"The front desk staff was incredibly kind. They gladly lent me a scale and even let me use the restroom. Their kindness was really comforting. I was on the 6th floor, and the karaoke wasn't as bothersome as I expected, though I could still hear the sound. I wish there had been slippers specifically for the bathroom. I was really happy to have a large refrigerator! A charger was provided, and there were plenty of outlets. Note that you can't flush toilet paper here. The location is excellent, so I'd like to stay again!"

"This was my third time staying here, and the location is still super convenient. Food deliveries come right to your room, and there are plenty of restaurants downstairs, plus coffee shops and convenience stores. The guesthouse is right on the main road, so no navigating alleyways. The area feels safe too, with lots of young people and university students around. There's a washing machine and dryer in the hallway, which is really handy. I switched rooms midway through my stay. The underfloor heating in the smaller room wasn't very warm, but the larger room was excessively hot – as someone from the south, I couldn't handle it and had to use the AC to adjust the temperature. I added the owner on WeChat, and they were always responsive and very helpful. All in all, it's perfect for a solo traveler. I'll definitely come back if I get the chance!"

Discover all that Jung-gu has to offer during your stay at Susu House Seoul. For extra convenience free luggage storage are available at the property as well.

"The hostel's location is excellent, right in the heart of Myeongdong, just a few minutes from the shopping street and a short walk from City Hall and Euljiro subway stations. You can even walk to some tourist attractions. We stayed in a basic, windowless room for four people with 1.35m bunk beds. The room itself is small. The common area had a terrace with views of the Seoul Tower and a really peaceful atmosphere. The entire hostel is new, which is great, and one of the staff members spoke Spanish. The breakfast is very simple: two pieces of toast with butter, cereal with milk, and instant coffee. If I had to suggest an improvement, there was no kitchen paper in the common area to clean the tables, and the trash cans filled up quickly and weren't emptied promptly. Highly recommended for its value for money and excellent location."

"On one of the nights during our stay, the fire alarm went off at 3 AM. We sat on the curb across the street, shivering in the cold for half an hour before the fire truck arrived. During that entire half hour, no staff member came out to explain the situation. Staff from Hotel Skypark II across the street did come out to check, and after the fire trucks arrived, we also saw Skypark staff communicating with the firefighters. About an hour later, other guests started returning to their rooms, and we followed suit. Even at that point, no staff from this hotel had appeared. On our way back to the room, we noticed a large amount of clutter in the stairwell (see photo) — a hazard in itself.  A few minutes after we got back to our room, the fire alarm suddenly went off again, but just for a few seconds, which startled us so much that we immediately went down to the front desk on the 3/F. At that time, there were two foreign female sitting in the common area. We thought they were just guests and chatted with them for a bit, only to find out during the conversation that they were actually staff members here. According to them, they were something like international students or exchange students working here— not trained professionals you would expect to handle an emergency. We also figured out during the conversation that they had actually been standing outside with the guests the whole time while we were all waiting for the fire trucks to arrive — yet even then, neither of them had come forward to say anything or offer any reassurance. We guessed that they were probably working here in exchange for a place to stay, which would explain why no one seemed to be properly in charge when things went wrong. Putting this incident aside, this hostel is actually quite good.  The three of us stayed in a family twin room. We were able to open two large suitcases in the entrance hallway, and there was plenty of space at the foot of the beds and underneath them to temporarily store things we had just bought. The double bed was more than spacious enough for two people, and there was also lots of room on the shelf behind our bed to place personal items. The only minor complaint is that a smell occasionally came from the ventilation system on the bathroom ceiling. Also, there is no shower stall/ bathtub (see photo), so when you shower, the entire floor and toilet bowl gets wet, and there is no place to hang clothes to change into after showering. The room was pretty clean. The common area has a vacuum cleaner, a washer-dryer, and a luggage scale. There is also a microwave, an oven, and a stovetop available for use. For breakfast, bread, eggs, cereal, milk, and Indomie instant noodles are provided for you to cook yourself.   The hotel's location is very convenient — it's right across from Hotel Skypark II. It's a short walk to Euljiro 1(il)-ga Station and Myeongdong, and there are plenty of great restaurants nearby, as well as a convenience store right across the street. If it weren't for this incident, I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel."

