"Excellent! The room was very clean and tidy, and the bathroom was spacious. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby, so you don't have to worry about finding food. There's even an OY (shopping area/department store, assuming 'oy' is a typo for a local landmark or shopping area) nearby to explore. We were only there for a short time as we were attending concerts for two days, but we slept very well. There were 3 complimentary bottles of water in the fridge, so we didn't have to worry about being thirsty. If Inspire is still open next time, we'll definitely stay here again~"

"The 10 AM check-in time caught me a bit off guard; I really should have double-checked. Nevertheless, I was waiting in what I presumed was the lobby, and perhaps sensing my plight, they kindly allowed me to check in a bit early. I was extremely grateful for their understanding."

Mondrian Seoul Itaewon is an immersive lifestyle destination, fueled by bold, captivating design and an expressive, playful mindset.

"Very beautiful hotel. Greeted by staffs who helped open the car door, and get your bags and luggage to the check in counter every day! Only bummer was at check out timing is 11am, we tried asking for later check out timing during check-in and was told hotel is full. Managed to get a late check out of 12pm when we tried again the night before leaving the hotel. Hotel has a little mall,a coffee bean, CU, some expensive restaurants. It also has a sauna (30K won per pax), 1 hot and cold tub and one sauna room. Room amenities can be requested via the web app in your room. Rooms were very modern, however Water from the shower does flood the dry toilet area a little. Generally a great stay."

Hotel near University Road area,Seoul
With a stay at Cave Ryokan Hotel by Anook Sungshin Univ., you'll be centrally located in Seoul, within a 5-minute drive of Dongdaemun History and Culture Park and Korea University. This hotel is 3.3 mi (5.3 km) from Gyeongbokgung Palace and 3.5 mi (5.7 km) from Myeongdong Street. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Make yourself at home in one of the 22 air-conditioned guestrooms. Complimentary wireless internet access is available to keep you connected. Private bathrooms have bidets and hair dryers. Conveniences include complimentary bottled water and blackout drapes/curtains, and housekeeping is provided daily.

"The hotel's design is quite unique and seems well-suited for Korean travelers or solo adventurers. Communication was a bit challenging as the hotel staff didn't speak English, so we relied on Google Translate. However, they were very helpful and had a great attitude. Regarding the room, we booked a city view, but it wasn't quite what we expected. Instead of a clear glass window, you had to open one window, then another, to see the view. The frame of the first window also had to remain open to enjoy the scenery. Also, the window was quite high up; you essentially had to stand on the bed to get a glimpse of the view. The bathroom had a bathtub that could be used for a stone-style hot spring. If you prefer showering, it's not ideal as there's no shower curtain, meaning the entire bathroom gets wet. The room offered Netflix, but the remote control was a bit finicky and sometimes unresponsive. On a positive note, there was a speaker system in the room to play music. Overall, the soundproofing needs improvement as we could hear conversations from the adjacent room. The hotel's location is convenient, close to the subway and bus stations. There's a small night market and a snack discount store right behind the hotel, and it's also near tourist attractions. This hotel is more suitable for backpackers looking for a local experience. I wouldn't recommend it if you have a lot of luggage."

With a stay at Connected Hotel Guro in Seoul (Guro-gu), you'll be a 3-minute drive from Gocheok Sky Dome and 12 minutes from Namdaemun Market. Korean breakfasts are available daily from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM for a fee. Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. Free self parking is available onsite. Make yourself at home in one of the 48 guestrooms. Complimentary wireless internet access is available to keep you connected.

"This time I traveled to Korea alone to watch a performance. I was a bit hesitant to choose this hotel because it's quite new and there weren't many reviews available. Ultimately, I decided to stay because it was close to the venue. The staff were friendly and could communicate in English. The location is convenient; it takes less than five minutes to get to the subway station. Downstairs, there's a convenience store and a fairly large shopping mall with a big supermarket inside. The room also has international power sockets, which was a huge plus. The shower had plenty of hot water, and the toilet had good water pressure. The only downsides are that it's a bit inconvenient for solo travelers if you return to the hotel late, as there aren't many restaurants nearby where you can dine alone. The bed was a bit hard, and it creaked with even small movements. The pillows were too soft, making it hard to get comfortable. Also, the soundproofing is mediocre; you can hear noises from outside the door quite clearly, so I recommend bringing earplugs. Nevertheless, the overall experience was very good, and I would stay here again if needed."

