"The Koreana Hotel truly stands as a representative hotel in Korea, embodying understated luxury and elegance. It's nestled in the heart of Seoul, right next to Gwanghwamun Square and Cheonggyecheon Stream, offering stunning distant views of Namsan Mountain, especially beautiful at night. Opened in 1972, the Koreana Hotel played a significant role in international events, operating the main press center restaurant during the 1988 Seoul Olympics and later the Paralympics Athletes' Village restaurant. It has consistently served as an important hub for hosting international guests! We booked the Koreana Hotel this time because we had tickets for the Harry Potter 25th Anniversary Concert at Sejong Center for the Performing Arts on Friday evening from 7-9 PM. ^u^ For check-in, you need to prepare your ID card or passport. We were given a fantastic room on the 15th floor with an unparalleled night view. We are truly grateful for the hotel's excellent care! Although the room is around 30 square meters, it actually felt like 50 square meters. The decor is luxurious French style, comfortable yet elegant, and perfectly quiet. I had expected it to be somewhat old, but it's incredibly well-maintained and renovated, and the TV even connects directly to YouTube – a clear sign of how the world is changing and hotels are continuously improving! The bedding was also excellent with a very comfortable mattress. For travelers, getting a good night's rest, relaxing completely, and waking up refreshed and energized for the next day is crucial, and we both slept wonderfully! The room came with an iPad for ordering room service and hotel amenities, allowing many tasks to be completed quietly, which I absolutely loved. The hotel's response was incredibly fast; service requests were delivered within 5-10 minutes! We ordered abalone porridge for breakfast, and it was delivered promptly 20 minutes after we scheduled the preparation time. One portion was more than enough for both an adult and a child, and we enjoyed it very much! Do note that the hotel does not provide toothpaste, toothbrushes, facial cleanser, or combs – only soap! Other items are available in a paid amenity kit, so be aware when checking in. There are two bottles of complimentary water; it's more economical to purchase additional water at a convenience store."

"The hotel was easy to find using navigation, located right by the road and quite noticeable. First, the pros: 1. The front desk staff spoke good English, making communication smooth. The room was cleaned daily when I pressed the cleaning service button, and they did a thorough job. Staff members were always friendly and greeted guests warmly. 2. It's a walkable distance from the subway, which is convenient. There's also a Hyundai Department Store and COEX nearby for shopping and entertainment. There's a CU convenience store right in the hotel's basement, perfect for picking up daily necessities and snacks. Plus, there are plenty of cafes and restaurants around the hotel. 3. The area is quite pleasant, surrounded by office buildings. It's not as crowded or noisy with tourists as places like Myeongdong. Now for the cons: 1. The air conditioner only had two fan speed settings, and even the lowest setting felt too strong. 2. The soundproofing wasn't great. If you have a loud neighbor, it can be quite bothersome late at night. 3. I stayed in room 402 this time, and unfortunately, an adjacent building's rooftop was right outside my window. On the third night, it rained, and the raindrops hitting the metal sheeting on that rooftop made an incredibly loud dripping noise. I barely slept that night; it was truly miserable."

"Highly recommend this hotel ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The room was perfect for a solo traveler! All the facilities were complete and clean, and I really liked the decor. The furniture in the room was arranged very compactly, making me feel secure when sleeping ✨. I used to be so scared at night in other hotels, but I didn't feel that way at all here. The room also had multi-standard charging sockets for international guests, as well as multilingual instructions, which shows incredibly thoughtful and detailed design!"

"We stayed at Shilla Stay Gwanghwamun for 3 days and 2 nights, and later booked another 2 days and 1 night after our staycation at Nami Island. • Front desk service: The staff spoke English well and were very accommodating. They kindly allowed us to store our luggage during our Nami Island trip since we had another booking at the same hotel. • Room quality: The room was clean and spacious. However, I personally didn’t like the wooden floor—it felt a bit uncomfortable to walk on without room slippers. • Location: The hotel is centrally located in the city, within walking distance to Bukchon Hanok Village and Gyeongbokgung Palace, and close to several subway stations. • Food options nearby: Plenty of choices, from traditional Korean BBQ to fast food like Burger King. Just note that many restaurants close around 9–10 PM. ✨ Overall: A convenient city hotel with friendly staff, good service, and easy access to major attractions. The luggage storage service was especially helpful for our trip planning."

"The hotel's location is great, but the room is a bit too small. It's a prime location, so space is limited. It was a bit of a struggle to open our suitcases. However, the price was acceptable, and most importantly, it was super convenient for getting around, with plenty of food, drinks, and entertainment options nearby."

"Overall, it was quite good. However, the air conditioning wasn't controllable, so it got very hot at night even with the blanket. The bathtub didn't have a curtain, so the floor was all wet after showering, and you had to be careful not to slip getting out of the tub. The location is excellent; there's a street full of restaurants right behind it, and it's very close to the subway."
