"Breakfast still excellent. Staff remembered us even though was 2yrs ago which was nice. Lady on reception very helpful and lovely. The maids were brilliant even chased after us after they found something we left behind The only negative thing was the lads/men took over the pool with too many footballs being thrown around and smashed into us ladies trying to have a chill and cool off which was annoying and frustrating. Thank you for looking after us."

"Went with friend we are 60 female. Felt safe. Clean basic hotel. We had breakfast and evening meal. Breakfast was good english brekkie and continental. Coffee and tea. Cakes and fruit yoghutrt Evening meal had 3 choices and desserts. For what we paid it was good value so cant moan. Close to main square of old towm close to bars restuarants and beach Staff friendly and fast wifi. Small baclcny cant sit on it too small. Showers hot and powerful"

"Stayed at hotel brasil with my mother and baby. One of the reception men very friendly and helpful. Got travel cot and kettle for our room, It was a nice hotel, basic hotel nothing fancy and nothing shabby. Rooms were clean, fridge didn’t work as we had a baby and needed his food to be cold. House maid was very friendly. People were very friendly. Catered to Spanish guests which we liked. It was nice meeting new people. Down side , No baby facilities at all. The hotel is located on a hill so definitely wouldn’t stay here again with suitcases and a buggy. For anyone travelling the bus drops you off at hotel montemar and it is an uphill walk. But it was ok. Wouldn’t suit families with kids or disability. I would recommend Uber taxi. Breakfast was nice variety of food however it was the same thing each day. Lift was extremely slow and very small. Steps into the hotel and no path way which meant had to carry pram up and down steps. Right beside police station, felt sense of safety. However only around 10-15 walk into the old town down hill and very near the poniente beach. I would recommend this hotel for solo travellers looking a cheap stay with your basic needs. But families or people with disability’s definitely not."

"Only giving a one as the staff were the only decent part about it. Came as a group of 12 for a weekend away. The hotel is dirty, tired and nothing atall like the pictures they advertised. Knew is out of the main area that was OK. Arrived on an early morning flight but were told we couldn't check in until 5pm. The pool was vile had a layer of scum on the top. Prices different every time you went to the bar. Ants in the room. Our shower was smashed in and the sink. Food left in the fridge from previous people. Everyones deposit was short even though the rooms were left as we found them....DONT DO IT! "

"Nice enough hotel for the money, was clean and staff friendly, plenty for breakfast lots of choice but was cold.. I’m not one to over complain but it wasnt even luke warm, so stuck to toast and pastries and fruit. We had to be up at 1.30am for our flight and the entertainment went on til midnight, we couldn’t escape the noise from our room. That said… location was nice if u like the old town. Bar and pool were nice."

"This hotel is a classic "you get what you pay for!." Very basic rooms and not the most comfy beds. One of our rooms air conditioning was not working. If you want your rooms cleaned they charge you 25 euros, you only get a towel on each bed and if you would like clean ones they charge a euro per towel. Rooms are only supplied with one toilet roll, you have to ask for another at reception if you need more. Reception is meant to be 24/7, we left a key in the room, no one was at reception, we called a number on the wall at 1 am someone came at 3.30 am to let us in. We constantly had to ask when the bar would be opening for around the pool, they seem to open and close when it suits rather than sticking to opening/closing times. Hotel is a good 15 minute walk from the strip and situated on a very steep hill which was a killer in the heat or after a night on the strip, we even got a taxi back some nights. The hotel behind is a very lively/ noisy hotel with partying going on till gone 6am every night so don't expect to get any sleep!. I wouldn't stay again, paying a bit extra is definitely worth it, this hotel is basically a hostel."