"I wanted to highlight some details I noticed during my trip: 1. They cleaned all the stains off the magnifying mirror, a service I haven't received at other hotels of the same star rating. 2. I visited during the ***** New Year (CNY), and the hotel diary correctly labeled it as CNY, not LNY – much appreciated! 🫶 3. The hotel was very attentive to personal belongings; even when I went downstairs to pick up takeout, they carefully verified the order number. Additionally, the hotel breakfast was excellent. I stayed for four days and three nights, and I had a very satisfying breakfast every morning. The room itself was a bit small, but its convenient location made up for it. It was easy to get around by taxi or on foot! Just a heads-up: if you're heading to Incheon Airport from here, you should allow 1.5 hours for travel time, as there can be traffic. Gimpo Airport might be a more convenient option."

"This hotel is only a block away from The Convention Songpa where we attended our friend’s wedding. It is a bit far from tourist spots in town but it’s on subway line 8. Lotte World Tower and Olympic park are close by. If I come back to Seoul again I probably won’t stay here. Personally I was disappointed with the breakfast. I normally love Korean breakfast but their options were very limited and the same food all three days we stayed there. There was a problem with the drainage in the shower. I stood in a pool of water the whole time and I had to stop my shower twice because I was afraid I was going to flood the floor. If you need hair dryer and iron, you’ll have to request from the front desk. There wasn’t a shower floor mat/rug either. The cleaning staff were very nice though and the front desk folks speak English well."

"This hotel is located right across from Gwangjang Market, down an alleyway with plenty of restaurants nearby. We booked a suite, which was compact but well-organized. It had a unique layout with the bathtub separate from the bathroom, placed next to the bed. The exhaust fan above the tub was constantly running and quite noisy; we couldn't find a switch. We also had trouble with the card key (you have to hold it over the picture on the card, not the numbers). When we mentioned this to the front desk, a female staff member came to help and we also asked about the fan switch (see photo). She mentioned that many guests don't know about it, which made me think they should inform guests at check-in. We also learned that cleaning isn't done unless specifically requested, and this wasn't explained to us either. The staff, including those who spoke Japanese, were very friendly, but we felt there were many things we had to ask about to understand. I also noticed a strong cigarette smell in the room. The female staff denied it, but if it wasn't smoke, it was a very unusual odor that clung to our clothes and luggage. Regarding the limousine bus to Incheon Airport, there isn't a stop nearby. The closest option is to walk to Euljiro 4-ga station and catch it from in front of Hotel Kookdo. (The Connect map showed a bus stop nearby, but their information is sometimes inaccurate). Despite these issues, there were many good aspects, such as the underfloor heating in the room and a table that converted into a dressing table. However, the front desk is unstaffed at times, so I think it would be better if they provided written information about things guests need to know in advance. (My questions via Trip.com also went unanswered, so they might not have been read). There are many questions that aren't immediately clear at check-in."

Amazing
DDouglas_TFrom the moment I stepped out of the car until I reached my room, someone was there to assist me. When I opened the door, the turndown service was already done, and my charging cables were neatly organized and plugged in. By the bed, there was water and a sealed glass. I've stayed in many hotels, both domestically and internationally, but very few make me feel comfortable enough to use their kettle and glasses. The entire service process was seamless and unobtrusive, yet they anticipated every detail I could possibly need for my trip.

GGuest UserExperience was great, service is excellent but location was a bit far from majority of popular locations. The property isn’t maintain properly and for a hotel that’s only few years old it feels like it’s been in service for at least a decade plus. Would not likely stay here again given there’s plenty of better hotels in this price range or lower.