"The room was decent. We stayed here because we were going out in Itaewon at night. We arrived very late, but the self-check-in was quite convenient. It's just a few minutes' walk to Itaewon. (On the way here from the subway station, there's a small downhill path with delicious potato pork bone soup and a supermarket – very convenient!) The room size was okay, but the bathroom was a bit small, not big enough for two people at once. The table could even expand, which was nice! Breakfast was a self-serve buffet, and it looked fun to fry your own eggs, but we couldn't get up early enough. The microwave and water dispenser are on different floors."

A stay at THE CAPSULE Myeongdong places you in the heart of Seoul, within a 15-minute walk of Dongdaemun History and Culture Park and Gwangjang Market. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Make yourself at home in one of the 34 guestrooms. Complimentary wireless internet access is available to keep you connected. Bathrooms feature showers, hair dryers, and slippers.

"The location is in a small street full of busy forklifts, which seems strange at first, but actually the public transport options around are super convenient. The capsule is comfortable and just big enough. Everything feels rather anonymous and there is no staff to greet you most of the time. Bathroom is OK, showers are in the basement and do just what they're supposed to. I'm not sure what the staff is up to in ”The Capsule Research & Development Center” 😜"

HiMate Dongdaemun is a newly built high-rise accommodation located directly across from Dongdaemun History & Culture Park, offering an ideal base for short stays in central Seoul. The property is just a 1-minute walk from Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station (Lines 2, 4, and 5), providing easy access to major areas such as Myeongdong, Jongno, and Euljiro. An airport limousine bus stop (Route 6001) is also located nearby, making airport transfers convenient. The property operates 13 rooms across the 10th and 11th floors of a modern building equipped with an elevator, allowing easy movement with luggage. All rooms and common areas are clean, practical, and well maintained, with ceiling-mounted air-conditioning and heating for year-round comfort. HiMate Dongdaemun is a comfortable and efficient choice for travelers seeking a well-located, clean, and convenient accommodation for short stays in Seoul.

"This was a great place for a solo traveler! The location was perfect, right in front of DDP. It's in a multi-use building, so it might take a little searching to find it. Opening the entrance requires a touch panel, which might seem a bit tricky at first, but it's not difficult at all. The shower and toilet are in the same area with no partition, which some might dislike, but it's manageable if you don't mind things getting a little wet (lol). They provided a toothbrush and two bottles of water. The hairdryer was a Dyson. Even with the AC on, the room still felt a bit warm. My room was on a different floor than the check-in, but the lower floor had amenities like a microwave and coffee, and it seemed like the kitchen and other facilities were freely available for use!"

Located in Seoul's Jung-gu, Unit M Hostel offers a great stay experience for those traveling for fun or business. The property's front desk offers service in 2 languages, including English.

"○ Good place It was the best location to stay alone! Amenities (toothbrush, cotton swab, etc.) Water and towels are in the lobby, so can I take them freely? It was a feeling, so it was saved during my stay! The water pressure was strong and hot water was immediately available! It was good that the staff was at the front desk until 21:00 and I was able to leave my luggage! There was a place to dry the laundry in the room and there was a hanger! However, the room was a bit small and the M size carry could not be spread, so I needed to devise! The voice in the hallway and the voice in the next room were good, so the soundproofing was not so firm! It was a perfect hotel for staying alone! I would like to stay again if I have another chance!"

"I chose this hotel because I was attending a concert at KSPO and it's a direct subway ride back. Even though I was alone, they gave me a twin room! The hotel's location is a bit dimly lit at night, but the room itself was clean. The toilet and sink had a slight sewage-like smell, but it was tolerable. For just sleeping, it was perfectly satisfactory. They provided a set of amenities, which I used. However, the comb was reusable, so I used my own. My room was on the 3rd floor, and the stairs were a bit difficult to climb. On the first floor, there's a shared space with a coffee machine, washing machine, kitchen, and they even provided light snacks. Overall, I was satisfied."

