"The hotel is a bit old, a common issue with older Japanese hotels. The front desk staff are all older folks, but their attitude is excellent. 1. Yukata, towels, and toiletries are all provided and free. The room has a bathtub, but for a hot spring bath, you need to go to a designated floor. It's great value for money, and the room is very spacious, making it cost-effective for multiple people. 2. The cleanliness is what you'd expect given its age; I went in with realistic expectations, as it's hard for old hotels to meet strict hygiene standards. 3. The location is excellent and convenient for transportation. It's very close to Ito Station, and you can take the first bus in the morning directly from the starting point to Mount Omuro. 4. The sea is right outside the window, so the view is fantastic! You can even watch the sunrise from your room."

"Stepping into the hotel was such a pleasant surprise! It felt like entering a Southeast Asian resort. Facing the endless ocean, my mood immediately relaxed. The service was also excellent; staff escorted us to our room and meticulously explained how everything worked. For dinner, since my daughter doesn't eat seafood and there wasn't an à la carte menu, the hotel specially prepared Udon noodles and Western dishes for her – we were so grateful! In the evening, lying quietly by the pool, gazing at the stars and moon with my favorite music playing in my headphones – this is what life is all about! I'd love to come back and stay a few more nights if I get the chance."

"🌊All the wonderful memories of this trip stem from this charming little hotel in Izu~ ✨The sunrise over the sea visible from the room; the sunlight streaming through the arched windows, turning the wallpaper a honey color; the little restaurant that seems straight out of a manga; the breakfast bathed in sunlight; the beautiful green view from the window at the end of the stairs; the quiet open-air hot spring; and the warm and thoughtful service from the host! Returning to Tomigo Station every day felt like coming home, and I was reluctant to leave~ I want to come back again! · 🌿Although it's a small hotel, during my stay, I could feel the host's efforts to provide thoughtful service: ▫️When researching Izu, everyone mentioned that local public transportation is inconvenient, with few services, requiring careful planning. This hotel solves this big problem by offering pick-up and drop-off services to nearby attractions (advance booking required, reasonable price, Chinese communication available), saving a lot of time! ▫️Mount Omuro, Kinosaki Coast, and the Cactus Zoo are all within a 10-minute drive~ The host has a fantastic list of recommended restaurants (I tried several and they were all delicious!), and can also provide reliable information on public transportation to the surrounding area. (The shuttle service from Futo Station is free twice, once during check-in and once during check-out!) · 🛎 What I want to praise most is the laundry service! In the morning, simply put your clothes in the laundry basket, and in the evening, the staff will bring the washed and dried clothes back to your room for only a 300 yen service fee each time! I'm so grateful!! No need to wait in front of the coin-operated washing machines; you can save time to go out and have fun, and when you come back, your clothes are clean!!! Thank you!! ▫️ Hot and cold drinking water is thoughtfully provided in the hallway common areas, so you don't need to go down to the restaurant to get water. ▫️ Eye masks, earplugs, and other small amenities are thoughtfully provided in the room. · ☕️ I really love the first-floor common area. The right side has a sun-drenched floor-to-ceiling window, and in late autumn, you can even see some red leaves. Sitting by the bed every day having breakfast (simple but delicious!) already puts me in a good mood. The back window of the restaurant bar on the left offers a view of green trees. They serve drinks and small bottles of wine in the evenings, and you can also order a hand-drip coffee in a pretty glass. Every day after my soak in the hot spring, I use the tables and chairs in the common area to organize my photos from the day. ▫️The open-air private hot spring can be booked for 50 minutes daily. The accompanying changing rooms and showers are very clean and tidy. I don't usually like hot springs, but it was so refreshing in the cool autumn air. From the small pool, you can see the maple trees and stars outside. · ☀️Our room had a white-framed arched window. After the lights were turned off at night, the moonlight shone through the semi-circular glass onto the roof. It sounds old-fashioned, but it was truly beautiful. In the morning, the window casts a honey-colored sunlight onto the beams, and you can sit up in bed and see the sunrise over the shimmering sea in the distance. You can brew a cup of hot tea and enjoy a peaceful morning in Izu on the small balcony. The only slight regret about this trip was not staying an extra day; we just stayed in the hotel, relaxing, drinking beverages, and looking at the sea from the balcony."