RRenzhenrenThis hotel is perfectly located! It's just south of Seoul City Hall Square and west of Myeongdong. The subway station is only a few dozen meters from the lobby entrance, and Sejong-daero is right to the west. It's also not far from the major palaces and Namsan, so the location couldn't be better. The staff are very friendly, attentive, and welcoming. While the facilities might feel a bit more compact compared to newly built five-star hotels in China, they are well-maintained and perfectly adequate. Overall, it offers great value for money.

AAnonymous UserThe first morning I woke up to a strong smell of urine in the room, but it was fine on the second day. Breakfast was normal on the first day, but on the second day (the 9:30 slot), there was a huge queue. The local guests were really over the top; people were even queuing for fruit, and green bananas were being snatched up – it was quite a sight to behold! But it's still much better than staying at Lotte Tower. At least the front desk service was excellent, and the staff were proactive when I left the hotel. Plus, the surrounding area is great for walking around and exploring, a vast improvement over Lotte.

GGuest UserI rarely write hotel reviews, but I just had to for this one! Today, I decided to explore a different area and moved to a hotel in Hongdae. The contrast was shocking – both are in popular Seoul areas, but the difference was huge! On that note, I'm going to call out 9 Bricks Hotel Hongdae as one to avoid. I'll be reviewing them when I check out tomorrow… Now, let me praise L'escape – the location is absolutely fantastic! It's right by Hoehyeon Station on Subway Line 4, Exit 7. From the escalator at the exit, there are signs directing you to the hotel! Honestly, you don't even need the signs because you can see the hotel as soon as you step out onto the street. There's a slight uphill walk, and as I was halfway up with my luggage, a hotel staff member came running out to help! The service was incredible! 👍 If you don't go above ground from Exit 7, the other direction leads directly into Shinsegae Department Store. It’s a multi-story department store with food, a duty-free shop, luxury goods, and affordable items – great for browsing! Outside on the ground level of Shinsegae, there's a 3D mega-screen, similar to the one at Taikoo Li in Chengdu, but much more visually appealing and with fewer advertisements. The hotel is just a 5-minute walk from Myeongdong. As a proper tourist, Myeongdong is a must-visit! Especially after exploring Hongdae today… I really want to go back to Myeongdong! 😢 Now, about the hotel itself (my picture arrangement is a bit messy, can't adjust it yet…) The hotel itself has a distinctive style. It might feel a little old-fashioned and perhaps not ideal for families with young children, but it's clean, tidy, and still very refined! Even the elevators are decorated, somewhat reminiscent of The Ritz in London. The toiletries are BYREDO, just like at Six Senses. The mini-bar is completely free, and the Nespresso capsules and chocolates are excellent. The hotel's restaurant is Michelin-starred year after year – not cheap, but certainly fantastic. The Tea Lounge was closed by the time I arrived, but I'm sure it's also wonderful. The bar on the 26th floor is very chill, and you can get great photos with ease! The postcards provided in the room are beautiful, and they even offer free mailing! I also love the design of the notepads and the toiletry packaging – the hand-drawn illustration style is gorgeous! The hotel service is also excellent. Most of the staff speak English and are always ready to help with luggage, calling taxis, and opening car doors. In summary, it's a high-end hotel service experience through and through! But I only paid just over 800 RMB for my stay – it far exceeded my expectations! Next time I come to Seoul, I will 100% rebook this hotel.

GGuest UserJW is 5 star because of excellent assistance and service from the Conceirge to bellboy! Oliver recommended and assisted us to book a nice dinner venue for my family at Seokparang. He even initiated to assist me in booking a cab. Mason helped us with the luggage. He even took initiative to ask us for our airport transfer car plate number so he can keep a lookout for us. He even initiated to ask us to sit inside the hotel lobby while he kept a lookout for us. As he understood we are rushing to catch the flight, he even helped us to translate to the cab uncle to hurry for us. All of them speak fluent English, are very warm hearted and takes initiative in offering excellent service with genuine smiles. Our hearts are deeply grateful to them. 5 star 🌟 because of them. 4 star for the rooms don’t have Netflix. It would be great if the family can gather over Netflix entertainment. Small issue though as the service more than cover up for everything! :) We were offered a nice river view which was romantic! Very clean hotel. Location is excellent as train station and direct bus airport limousine is just by the hotel. Great connectivity. Will definitely revisit this hotel again.