Hotel near Myeong-dong,Seoul
Set in Seoul's Jung-gu, Haechi-stay Myeongdong is positioned to meet the needs of those traveling for fun or business.

"I didn't have my reservation number for check-in, so I contacted them via KakaoTalk and got a quick response, allowing me to check in smoothly. (There were also QR codes for other chat apps like LINE). The room itself was sufficiently clean, as it was new. Besides a refrigerator, there was also a washing machine. Amenities included shampoo, and slippers were provided. The bathroom, with the toilet and shower in the same space, meant the toilet got wet when showering, but this is common in Korea, so it didn't bother me. The quietness was also not an issue at all. There aren't any chairs, so you have to sit on the side of the bed, but the room isn't very spacious, so that's understandable. Due to the building's structure, the elevator only goes up to the 6th floor, so you have to take the stairs for one flight. (The 6th floor seemed to be another hostel). The location is also very convenient, being close to the Myeongdong bustling area. I was a bit worried when I booked because there were no reviews, but ultimately, it was a room I'd like to use again if I have the chance."

Not fair for customer and not even stay over 1 night24 hr. “Please thinking about this point”

Oh my goodness! I was so lucky to choose this hostel. I originally booked a room with two single beds and a private bathroom, but the front desk upgraded me directly to a triple room with one queen bed and one single bed – it was fantastic! It was also very close to the elevator, and there's a luggage scale available in the hallway. Downstairs, there's a huge Olive Young (pharmacy/beauty store), right in the heart of Myeongdong. Across the street, there's a convenience store and the delicious Sinseon Seolleongtang, so everything you need is super convenient. The hostel offers a simple breakfast; personally, I didn't find it particularly delicious, but it was acceptable. You have to wash your own dishes after eating, and the hygiene conditions are excellent. The front desk service was also very enthusiastic and spoke English. I recommend booking two months in advance for more choices and better prices.

This time, I decided to try a new area and chose this motel based on recommendations, and it was absolutely the right decision! It has great access to Mangwon Market, The Hyundai Seoul, and Mullae-dong, allowing me to enjoy a different kind of trip to Korea than usual. The bed was very comfortable. The shower worked perfectly. You can watch Netflix on a large screen. There was some street noise late at night, but it was tolerable. For less than 10,000 yen for two nights, it was excellent value for money. I'd love to stay here again.

I wouldn't recommend it for germaphobes, but the room is spacious, and the location is fantastic! It's close to the station, and there are plenty of restaurants where you can eat alone, as well as Olive Young, Daiso, and convenience stores. If you're just looking for a place to sleep, there's absolutely no problem! Toothbrushes, toothpaste, and towels are self-service, and when I visited, there was staff who could speak a little Japanese!

I really liked this hotel. The bathroom with frosted glass was a nice touch, and the room was cleaned daily with fresh towels replaced every day. Toiletries were also replenished daily. The overhead shower was super cool! The hotel's location is fantastic, situated between two metro stations, making it easy to get to central Seoul. There are also plenty of shops, a market, and cafes nearby. Plus, there are mountains close by if you fancy a hike. They even have signs in Russian, and the owner speaks a bit of Russian too! 😊

+ Good location 👍🏻 + Compared to shared rooms I stayed at other places, this single room was peaceful for me.  + There is an elevator which is also good because lots of guesthouses don't have elevators. - Shower room is uncomfortable for me. (Though I know that type of showers are very common in Korea and maybe a part of the culture, I just wanted to mention it for other foreign people which may feel uncomfortable.) Showers are next to each other in the same room, seperated by the curtains. - Kitchen and the room was a bit dirty. The chair in the room had stains on it. It would be a better accomodation experience if the property were cleaner.

It's only two minutes' walk from the nearest station and has excellent access. There is a convenience store right next to the hotel, and there are 24-hour restaurants nearby, so it's convenient. A refrigerator, dryer, and smartphone charger are provided in the room.(i-phone&type-c only) If there is no staff at the front desk when you check in, you will need to obtain your room number using sns. As others have written, the cleaning situation leaves room for improvement. However, you will be able to stay at a very reasonable price, so I think it would be a good idea to bring slippers and other things to make up for the parts of the floor that are not well cleaned.
