"We stayed here for a couple of nights at the start of April. We had a single room and a standard twin room. The location of this hotel is very good, right next to the Central Park on the tourist street and opposite the Crowne Plaza which costs a little more. The building is historic and nicely restored. The rooms are clean and relatively new, although the style is a bit dated. They have good facilities, fridge, safe, robes, kettle etc, we had a bit of trouble with the telly but got it to work eventually. Unfortunately the beds are not very comfortable, the mattresses are not good quality. We used the spa which was nice. Staff were friendly and the WiFi worked. Overall this is a good hotel especially out of season when the area is quiet. In high season I think it would probably be quite noisy as the hotel has wooden floor corridors and is in the middle of the tourist strip with a restaurant next door. Borjomi is beautiful and well worth staying in for a couple of nights. Thanks for a pleasant stay."

"Underwood is an amazing family-owned, newly built hotel located at the heart of Borjomi, very close to the historic park and affordable at the same time. A warm welcome during the check-in was crucial for making a positive first impression. Check-in/check-out was easy and quick. The room was super clean, spacious, fresh, and equipped with AC, a minibar, tea cattle, an insect screen, and all the necessary amenities. It had a nice balcony looking to the forest at the back side. Breakfast was somewhat worth mentioning, very good, with nice variety of food, fresh bread, tasty local honey, and amazing crispy home-baked cookies. The owner, Dimitri is amazing person, a true example of hardworking guy who is doing his best to show Georgian hospitality, always ready to host guests with coffee and his home-made wine. Overall, underwood is the best combination of high quality, good service, best location, and affordable price."

"I stayed at this hotel for two nights whilst on an Intrepid trip of Caucasus, and therefore I did not select it myself. That said, this hotel was supposed to be our 'feature stay' and to be honest I'm not sure why! The hotel itself is in a great location right next to the cable car that goes up to Borjami, and is an ex-Iranian palace. The interior is beautiful in the state rooms, so it was really disappointing to find that the bar was closed for the whole time we were there, as was the cafe with the romantic garden. When our guide asked why, we couldn't get a proper answer out of the manager. The breakfast room was also beautiful, but was let down by a very sparse / tardy breakfast being laid out, which let it down a bit. Room-wise it was pretty small and also very dark - which wasn't an issue as were barely in the rooms, but I wouldn't describe them as 'feature'. I was also slightly concerned about maintenance - there were a couple of tables / chairs outside the rooms on the balcony - I sat on one and the leg fell off, which caused me to fall on the floor! Overall I really wanted to love this place, but it was let down in a few parts, and therefore I can't really score it more highly. I think if all of its features had been open, it could have been a different story. "

"This hotel really makes us like ❤️ very much. The boss family is particularly enthusiastic, even if they don't speak much English, they will patiently communicate with us with mobile phone translation software. The whole process is very warm, making people have the same intimacy and security as returning home. The location of the hotel is really great! Walk about 200 meters is the starting point of Cable Car. After taking the cable car, it is the gate and commercial street of National Park , which is very convenient to travel. There is also its own Bar and restaurant in the starting point, the atmosphere is very comfortable, and the food is better than expected. We especially like the fruit wine, fried chicken, and some local specialties, which are worth trying. The whole stay was very pleasant and it was a hotel that would make people feel "warm between people." We really like it here and will choose here next time we come to Borjomi!"