OOlga AtbashyanMy stay at the Grand Hyatt Seoul was genuinely impressive. What made the biggest difference for me was the location — it’s truly excellent. There are so many great breakfast spots, restaurants, and shops nearby, and it’s easy to explore the area on foot. Having the metro close by is also a huge plus. It was my first time in Korea, and I honestly felt a bit anxious about where I would stay. But the moment I arrived, those worries disappeared — the area feels lively, safe, and very comfortable to navigate. The hotel itself isn’t brand new, but it’s well maintained. The service is solid, housekeeping is reliable, and overall everything works as it should. Nothing flashy — just consistently good. But really, the location makes this place stand out. It’s one of those rare hotels you actually want to come back to. And I definitely would.

AAnonymous UserAfter staying at a nearby hotel, I moved here for another three nights. The room is cosy and a good size for one person. It might feel small for two, but still manageable. It was very clean, with separate shower and toilet areas. The shower has a frosted glass wall with curtains available, but it’s still something to note if privacy is a concern. The rooftop is a real highlight, offering amazing sunset views, city views, and a great view of Seoul Tower. However, the room itself had no view at all, facing a narrow space between buildings, which made it very dark throughout the day with almost no natural light. I was also given a lower-floor room near the elevator, which was slightly noisy. When I asked if I could change rooms, the request was declined and I was given earplugs instead. Overall, it was an acceptable stay, but considering the price, noisy and dark room, I probably wouldn’t choose to stay again.

GGuest UserPros: - The manager was nice - Hotel was clean and location is nice - Hot spring is as good as advertised Cons: - We arrived at 7am, no staff was present in the counter and we used the Kiosk machine to virtually contact a staff because we only wanted to drop our bag (likely outsourced as we heard there was customer service like conversation and keyboards in the background). We were told to either drop our luggage next to the kiosk machine or we could wait until 9am as the manager will be back at 9. We weren't aware there was office of a spa hotel so we went out for a coffee and came back at around 8:50 in the morning and waited until 9:10. We called again and the lady said the manager will be back at 10am. We wanna make sure if there was staff actually coming but the kiosk cut our line and never picked up our call again. We had no choice but to wait and at last we waited till 9:45 (almost a 3 hour wait) and finally we could drop our bag. If there was office hour of the hotel it should be clearly stated for bad drop and available reception office hour. When we checked out, we would like to keep our bags and the female staff (not the friendly manager mentioned in the pros) was rather rude and told us we could only leave our bag here until 4pm, and told us. in Korea you can only keep your bag until 4. I wasn't sure if it is true but it was different to my previous experience in other Korean hotel. Overall I would say the hotel was nice, certainly not spacious but it was clean and tidy. Good environment overall I would say. It was however not an enjoyable experience because of the staff and services provided. Be reminded to check their office hours when planning your trip.

GGuest UserAn absolutely wonderful experience! We arrived at the hotel before check-in time on a very cold day, and needed to put more clothes on our child. The staff thoughtfully provided us with an unoccupied room to get settled and bundle up, which was incredibly considerate. The reception staff (a young woman and a young man) spoke a little Chinese. I then asked them for travel advice. They were so welcoming and helpful, assisting me with booking Busan train tickets online, calling places I wanted to visit, and making reservations for activities. The young man even took us to a convenience store to buy subway cards and sent me daily itinerary directions. I booked a triple room, which was a two-bedroom apartment, perfect for our family of four. It had a living room and a hot spring bath, and was clean and tidy. Each bed was 1.5 meters wide, which is quite rare. The space was spacious and comfortable. Downstairs, there are aesthetic clinics, hair salons, and several convenience stores. The subway station is also within a 5-minute walk, making it incredibly convenient to get anywhere. You can also walk to a huge shopping mall, which includes a luxury department store like LV, as well as a general shopping complex with plenty of dining and shopping options. We will definitely come back next time!
