"This morning, something unexpected happened in our room. My child fainted and started convulsing. Being in a foreign country, I was desperate. I called the front desk for help, but the person on the other end only spoke Korean, making communication impossible. So I rushed downstairs to the front desk, genuinely hoping for assistance. I asked if a staff member could come up with me to see what was happening, as I couldn't fully explain the situation. The front desk staff responded, 'That's not our concern. We can only call an ambulance. We won't go upstairs' (they repeated this at least 6 times!). After getting nowhere, I had no choice but to go back up, feeling utterly defeated. Thankfully, by the time I got back to the room, my child was breathing on their own and slowly regaining consciousness. It was a true miracle! I've truly seen indifference firsthand! I understand every place has its rules, but despite my repeated pleas for help in a foreign country, I didn't get an ounce of human kindness. It felt like even if someone died, they wouldn't go upstairs! Someone might ask, 'Why didn't you call the police? Why didn't you make another call? What about your own judgment?' Honestly, my mind was solely focused on getting help from the hotel front desk... I never expected to be turned away like that. I guess I was expecting too much; there isn't as much human empathy as I thought."

"This hotel is great for fans! I booked a room with a 1.6m bed, which was a bit snug for two people. The room itself is quite small, so for comfort, I'd recommend it for solo travelers. The surrounding area is incredibly lively and bustling with plenty of food and shopping options. The only downside is that it's a bit far from the city center. The service was excellent, and you can communicate in English throughout your stay."

Set in Seoul's Seongdong-gu, Inspiroom Seong Su is positioned to meet the needs of those traveling for fun or business. Finish your day off with a drink at the bar. This property also offers free luggage storage.

"After an overnight flight, the lovely owner of the hotel got my room ready for me bright and early, without charging me extra for a half-day stay. She even helped me with my luggage to the room! The hotel is self-service, and right across the street is a popular, always-queued-up restaurant, plus a police station. So, it's super safe, no worries there. There are tons of restaurants nearby, you can find anything you want. There's a chicken noodle soup place next door that's really good. And right at the intersection is Seongsu-dong Street, which is super famous throughout Gangnam. There are also many 24-hour restaurants, and places for drinks. You can even call for a handsome guy to join you for a drink, haha! If you want to explore Seongsu, this is the place to stay. You can drop off your shopping at the hotel and keep going.😏 In Seongsu-dong, there's a place with the number one water parsley and beef tartare, the seasoning is quite spicy. The second-best is the pork backbone and potato hotpot, which has a mustard-flavored seasoning. For girls, the matsutake mushroom and green vegetable hotpot with noodles is also super delicious (second picture). The crab is from Udali! The beef ribs are from Gangnam Myeonok! If you're hungry in the morning, grab a self-service coffee on the first floor; it's quite filling. To the right, there's a Seven Eleven that has more items than the GS25 on the left. The apples are pretty sweet!"

"I usually don't leave bad reviews, but this is genuinely the dirtiest hotel I've ever stayed in Korea. There was a whole patch of mold on the bathroom sink, and the trash from the room next door was just left outside their door – it was still there when I returned in the afternoon! The hallway also had a very strange, unpleasant smell. The only upside is its proximity to KSPO Dome, just about 4 stops by express train, less than 20 minutes away. I guess it might be okay for a one-night stay if you're not bothered by cleanliness."

"We booked a triple room, and while it was still quite small, it was enough for three girls. We could even open three 24-inch suitcases, though it made the aisle a bit crowded. The bathroom was actually pretty spacious. The room and beds were small, with not much storage space, so we ended up using the windowsill. The toiletries were L'Occitane, which was a nice touch! We took the 6015 airport bus directly to Gongde Station. There's a 7-Eleven downstairs, several other hotels nearby, and if you walk a little further, you can get to Fritz Coffee. There are quite a few good food options around if you explore a bit. It's also close to the subway, so transportation is convenient."

The room condition was excellent. At this price, I am truly thankful! I would visit 10,000 percent. My son is a bit picky, but he even complimented me on getting such a great room. Haha. "We stayed at Shilla Stay Gwanghwamun for 3 days and 2 nights, and later booked another 2 days and 1 night after our staycation at Nami Island. • Front desk service: The staff spoke English well and were very accommodating. They kindly allowed us to store our luggage during our Nami Island trip since we had another booking at the same hotel. • Room quality: The room was clean and spacious. However, I personally didn’t like the wooden floor—it felt a bit uncomfortable to walk on without room slippers. • Location: The hotel is centrally located in the city, within walking distance to Bukchon Hanok Village and Gyeongbokgung Palace, and close to several subway stations. • Food options nearby: Plenty of choices, from traditional Korean BBQ to fast food like Burger King. Just note that many restaurants close around 9–10 PM. ✨ Overall: A convenient city hotel with friendly staff, good service, and easy access to major attractions. The luggage storage service was especially helpful for our trip planning."

This hotel is perfectly located! It's just south of Seoul City Hall Square and west of Myeongdong. The subway station is only a few dozen meters from the lobby entrance, and Sejong-daero is right to the west. It's also not far from the major palaces and Namsan, so the location couldn't be better. The staff are very friendly, attentive, and welcoming. While the facilities might feel a bit more compact compared to newly built five-star hotels in China, they are well-maintained and perfectly adequate. Overall, it offers great value for money.

The bigger the hope, the greater the disappointment. By domestic hotel standards, this place is essentially an upgraded budget hotel in terms of hardware. Regarding the service, every staff member I encountered greeted me warmly and proactively. When my ride-share dropped me off at ground level, two attendants helped me carry my luggage upstairs. Its location is absolutely unbeatable, right in Myeongdong. It's very close to Lotte Duty-Free, Shinsegae Duty-Free, and the Nanta show. My final conclusion is: Is it worth over 5,000 won for two nights? I can only say that the Wyndham I stayed at in Busan for just over 700 won felt more like a five-star hotel in terms of amenities, and it only cost a third of what I paid here.