"This is a great onsen hotel. First, regarding transportation: the hotel is near Izu-Kogen JR station, about a 10-15 minute walk. However, I highly recommend against walking with luggage as there are many uphill sections. The hotel offers a shuttle bus service from the JR station in the afternoon, reportedly every 15 minutes. After booking, the hotel will inform you of the bus schedule. One thing to note is that the bus stops in the parking lot and the hotel name on the bus is 'Hachiman-no-Onsen-no-Sato' (八幡野温泉之乡), not 'Kira-no-Sato' (基拉之乡) as listed on Ctrip. Next, let's talk about the hotel environment and facilities. It has a rustic resort style, with farmland, a waterwheel, and a stream within the premises, creating a very pleasant and tranquil atmosphere. We chose a Japanese-style room on the second floor; there's no elevator, and while the room facilities are a bit old, they are well-maintained. The public bath (dai-yokujo) has several pools, both indoor and outdoor, which are quite nice. Finally, about the service: This hotel seems to be a traditional four-star onsen hotel. The staff's service is attentive and efficient, but not overly enthusiastic. The front desk offers complimentary drinks, and there are free snacks at different times of the day. Both the breakfast and dinner, included with the 'one night, two meals' plan, were excellent. Over half of the hotel guests are Japanese. Overall, it was a very good experience."

"Amazing ryokan! Located conveniently close to the railway station it blends into local woods with its many small villas and paths. The room was nice and had our own balcony looking out to the woods. There was no lack of amenities, futons were comfortable, AC worked just fine, and the wi-fi connection was probably the best we've encountered in Japan. We've tried 3 of 9 private baths and all of them were quite pleasant. However, the Kuromoji bath's door to the outdoor onsen didn't close all the way so it was chilly in the indoor bath, and the Hina bath had just 1 shower (we kind of expected at least 2). The food was excellent! We enjoyed all the courses of dinner and breakfast, but I must say the quantity of dinner dishes was just enough to be 80% full. If you are accustomed to Japanese portions, you might find this dinner too light. All in all, we enjoyed our stay in Hanafubuki ryokan and would love to come again!"

"The hotel is not located near any public transportation. It is less than 10 minutes by taxi from Izu Kogen Station. We arrived at Izu Kogen Station around 11 am and called the hotel. The hotel replied that they could not pick us up and would send a car after 3 pm. We could only take a taxi to the hotel and then store our luggage. We would check in after 3 pm. We planned to go to Omuro Mountain first. The hotel staff said that they could not send a car to Omuro Mountain and asked us to walk to the nearest bus stop, which was said to be about 800 meters and about 10 minutes. However, we walked all the way uphill and it took us almost half an hour. We almost got heatstroke. Then we took the bus and arrived at Omuro Mountain in one stop. We returned to the hotel and took a taxi. We went back to the hotel to discuss check-out the next day because we had to catch a train at around 7 o'clock the next day. We asked if the hotel could send a car to take us at 6:30, but the answer was no. We asked the hotel to help book a taxi. At first, they said that they might not have one because it was too early and that they couldn't contact us... Later, the taxi company replied that they could have a car, which made us feel relieved. In summary, the hotel's shuttle bus only operates around 3 p.m., so if you need to catch an early or late bus, it's best to book a bus in advance. Also, the hotel staff's English proficiency is relatively low."

"Followed the navigation for about ten minutes to get there. You take off your shoes at the entrance and change into slippers before entering. Check-in was smooth with instructions in Chinese. We quickly confirmed the dinner and breakfast times and locations. We chose to have it in our room, and they called beforehand to confirm if we were ready. After eating, we just put the dishes back in the box and left it outside the door. Dinner was delicious, and breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The portions were also very generous. They offer luggage storage. We went to the hot springs both in the evening and in the morning – so relaxing! Of course, we paid the hot spring tax when checking out. Highly recommend."

"Underestimate the desolation of Izu Kogen Station. Remember to call ahead to make an appointment to pick up and drop off the hotel. There should be Chinese people who can let Chinese people pick up the phone, but generally there will be no cars at four or five at the latest. If the last bus is more than 6 o'clock I want to call a car in a kiosk. If you can’t speak Japanese, you can only try your luck and wait, especially when there is no car The room is ok. Although the Japanese bed is a bit harder, it is wide and clean."
