High recommend this place if you want a piece of real Japanese culture!"

"Izu Kannon Onsen: The decor is modern, and the lobby has a self-service water bar with aesthetically pleasing coffee and fruit wine. The lobby directly faces the hotel's most stunning view, with an infinity pool reflecting the blue sky and white clouds, and the clear blue sea not far beyond, with faint glimpses of distant islands. The restaurant is on the third floor, offering sea views just like the lobby. They provide a two-meal plan (dinner and breakfast). The Kaiseki dinner was exquisite and delicious, leaving us very full. Breakfast is a buffet, a mix of Japanese and Western styles, leaning more towards Japanese, and also very tasty. Our room was a Japanese-Western style, quite spacious with a separate wet and dry area, making for a very comfortable stay. There's no private onsen; the public bath is on the basement level. Yukata are provided in the room. Additionally, the hotel offers late-night Dan Dan noodles."

"I rarely write reviews, but this guesthouse was so incredibly comfortable that I just had to express my genuine feelings, haha! 😄 First, I have to rave about the owner's cooking – it truly tasted like home! 😭 On the evening of our arrival, after the owner picked us up and took us to the guesthouse, I was so hungry that I asked them to make some biangbiang noodles. Wow, they were absolutely amazing! Easily the best biangbiang noodles I've ever had! 😭 I immediately ordered them again for lunch the next day! Then, the breakfast the next day had both Western and Chinese options and was also delicious 😋 – it really energized us for the day's travels! We also had dinner at the guesthouse, because as an international student, I was really craving some authentic home cooking. Eating dinner there, it truly felt like ages since I'd had a proper home-cooked meal like that 🥹. Finally, for lunch before we checked out, we had handmade dumplings 🥟 which were also so delicious 🤤, and so fresh! They even gave us a complimentary dish of sweet and sour pork ribs! So happy! 🥰 Secondly! I'm so grateful to the owner for taking us to Mount Omuro and for picking us up late at night to go to the hot springs near Izu Kogen Station ♨️ – it was so relaxing! The owner was just incredibly enthusiastic about driving us back and forth to the station! Of course, the guesthouse environment itself is also impeccable – beautiful, high-class, comfortable, clean, and tidy, full marks! In short, when Mount Omuro turns green again, I'll definitely come back to Izu and stay here! 😋"

"The room is large, with a separate wet and dry toilet and bathroom. The hot spring bath is open-air, and mosquito coils are thoughtfully provided. You can also lie on a lounge chair next to it and watch the stars and listen to the sound of the waves. The hotel's breakfast is delicious and highly recommended. The hotel is very close to the beach, only a three-minute walk away. I recommend taking a walk after a hearty breakfast."

"The hotel's location is a bit out of the way. While it's less than a kilometer from the station, it feels like a long walk. A taxi ride costs about 30 yuan. There's practically no service here, but since it's a private hot spring, I didn't bother with the public baths – I glanced at them, and they didn't seem very big. The private hot spring is a bit small and doesn't offer any views. Maybe I just booked the wrong room type."

"Highly recommended! This place completely fulfilled my expectations of a traditional Japanese ryokan from movies and anime. Tatami mats, sliding doors, a tea table – it had it all, and the room was very clean and quite spacious. I loved the designated spot for shoes right at the entrance. The lobby on the first floor is beautiful and perfect for photos. Upstairs, there's a communal onsen (with both indoor and outdoor baths) and a rock bath, with separate times for men and women. The area isn't huge, but with fewer people this season, it was very relaxing. On the second floor, there's a common area where you can enjoy tea, chat, do some light exercise, or read manga. My only awkward moment was not realizing there was no breakfast; I waited in my room for half an hour, which made me rush later. I didn't get to visit Mount Omuro this time (the cable car was out of service), but if I'm ever in Ito again, I'll definitely stay here."