This is an older hotel. The lobby is on the 5th floor, and you then take an internal elevator to your room. The room decor is a bit dated. The larger suites are quite good, featuring a kitchen, dining table, and living room sofa. However, the smaller rooms are right by the entrance, facing the bathroom. If there's an odor from the toilet, you have to open the door to air it out, and the door can only be propped open with a chair. The windows are frosted, which is a bit awkward. Disposable slippers are in the wardrobe of the larger suites; I'm not sure if toothbrushes and toothpaste are provided, as I always bring my own toiletries when I travel. Extra beds and bedding are charged separately. There are no international power adapters, but the kitchen outlets work. The room comes with a fridge, washing machine, cutlery, and a dishwasher. Overall, the rooms are quite spacious, making it suitable for family trips. The hotel's location is excellent, right next to Hyundai Department Store and Coex. Across the street from the hotel, there are convenience stores and restaurants. Blue Bottle is located just a short walk and turn to the left after exiting the hotel. It's also very close to nearby luxury shops by taxi, perfect for a shopping spree.

This place is really, really shady. I was traveling with two kids, and they told me I had to pay an extra 550,000, claiming a room is only for two adults and one child, and an additional child incurs a fee. I accepted it, but then they tried to charge me again for an extra bed! Meanwhile, they were super friendly to foreigners – what a bunch of chameleons. The dust in the room's wardrobe was super thick, and the top surfaces were also dusty. The tissues in the room ran out on the first day and were never refilled; we went without tissues for the next three days. Oh, and when I arrived at the hotel at 12 PM, they told me check-in wasn't until 3 PM. But once I paid the 550,000, I could check in immediately, haha~

The hotel surroundings are nice, and the front desk staff speak basic English. On the first day, I found a midge on the curtains, but otherwise, the cleanliness was acceptable, and there was no drain smell from the bathroom. Disposable slippers were provided, but no toothbrush or toothpaste. Everything in the minibar, except for water, was chargeable. I booked a hotel in Gangnam because I was attending a concert at KSPO Dome. Pros: After the concert, it was usually easy to find a seat on the Express Line 9, and I could quickly reach Bongeunsa Station. There aren't many restaurants on the way back to the hotel, but there are several convenience stores. Cons: The walk from Bongeunsa Station to the hotel is really, really far, and you have to climb a gentle slope before descending! Cheongdam Station is about half the distance, but coming from Olympic Park, you'd need to transfer from Line 5 to Line 7, and Line 5 is usually much more crowded after events. Additionally, I had extended my stay through Trip.com before check-in, but the front desk initially thought I had only booked one night. After some communication, they found the extension order and processed it. However, on the second night, my room card stopped working and needed to be re-authorized. I hope the platform and the hotel can improve this issue.

The room is 30 square meters, which is quite spacious for its category. The surrounding facilities are excellent, with direct access to I'Park Mall, the train station, and duty-free shops via a connected walkway, so you're protected from wind and rain. There are two buildings dedicated to hotels: one is Novotel, and the other houses Ibis and Novotel Suites. All three hotels are interconnected and share a common lobby on the ground floor. The Ibis building has a GS25 convenience store and a casino on its second floor. The location is fantastic; it's quite close to everything. Yeouido, the National Museum, Myeongdong, Hannam-dong, and Ikseon-dong are all basically within a 10,000 KRW Uber ride. The value for money is good on weekdays, but the price doubles on weekends, which feels a bit too much of a jump.

This is not the first time I’ve stayed at this hotel, and everything has always been excellent — but not this time. It all started at check-in, when we were given a different room than the one we had booked. However, thanks to the reception staff, the issue was quickly resolved. Then we noticed that the toilet smelled of smoke, even though the room was supposed to be non-smoking. We informed the staff, and over time the smell became less noticeable. Housekeeping was done daily, and the staff responded promptly to all our requests. These minor inconveniences did not spoil our stay. We will definitely come back again.

The room is small and a little boring but you’re paying for the location, and it’s comfortable and clean. There’s a good beer bar, Seoulista, on the ground floor. There’s is an aerial walkway connected, which goes to Seoul Station. You can also use the metro Exit 7 (I think) but it will charge you just for walking through if you are coming from the AirPort Express. The breakfast arrangements are quite eccentric, but I had a good breakfast.

Shocking! My first ever bad review goes to this hotel! 1. When we first arrived, I was pleasantly surprised by how big the hotel was. But then at check-in, they hit you with a ton of rules: no noise after a certain hour, you can't turn off the air conditioning – if you're cold, just turn on the floor heating? I honestly laughed out loud! The AC fan was roaring all night, and the soundproofing was terrible; you could clearly hear car doors shutting outside. 2. Even more shocking, the fire alarm in this building went off once at 1 AM, and then for a whole half-hour at 4 AM! Everyone was just standing around on the first floor in the middle of the night, staring blankly. It went off sporadically a few more times when it got light. The next morning, we asked the staff, and they said someone smoking had been taken to the police station. But I honestly don't really believe that, because it went off way too many times. Were people constantly trying to challenge the fire alarm or something!?! 3. We tried to book a hair spa via WeChat starting from the day before, but no one ever responded. No one responded in the morning either, and when we went to ask in person, it was all fully booked. Seriously, what's up with that?? We gave feedback on all these issues to the staff, but besides verbal apologies, there was absolutely no action taken to compensate or show regret. They have more demands for guests than for themselves, full of flaws yet they act like they're impenetrable. Absolutely a terrible review!!!
